    Hot dog comes with fries
    Frank H.

We came here to grab a bite to eat and my husband ordered the footlong hot dog. This hot dog is huge (he paid a little extra for sauerkraut). This could easily be shared between two or more people and only cost $9.99 (large amount of fries included). Bottled water is free as well. We were greeted promptly and the cashier was pleasant. The seating space is massive as it was a buffet once upon a time. Definitely worth the money!

Well let's just say I really love Quinault, nice rooms, beach front, what more could you ask for?? Food pre covid was better. Emily's is good. They took their cafe-ish food area and moved it to the old buffet area and renamed it Big Eats, but pretty much didn't improve on a already boring "bar food" menu to order from. Not only did they not improve the menu, they inflated the prices. But we were hungry and it was late. The place is usually pretty empty even on busy nights but it was just me my husband and one more couple and a guy waiting to buy pre packaged ice cream out of the container out where we were waiting. When we walked in we noticed there were pizza boxes. Now that was new! Asked the two ladies behind the" pizza" counter if the pizza was good. One woman who was literally laying her arms and head down on top of the counter like she was about to take a nap said mmmmmm, it's okay. The other lady gave her a side eye and walked away. So no pizza for us. Then another girl who was taking the orders was wishy washy as well, and poo pooed the jalapeño poppers but we ordered them anyway. The poor man behind is has been waiting for someone to come over and pluck his chosen prepackaged frozen gems from the ice cream cabinet. Sleepy head just stood there with her head down on the top of the counter and then proceeded to pull up a chair and sit down to surf the web. There were a least 4 people working and 5 customers So when we where done ordering the cashier lady finally came to attended to ice cream guy. The jalapeño poppers were 8 dollars, which wasn't bad compared to the 13.00 chicken fingers we also got. We just had to laugh when we opened them. Oh well. But c'mon Quinault It's not that hard for these people to be friendly and helpful and not make you feel like you are inconveniencing them. Not a fun experience.

Thanksgiving buffet, very few choices, flow not good, big room to accommodate large parties very drab. Certainly not worth $42.00

The restaurant is easy to find, located in a plaza with other businesses, so there's plenty of parking available. I also like that their hours are posted in military time; it's a small detail, but it removes any confusion about opening and closing times. The space itself is on the smaller side, but it feels comfortable and welcoming. We arrived around 17:00 on a Wednesday and were seated quickly. Service was friendly from start to finish--menus were brought promptly, and we were asked about drinks right away (water was perfect for us). Throughout the meal, the staff was attentive without being intrusive, refilling our water and clearing dishes at just the right times. We started with the agedashi tofu to share. The broth was flavorful and the tofu was prepared well, with that soft, gooey, gelatinous consistency. While it wasn't quite my personal preference (I tend to favor a crispier texture), it was still tasty and likely ideal for those who enjoy it that way. For our main dishes, my son ordered the tonkatsu corn ramen, and I had the black garlic ramen (without bean sprouts--personal preference). This was our first ramen spot since moving to Washington, and it genuinely reminded us of a favorite place we used to visit in Sacramento. The broth was rich, creamy, and deeply savory--absolutely delicious. I especially liked that the ramen was served with a ladle instead of a standard soup spoon, which made it easier to sip more of the broth. The noodles were cooked perfectly--not too firm, not too soft--and paired really well with the toppings. My son even commented on the generous portion of noodles, which I joked was exactly what we signed up for when ordering ramen! We both finished our bowls feeling completely satisfied. The chashu and egg were highlights for me--I took my time consuming them. My only small critique is that I wish the ramen included a full soft-boiled egg instead of just half, especially with bowls averaging around $17. Overall, this was a great dining experience with flavorful food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere. While I have a couple of minor preferences, I would definitely return and recommend it to others looking for quality ramen in the area.
