It was my first time getting acupuncture and I felt the gentleman who did this didn't take time to explain what he did and how it will help me. They did not know that I happened to speak and understand the language. Most of the employees speak little English so I hope they are at least compensated fairly. Unfortunately I cannot support a business that does not treat their employees with respect.

What should have left me feeling better after a one hour session, left me feeling nothing but "need" for a better massage after. --- early bird special here is a really sweet deal ($39 before 3pm). I felt like the rooms are perfectly fine. I can see why some people think it resembles a hospital room, but I was perfectly fine with it and the songs they played downstairs. I like how the noise level was kept to a minimal and there's the option of a room on the second floor where you can have your massage in the same room with a friend. However, I prefer downstairs over upstairs. It's a lot less quiet upstairs. My masseuse Tracy wasn't too good....in the sense that I hardly felt anything after the massage. However, I wouldn't mind trying a different masseur/ masseuse next time. Luna's not bad as a masseuse. Favourite so far would be Kelly :) (non RMT) And New favourite, but he's an RMT.... Pricier, but well worth it if you're covered :) Phillip's the name. I was 10 minutes late but he was very chill about everything and gave me my full hour of massage therapy. My shoulders feel so much better/ relaxed now. You definitely feel an obvious difference. He also explained a lot of stuff in Chinese to me and showed me some stretches to improve my problem areas. He speaks English rather well, I just prefer using Chinese. On a side note, they have 3 registered RMT's here that work from Monday to Sunday with different availabilities. The massage itself was excellent -- strong, deep work that really helped with my back pain. They were pretty busy when I came in, and since I didn't have a reservation, they asked if I was okay sharing a room. I didn't mind at all. There were people nearby talking in Chinese, which some might find distracting, but it didn't bother me since I was just focused on getting relief. While they didn't do the "walking on the back" technique like some other massage places, the therapist gave a deep enough massage that it felt great. Overall, I'm just really grateful they could accommodate me last-minute -- I'll definitely be back.

The receptionist proposed a rescheduled date, but it didn't work for my partner. Rather than try to find a solution that would work, she opted to forego any attempt at customer service and simply said "there is nothing we can do." When my partner again tried to find a reasonable solution, the receptionist lacked the training or ability to deal with situation in a mature way, and chose to hang up mid-call. To call such action unprofessional would be an understatement. The reason to cancel the appoint is totally understandable, but a qualified receptionist with even the most basic customer service skills would attempt to come up with a feasible alternative to suit the customer, especially since there would have been an $80+GST cancelling fee if my partner would have been the one who had cancelled. Any professional organization that has high standards for their customers should also have high standards for themselves, but sadly, those standards seemed nonexistent. So one star for the unprofessional customer service, and hopefully the staff will receive the basic training required to engage with customers in a professional manner in the future. I have a coming appointment on 18th, hopefully they won't cancel it before the last minute. I also had a massage with Woo and he is also good. I will also recommend Woo. I booked Joanne for my acupuncture and again she is the best acupuncture I had. She started understanding my health condition with a lot of good question and check my pulse and everything. Then she started my treatment with deep pressure points that was the best part of my treatment and then use the needles. I never had an acupuncture that takes time to really understand your body and never rush the treatment like Joanne. I felt really good instantly after and have booked her again and again. I highly recommend Joanne for your acupuncture needs!
