Much to my surprise this was the BEST Torrid that I've ever been to!!! Granted it wasn't busy but there was also only one woman working and I wasn't "the only" person in the store. This woman's name was "Lexi". I wonder if maybe she was the manager because she was super professional while being so sweet!!!! I will honestly go to this Torrid location whenever I need to shop at Torrid!!!! She made my day while it was so dreaded before!! Thank you Lexi!

Not only did I not buy anything, but my two friends didn't buy anything either, even though they both also found some really awesome things. The reason we made no purchases is because of the prices. $50 for a light summer top or $100 for a simple cotton dress. Although the items were cute, the quality didn't justify the prices. One of the tops we looked at was actually unraveling a bit at the seam. I'm quite good at repairing clothing and don't mind less than perfect quality but when I'm paying top dollar I expect top quality. I wouldn't consider buying anything at Torrid unless the prices are significantly reduced.

The items are the same quality as the regular store, but at a much lower cost. A brand new J. Crew Factory store just opened last week in West Hartford's Corbin's Corner. The store has a great layout, and plenty of great summer pieces, for men, women and children. Most of the store is currently on sale for 40 - 50% off. Since this store is brand new, the exterior is still under construction, but It's what's on the inside that matters. The sales associates are friendly and answered all my questions. I've already been here twice since they opened last week. I'm glad to have a factory store nearby now. It's a good idea to come in frequently as new stock comes in often.

Not only was the store clean and organized, but we were able to find so many great items for both my husband and our 3 year old son. I was elated to find several matching shirts for them to wear over the summer, which I look forward to seeing them in together. Prices were great and having the teacher discount on top of it was excellent. When we went up to the register, the young lady behind the counter (Lauren A) was patient as we troubleshooted which email my J.Crew account was linked to. We ended up sharing some small talk about my husband and I being educators and she was very sweet in engaging about our jobs, summer break, and which grade levels we worked with. She was so positive and genuinely happy/helpful. This wasn't exclusive just to us either. We overheard similar interactions with her and other customers in line before we approached. She was just a kind person, who seemed dedicated to her job. We will definitely return!

The shoes are hideous and everything else that is from the last century is pretty high priced. I did find a pair of purple forever 21+ skinny jeans here a few months ago, but I want to say I paid $12-$15 for them and if they were on sale in the store, I could have bought them new. From time to time, I still check back to see if anything has changed in here (because it is a great concept), but so far, not my favorite place.

They claim you can save up to 70 percent off regular prices. The store was well stocked and very neat when we shopped today. I didn't find anything I wanted, but my wife did. We'll be attending a Charity Banquet and Ball in a few weeks, and she was looking for a dress to wear. She found a beauty - a nice red Calvin Klein dress stickered at $134 but tagged at just $49.97. That's 62% off. Customer service was great. When we went to the register to pay, we saw a minor stitching defect at the back of the dress. Our cashier arranged for a runner to head back to the rack with us and we found the exact same dress in perfect condition. No complaints at all.

Even though the pants are not that cheap everywhere I go that has "plus sizes" only has up to an XL and there usually over 100 dollars but I got 4 pants for about 130 and with the torrid discount for first time credit card users i got 2 pants this trip and than 2 pairs and 2 shirts for under $100.
