I also appreciate the gas prices, always the lowest in the area. If you pay with a BJ's credit card you receive an additional ten cents off per gallon. And there are never long lines at the pumps like the ones at Costco. BJ's is very close to my home. I'll keep my memberships as it is worth it for the gas prices and the occasional other items I purchase, but overall I like Costco much better.

Like other wholesale stores, BJ's has great prices on bulk items, and the membership has already paid for itself just in the discounts on vitamins, medicines, and other hygiene/wellness products. They have a solid section of seasonal items and clothing, too. Gas prices are great, as well. I like their app and typically save items to a list before going in-store. You do NOT need to show a membership card to enter the store, but you do need one in order to checkout. Which, speaking of--I always use the self-checkout and have never waited in line. Costco definitely has them beat in the food court section, but shopping at BJ's has never been a hassle for me.

Prices were good and bad. As always prices are controlled by each individual booth owner so some are reasonable and some I would consider unreasonable. The staff in the store were all real friendly and they held our items at the counter as we shopped to keep our hands free for more items, yes that is a problem Just kidding, nice of them to do. I failed to get through the entire store so I will have to make a return trip, my friends are faster than me as I like to look at absolutely every piece to make sure I do not miss than gem I was searching for. This place works great for me because it's really close to my house and it's locally owned. That way I don't have to drive a long way to find what I need for my Dungeons and Dragons campaign. The Hero's Emporium has always had a great selection of brushes, paints, and miniatures that I have come to rely heavily upon as a Dungeon Master. I am always able to find the miniatures that I am looking for whether that be a female gnome paladin or several packages of gnolls that I can paint and throw at my party. All the miniatures are very reasonably priced too, so I can get even larger miniatures like a storm giant for only around $15. For as long as miniatures take me to paint, this is well worth the money. I also want to mention that they offer a decent selction of dice sets to choose from, which is important for any D&D campaign, especially when your dice are fickle. I also love that they offer both old and new sourcebooks for D&D as well as official Nolzurs paint sets, and Icons of the Realms. This gives me a large pool to choose what will be most exciting for my party. Finally I wanted to mention that this business has also done tabletop nights. Although I personally have not attended one of those events, I support the space this business is building for the tabletop community. The staff has also always been very welcoming and helpful, making sure that I am finding everything that I am searching for. I am also occasionally able to find expansion packs for a bit more obscure card game called Smash Up here, which is delightful considering that it's so hard to find in just a regular store like Target.
