I had taken them to the store and was told that they would only give me $20.00 for a pair of shoes I paid $64.00 for because I was too late past the deadline. However the Manager took her time in making sure that I was satisfied with my purchase and allowed me to bring the shoes back and exchange for a pair of shoes that I could wear. I had been ill and was out of commission for several months so I couldn't deal with the issue then Again thank you so much for all your help and I will definitely continue to Shop at this JC Penny Store and refer friends and relatives to do the same. This particular store is in…read morean old brick warehouse building in a part of Canton that has a road which is unlined, and is confusing to the driver who isn't aware of the city's negligence of the street. The store is usually in order and the customer service is located on the top floor way in the back, which is inconvenient to the customer. I've been disappointed over the years in the few times I have shopped here, because it appears that Penney's is trying to put itself on the same terms as more of a Macy's store, and this is reflected in Penney's inflated prices on clothing. Even though there are coupons offered, shopping in store is a turn off because I'm not going to pay $50 for a pajama set, supposedly being on sale. Nor pay inflated prices on articles of clothing that are synthetic, being blended with "recycled polyester." Finding a sportcoat at Penney's that is 100% wool is now almost futile. It's a shame too, because once upon a time, before the Insane Man's tariffs on everything, Penney's was an affordable, middle-class store that offered stylish dress clothing without the ludicrous "recycled polyester" that is in everything. The store employees seem to be all right, though I've seldom been asked if I need help, or have been acknowledged with even eye contact. Thus, the experience of shopping at Canton Penney's is one which leaves me devoid of the feeling that I can go in and find what I want, without the nagging thought that most of the merchandise is cheaply made but not cheaply priced.

This building is virtually empty, deceased, and not to forget, a hazard. I mean it when I say, caution entering this decaying tomb. The reason being - there is very heavy mold in the air and on surfaces. Black mold is dangerous to your health. It is not advisable to breathe it in, especially for extended periods of time. Caution should also be taken in the regard of the possibility of slipping in slick, algae infested water pools that are forming under the weather rotted, hole ridden ceiling. Last but not least, it should be noted there is little reason for any person to be wandering around this purposeless place - other than to potentially be up to no good. You could run into the wrong type of thrill seeking people.... do not go here alone if you insist on exploring. There is one small reason I can fathom why the doors remain open, it appears to be serving as only an emergency exit for the lone JC Penny. Tip, some friendly fellows do come to this place for a quiet place to meditate, relax, or for nostalgia. I humbly ask visitors to please respect them and politely leave them be - unless they welcome your company. Out of curiosity of the mall we never heard of before when beginning to head home after a shopping trip to the neighboring Walmart, we decided to step inside the Center. We had no idea we would only be met with disappointment that the entire mall was dead and most parts walled off due to hazards. But, in our short time there, we did meet a friendly 'Ol man there that told us all about the Mall in it's prime days, as he relaxed on a bench to get away from home. He was a very nice guy. He could chat for a lifetime. Abandoned places can be interesting to watch about and visit. But please keep in mind these endings are not all exciting or cool, they are rather depressing and a sad end to an era, especially those who grew up enjoying them in their prime. Please respect these historical resting places, and those who are peacefully reminiscing them. No matter what shape the building may currently be in, it is not an invitation to vandalize it.
