Best burger place in Rexburg!! Good food friendly staff when it gets busy it gets a little crowded and noisey but over all good place. Wish it wasn't so far outside of town would go there a lot more often then what I do. Prices are good for what you get. read more

Have not been there for years until the other day. They have went to double r ranch beef and like ALBERTSONS they have an edge in meat over all their competitors. That is the best snake river beef ever as it is from Idaho mostly and IDAHO does raise the best Angus beef I know of! Many items on the menu, but if you come here get BEEF. THE BURGERS ARE TOP NOTCH. My family has been to Big Jud's and have had a few good experiences over the last 7 months of living here. We had enjoyed the big family sized hamburgers and felt that it was one of the better places to get a great burger. Tonight my view has changed. I hope this letter finds a way to the owner or a manager there, because we are truly disappointed. Wow Big Jud's has gone downhill. Their management is terrible. My husband and I went on a tonight (a Friday night) at 9:00. It took 20 minutes to be seated (even though there were empty seats.) After we were seated it took another 15 minutes to be asked if we wanted something to drink. The waitress did a good job keeping our drinks filled. After sitting down for 40 minutes we finally got our French fries. At 10:15 we finally got our 2 small hamburgers. I ordered the hamburger with onions and mushrooms. They tasted steamed. (Yuck) My bottom bun was soggy as well. The burger was not satisfying and I felt queasy from that hamburger. The bus girl was another story. I am not even sure where to begin with her. She wiped all of the stuff from the table onto the floor. The floor was disgusting. I am a mother of 4 and I have had dirty floor. I have never had my floor that nasty. The entire floor was covered in napkins, fries, straw covers, mushrooms and onions. We had to take some big step trying to get over all of the debris. The tables had been empty for a long time before we left. There were no excuses. She should have gone around sweeping the floor and been more diligent cleaning the tables. It took her 40 minutes to kind of clean 4 tables and rearrange them. When we left, there were still some tables that were nasty, that had been empty for a long time. To top it off, she used the same wet rag on the tables that she used on the chairs. It looked like she was too busy giggling in the dishwashing room. There were chairs with holes in the upholstery, There was ketchup on the wall. Paint was chipping from the walls and from the metal conduit. There were cracks in the cinderblock. The Grill looked like it was filthy. We saw a line of about 15 people waiting to pay for their bill. Now I understand that some of them wanted ice cream, but they should have been able to pay. Get this, when my husband hurried and went to pay, the cashier asked him how much he wanted to tip. I have never had someone ask how much we wanted to tip. He is usually a good tipper, but tonight they did not earn a very good one. He gave a small percent, only because he felt sorry for the waitress. We are very sad about tonight's experience. Big Jud's was our favorite restaurant. It was one that I have been craving. Now it is just a bad memory and a HUGE disappointment. If I were the owner, I would anticipate X amount of hamburgers and would have them on the grill. I would have someone turn over fries so there would be a surplus before the huge Friday night rush. I would try to get the tables cleaned with-in 3 minutes of a customer leaving. I would have it be part of the job description of the bus girl to sweep the floor. I would have the waitress bring out the check when the customer is 2/3's of the way done with the dinner. We never got one. We did not want to wait, even though by the time we were leaving, the restaurant was 1/2 full. read more

I've heard stories of this place from my husband for years, and unfortunately it does not live up to its hype. The burgers are mediocre (I've had better fast food burgers) and the fries are just plain awful! Also, the service is very slow and it is not a family-friendly restaurant. There is ONE co-ed bathroom in the whole place. I spent half of my meal waiting in line for my kids to go potty. It was not a pleasant experience. read more

Great burgers! It's a nice, old fashion, western burger place. We had great customer service from our waitress. And the food was amazing. The large basket of fries is enough for an entire family and the burgers are made to satisfy! It was a little pricey with drinks, fries, and burgers, but you're deffinately getting enough food to compensate. It was a delightful experience and I'm planning to go back soon! read more

Super fun place to go with a group of buddies or on a date. The big jud burger is just something everyone has to get at least once, maybe twice. The food was pretty good. I think my ice-cream they used for my shake was a little freezer burnt though. Good burgers but my experience with their shakes was not so great. read more

this place is known for their huge burgers that you can split between 4 people. the bread's a little too big/much, the burger meat is pretty good. i really like the fries. it's a hole in the wall, and you;d never expect it there. it was a fun experience but of course it's i've had better. if you eat the burger by yourself, they'll put you in their wall of fame. read more

If you're on a budget, and don't mind driving 15 minutes, you cannot do much better than Big Jud's. Portions are gigantic, burgers are juicy and well made. Appetizers are satisfying and their sweet-potato waffle fries are to die for. Big Jud's is my go to restaurant for any occasion. read more

We were visiting family and went to Big Jud's with our 12-year-old taking the Big Jud's Burger challenge (1 lb, loaded fries, large soda). The burgers were good and the customer service was very pleasant. The sweet potato fries were awesome; we didn't think the regular fries tasted all that great, but the shake was very good. All the way from South Florida on the way to Yellowstone. The burgers were excellent and the fries PERFECT. Just like those served at the Potato Patch in Kennywood (near the Burg)full sized, crusty brown, and steaming hot. If you don't like these, you probably still eat orange mac and cheese from a box. read more

Almost as good as home made, and that's saying a lot. Simple, good burger without any fancy secret sauce, sautéed stuff, or any other junk. Bun, patty(s), lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, pickles, onion, ketchup, and mayonnaise is all you need to make a great hamburger, and they do it well. I was satisfied with the quality of their hamburger. I don't claim to be a hamburger meat expert, but I thought it was better than what you get from other establishments. It's a fun place to visit if you've got the time to make the drive with a group of friends. The food is good and plentiful. Share a big burger, or get your very own.
