There is occasionally a well-behaved chihuahua in the store, but don't worry. She doesn't bark, bite, smell or jump. She belongs to a part-time helper. I, too, wish they had longer hours like the other reviewer mentioned. Sometimes cigarette smoke wafts in from outside where Mr. Walter may smoke, so be aware if you are sensitive to smoke. Itemized receipts would be great, but I realize they aren't a large industry like Goodwill. Mr. Walter is a personable man. He doesn't appear to be racist, which is welcome in St. Bernard where race relations on the part of whites toward blacks and immigrants is often not pretty. I have seen him interact with people of many races, ages, and backgrounds with courtesy. He seems to know we are all God's children, and if I were a skeptic, I'd say he seems to know we are all his potential customers! (But I am not a skeptic.) I'll be back.

They had a great assortment from Good American and Madewell, with a good range of sizes and styles to choose from. So yay because I needed a pair of jeans because the weather was much cooler than I'd packed for. The dress section, however, felt a bit repetitive. Lots of the same styles, so not a ton of variety there. One thing that really stood out was the shoe section, especially if you're a size 10. There was a very large selection, which isn't always easy to find. Overall, a solid stop if you're looking for quality denim and shoes, but also know that it's Nordstrom Rack so options will always vary.

There is a Cafe du Monde but there is usually a line so be patient. There is a somewhat hidden entrance in the Outlets that gets you to the neighboring Hilton without stepping outdoors which is convenient if you are staying there. The reason for 3 stars is that stores will randomly close leaving the mall seem empty. Some of the stores will solicit you to come get free samples of whatever they selling which could be annoying.

Very cluttered, dirty, things thrown all over, pkgs open and thrown on the floor, you name it! Cashier was super rude as well. Didn't greet me, just hand gestured me to come up. I gave her some change (.75) to deduct before paying with my credit card and she said "thanks" and left the change on top of her register (assuming I gave it to her). I asked her if she was going to deduct it first prior to paying with my CC and she rudely told me that I didn't tell her that. I was like WTF? So she proceeds to tell me that she cannot take change as she doesn't need any so I asked her for 3 quarters instead and she stated that she couldn't give me any.
