It can feel intimidating when there are several bikers there. They are all there to socialize, meet other enthusiasts and have a can of beer. There is no tap available. The car was across the street since we were headed in that direction. The car had just pulled out when a host of bikers got ready to depart. One person stopped traffic in both directions. One by one, the bikers headed out with noisy mufflers and their live music on their cycles. At least 50 bikes pulled out. Most impressive and quite the show. Note: parking is typically easier if you use a lot across the street. The bikes tend to take up the parking.

The place was already bustling, and there was live music that night, which made the whole atmosphere feel really lively and fun. We each enjoyed a bottle of sarsaparilla and a prime rib dinner, which was the special of the night. The food was decent, but honestly, the vibe was the real highlight for me. They have live bull riding on Wednesday and Friday evenings, which sounded really cool. We were pretty wiped out and still had an hour of driving ahead of us, so we didn't stay for that part, but it definitely made me want to come back another time. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd love to return on a Friday night to check out the children's mutton riding competition, which I heard is especially cute.

Breakfast is pretty good and the build your own Bloody Mary is nice with lots of toppings.

The liver was fork, tender and delicious and not only came with onions, but two strips of bacon. We really liked the battered french fries and the mashed potatoes were fine. As expected, it was quite busy and our server wasn't always there when we needed him. But at half off, it's hard to complain.

The pork chops were very overcooked and dry. He didn't even eat a whole one. The mashed potatoes were gummy. My chicken fried steak was decent but the rye toast was as hard as a rock. Our server discounted several items which I appreciate, but tasty food would have been preferred.

I am not a big burger person, but WOW their black and blue burger was amazing. I asked for medium, and to my surprise a little ole gas station could crank out a burger cooked to order in such fast time. I was there this weekend for an event in town called Wild West days, I was shocked at how busy it was, but waited in line. The girl behind the counter (Brooke) was so friendly and took orders like a well oiled machine. She seems to genuinely care about her job, her customers and was running the team like a true captain of the big earls crew. A man from the back ( I'm guessing the guy in charge) kept coming out to talk to her, and it seemed like to make sure everything was going smoothly. I heard a lot of "good job team" "thank you so much" and "keep up the good work boys" from both the girls up front and the boys in the back. (It really is amazing what you see when you wait in line for 5 minutes ) I was SO impressed by their team skills. Ok enough about that, back to the FOOD! Holy cow, what an amazing burger, just as Brooke told me it was going to be, She did a good job at selling it to us haha, it was juicy, had a good flavor to it, and the bun was so buttery and crispy. We also ordered some onions rings YUM, and a peanut butter milkshake, they used REAL peanut butter and wow was it so good. Just like I make at home for my kids. The wrap this long winded thing up... Big Earls was amazing. I was impressed from the moment I walked into the doors until I left with a full belly and a need to tell you all to go here. If they can make that good of food on a busy day, I can't wait to go back and see what else is in store on a slower day! read more

WOW!!!!! I have heard a lot about all of the changes going on at Big Earls Greasy Eats in Cave Creek and had to see for myself. I didn't think it could get any better. I was wrong, it was amazing!!! They have a full bar AND the most killer beer menu I've seen outside of the city. I had "The Bleu Burger", fry's and a Dog Fish Head 90 min IPA. The meal was fantastic and the beer was ice cold and delicious. The gal behind the counter wasn't to bad either, haha. I couldn't believe that it was the same place. I have been there before and I have to say, every summer there seems to be a large amount of fly's there. I thought it was a little odd and as I went to more and more places in Cave Creek I noticed that EVERYWHERE was having the same problem. I talked with some of the locals and it seems that this time of year the high desert has fly's. During my visit, I over here the owner and a guy who was happy to pass me one of his business cards ( Service Organica; all natural/organic pest control) talking about their upcoming appointment. Apparently the owner has tried everything to get rid of the fly's in the summer with no avail. Well the pest control man , Jeff, has a product with a high concentration of Cedar Oil in it. He guarantees this product to no end. I was so intrigued by this product that I'm now having him spray my house in Tempe, lol. So... a great meal, an ice cold beer and a new connection. The best lunch I've had in a long time. The only thing that could have made it better is if the connection I made was with the gal behind the bar. read more

Big Earl's isn't just another small town hamburger joint...they are an integral part of Cave Creek and take such good care of their customers. Their food is fantastic, but their pride in ownership and service to their Community is what has me leaving this review. I want to thank them for always going above and beyond to hold fun theme nights for their customers, for holding charity events to raise funds for a fellow Creeker in a time of need, for feeding first responders who fight the desert fires, for holding drive-in movie nights during the Covid epidemic so we could safely get out of the house and have a little fun, for helping raise money for our local schools, for getting creative with take out orders while dining in hasn't been an option, for always leaving positive reviews for other establishments in town to help encourage others to support them as well, and for bringing everyone together and reminding us we are really like one big family up here in Cave Creek. We never have company from out of town without taking them to Big Earl's for a great taste of our little piece of heaven called Cave Creek! read more

