Dave and team completely renovated our full kitchen and both bathrooms. This included layout changes, dropped walls, ceiling changes, and trenching concrete. He did an absolutely epic job. Working with Big Ideas means that you'll be working with two teams: Dave and his direct staff who do quality work, and then a variety of subs for tile/cabinetry/electrical/plumbing. Dave and his direct team are absolutely solid but even more impressive was the subcontractors that he brings to the table... in particular his tile guy and his cabinetry guy are just unbelievable. I was shocked at the attention to detail the whole team brought .... I'm incredibly picky and 99% of the time the crew was just doing spot on work. Big Ideas just (mostly) completed my home remodel. It initially started as a kitchen/family room redo but eventually became more of the whole house because I trusted the work being done. Dave and company (which means mostly Eddie) were a pleasure to work with and provided more detailed communication than I expected (another pleasant surprise in the experience). It was easy to share ideas with Dave and get quick feedback. His ideas outside the initial plans were greatly appreciated and always spot on for what was needed. One of the things I most appreciated about working with Dave was his willingness to preserve my custom cabinets built by a friend and incorporate with the newly build island/peninsula. Careful care was taken to protect the existing cabinets, even while tearing out the old countertops. The kitchen now looks like I had envisioned it. And why the "mostly"? There was a measurement mistake for my new refrigerator (not Dave's mistake!) that meant adjusting my custom cabinet which meant finding hickory to use for making new doors and then matching the existing stain. Waiting for the new doors to be delivered and installed mid January. I'd call on Dave and Big Ideas to work here again! read more

We are so happy that we chose Big Ideas for our master bath/laundry room combo remodel! We contacted and interviewed at least half dozen contractors and took a couple months to arrive at a decision. We just weren't comfortable with the other contractors for various reasons; but Big Ideas was just what we had in mind. Dave (the owner) was thorough and clear about what we were to expect and the schedule was right on the wall next to our bathroom so we knew what was happening each day. He was always available for communication and exceptionally responsive to all of our concerns and questions. His subcontractors were very polite, professional and did quality work. His right hand man, Rory was amazing also. He did all the demolition work that was super challenging for us; as remodeling is not something for the faint-hearted :-), and somehow made it as clean as was humanly possible so we could still use the adjacent bedroom. The project was on time as scheduled and we now have a beautiful, bright and cheerful master bathroom from what was a dark useless bathroom that was poorly constructed.. and a laundry room, which we didn't have before. Thanks to Dave, Rory and all the wonderful subcontractors that made it possible - they're the best. If we have any future remodeling plans, we'd chose Big Ideas again without hesitation. I live in a condo complex and a neighbor had a sewage flood that seeped through the wall and into the floor of a bedroom in my unit. The neighbors were renting and I was getting no cooperation from my HOA regarding the neighboring homeowners information. I called my own insurance to get the ball rolling and was told to find my own company to do the repairs. Thank GOODNESS I found Dave and his crew! We had a major water event the effected all of our cabinets and center island. Dave and Eddie always showed up on time, our early. Their work product was top notch and resulted in a repair that looks better than the original before the water damage. They leave the work site,every day in a very clean condition. We asked our plumber about a bathroom remodel and he suggested Dave from Big Ideas. What a great suggestion! In keeping with the name of his business, he had many good "ideas" to offer from his years of experience, yet he did not force his opinions on us. He expressed to us that we were the ones to ultimately live with the bathroom so we needed to choose what was right for us. That was the right thing for him to say! Two bathrooms later and we are writing him a great review. We were very pleased that when the work began Dave posted a copy of the work schedule so that we were alerted to who was coming each day, and whether it was morning or afternoon. If any changes to that schedule needed to be made he cleared it with us in advance. They took extra precautions to keep our home clean by laying down plastic on the carpet, paper on the entry tile, and sweeping and picking up tools so that our home stayed reasonably presentable despite the remodel. Rory, Dave's right hand man, is on time, hardworking, neat, very pleasant, and does great work! He laid the groundwork in our bathrooms for the wonderful finished product we have today.The work crews Dave has are independent contractors themselves and are tops in their fields. We had need of a plumber, electrician, drywaller, tile setter, cabinetmaker, and granite fabricator. Each and every one of these people did fine work for us and are professionals! Two other standouts are the tile setter and his partner, Jesse and Kevin. Jesse is more than a tile setter; he is an artist. He delights in using his talents to create a masterpiece with whatever medium he has - tile, natural stone, or carpet. He shoots for perfection and beauty, and that is what you get when his work is complete. We are extremely pleased with both bathrooms! Dave, Rory, and their crews could not have made us happier! The pricing was very fair compared to other estimates we obtained. The work was done in a very timely fashion, even finishing a little early on the 2nd bathroom. Dave, himself, is a very honest man with great integrity. He is always keeping a check on the project himself, and is available to talk with by phone or on site for questions or any issue. Dave did an amazing job remodeling our ugly old rotting disgusting bathroom. In the small space he had to work with, he created a bathroom gorgeous enough to be a Master Bath in a designers magazine. I LOVE our new bathroom! The tile, granite, and cabinetry are all beautiful. The quality of the tile job, and the cabinetry is superior. And it was great for once having a contractor create a timeline before starting the job, and then sticking to it the entire time. Dave did the most wonderful job on our kitchen. This was the first big project that my husband and I have done in our home and we were prepared for the occasional hiccup based on the stories we'd heard from friends who had worked with different contractors.
