I generally go to this store once a month, and buy over a hundred fifty dollars worth, sometimes a…read morelot more, of merchandise. It's like a treasure hunt for gotta haves & bargains. But this last time when I went there in the morning at N. Canton store in early April '24, was semi-rudely told to not take 2 or 3 extra plastic bags at checkout because she, the cashier, has to pay for them, later saying the store has to pay for them (obviously). I needed them to split some items for others buying for and to make it easier for carrying them (elderly mid - seventies). I had just bought over $125 plus another $40 worth of stuff. I know what bags cost, and they certainly don't cost enough to warrant this attitude when I'm spending this much. I will probably go back to this store eventually, but not for a long while, and when inside if I see that cashier again, then I will turn around and leave because I will not be subjected to that attitude & humiliation. Also, I didn't like the 'security' person following me around the store for an hour & a half, keeping at a safe distance like about 20 feet nonchalantly trying to look like a shopper while not having a cart w/ items in it...so obvious. Anyways, they have mostly nice items in there, and recommend the store; just beware of the 'bag crazy' cashier & the security guy. Thanks for letting me vent...

We went again today like normal, and everything was good until we were in the last section we wanted to look at. A worker walked over to us, I'm assuming the manager, he said " think it's time for you to leave now". We were both confused and asked him "what?". He told us that his worker said that we were rude to him and that we threatened to "walk on the tables". We were both shocked and confused because we were never rude to an employee let alone even see an employee the whole time we were there. We tried to tell him that we never did that and that we would like to hear the employees side since the manager said we were rude to the employee. The manager refused to let us talk to or even explain further with what happened with this employee. By the time we were by the door we asked again to talk to the employee who we were accused of being so rude to, and this manager said he doesn't want to argue and that he will call the cops on us if we don't leave. Don't waste your time at this store, they are rude and uncooperative when there is any kind of issue. Stay away and do not support them.

I could not wait to walk through those bright shiny doors connected to that big industrial-looking building. Seeing the big, blue Gabe's sign really made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Nostalgia from a time long past, I suppose. Some of my Booty included two sweaters one was a Poof ($12.99) and the other was Simply Couture ($16.99), and an embellished duster ($12.99), five work shirts - 3 of them were Harve Benard which I like that brand. Two activewear tops one was $1 and one was $3, one casual top which was $5, two blanket storage bags for $4 each, a REALLY sexy bra and panty set for $7 and two packs of Christmas-themed socks that completely humiliated my family when they put them on their feet X-mas Eve!  All of that for $140! That's including tax! I say it was a pretty successful day at Gabe's!