Love this place! I am allergic to beef and it's so hard to find a good turkey burger. This place has it! I also usually order the Cajun fries, but I also steal some of my husband's onion rings haha. My husband loves their Big Kahuna burger. Their staff has always been friendly and professional. In the nicer months, we love sitting outside and watching the cars and people go by or hang out in back with our son to play games. In the hotter months we sit outside with the misters or eat in our air conditioned car. I always see the owner offering to volunteer at community events as well as donating to various local charities. They have done fundraisers to pay off local school lunch debts and donate money to our schools. As well as helped people after local devastating fires. This place is a staple to our beautiful little town and a must visit. YUM! read more

We were in the area and grabbed some lunch from Big earls. We had a couple burgers, a kids hot dog, apple slices, fries, Onion rings, and Mac n cheese bites. My burger was cooked all the way through, my fiancé's was still pretty rare (which she didn't care for) bun was good, choice of cheeses, toppings were good, bacon was good, mushrooms were ok, spicy Mayo sauce they use is very flavorful. The French fries are awesome, seem battered. The onion rings were good. The macaroni and cheese bites are WAY overpriced at $8 for a small portion of them, but they tasted excellent. Overall solid place, very friendly staff, good vibe and atmosphere. Enjoyed the decor and outside seating. Would recommend. Might tell them if you want your burger cooked a certain way because they didn't ask us and each of ours were different. read more

Came into big earl's on Saturday morning for breakfast with my family! It was delicious (recommend the chicken fried steak &eggs) As we were done ordering and talking with the girl she told us about the annual White Trash Bash that was later that night and how fun it is! My wife and I decided that day we had to attend! We got back around 8:30pm and were served by the same young lady as that morning. Overall the White Trash Bash was very fun and eventful. All hands were on deck and you could tell the employees were working as fast and hard as possible( though I saw so many customers being rude to them) Hope they were appreciated for all the hard work. This place is everything that is wonderful about Cave Creek. Locally owned by an actual graduate of the Cave Creek Unified School district this place is as authentic and cool as it comes! From great outdoor space for hanging out and enjoying the views of the town to the awesome food- this is a spot not to miss! Add it to your list when you're visiting Cave Creek for bike week and to tour all the cool shops. Great service, awesome food and ice cold drinks. Brooke and Collin are the best and will go above and beyond to make sure you have a great time here! Have you been to their Monday drive thru movies? If not, grab your kids and go. An iconic Berger joint in the heart of Cave Creek! I love the renovations to the back patio for more seating and elbow room for the littles to play while the grown ups have adult milk shakes!! And the front seating is great to watch the world go by. My fave is the fried chicken sandwich and the Big Earl Burger, hubs loves the Blacked Blue and Mushroom burgers. The littles swear it's the best grilled cheese and plain burgers ever. Definitely a family favorite! So glad they are doing curbside too so we can still indulge in the seasoned french fries even while spending more time at home. This is THE BEST burger anywhere. Lots of history combined with an excellent staff who are happy and exude their passion in their jobs. The owner is on sight and I have personally seen her doing everything that her staff does. She is involved and is passionate. They have outdoor dining options and all through the pandemic they kept patrons outside only allowing 5 at a time inside to order. Our state is really strange with mask stuff it's hard to keep up honestly. The burgers are awesome and the milkshakes-- to die for!! We enjoyed a movie night which I think was an awesome idea to get out of the house and live a little. I love this place and will support them!!! read more

It was the best party melt in cave creek and fries were super yummy! We stopped in after a late afternoon drive to horse shoe lake on a Monday night. It was nice that it wasn't super crowded, and that they had inside dinner (it's a little chili tonight) the patty melt, well it was perfect and i ate every single bite! Fries were fabulous. Service was fast, and friendly. We very much enjoyed our food and the atmosphere. Love the Lucy in the chocolate factory clock! What a dive. Not in a good way. I think the four girls who just reviewed it must be friends of the owners. It used to be a decent little burger stand, now it's ruined. It was never great, but it was not priced that way either. It was transformed into way overpriced, overdone burgers and equally oversweet and high dollar shakes..now with a liquor license and a volleybore court. Whoopee, alert the media. Should've stuck to what worked. Flies galore as well since they got rid of the fly traps. They killed the experience when they remodeled and raised the prices. Skip it. read more

I'll be the first to admit that their menu is little more than "Grease," "Sugar," and "Fried Greasy Sugar," but it's hard to knock a place that just knows what it does best. The burgers are always big and juicy, with a little je ne sais quoi spice on them that really brings out the flavor. The fries are the great, though occasionally a little on the mushy side. The killer, however, are their shakes and malts. I will go to the restaurant El Encanto just across the street, have great Mexican food, and save room for a Big Earl's chocolate malt. This is the good Big Earls in Cave Creek, not to be confused with the awful BBQ joint in scottsdale. They should make their own name instead of ripping off Big Earls well deserved and hard earned reputation. Big Earls in Cave Creek is one of my favorite places in the Phoenix area. Always good food and service. The Big Kahuna burger is by far the best Hawiian style burger I have ever had, and I have had alot. I will be back often! read more

Owner is an anti-masker and employees are no longer required to wear masks while working--customers, too. Just watch their latest Instagram video to hear for yourself. You'd think that since they've already had a COVID outbreak, they wouldn't be SO quick to drop safety protocols as soon as the mask mandate ended. My family and friends will miss coming to this local favorite, but no longer feel safe eating their food. read more

The regulars love to see her when she's working - and she definitely has a following ! A hard worker who I've even seen there on her days off - taking care of business needs!
