Stopped in for a lunch after a sectional hike on the AT. A great choice for BBQ. The food was great , lots of selection for bbq sauces, tried out all of those. Everything was home made. The pulled pork and the briskets were great. Along w the Oakra and the chips. Shout out to the super friendly hostess / waitress. Got to enjoy live music. A few local folks get together there Sat mornings.

I am so glad I stopped here. I'm trying to stay away from pork and beef (so why go to a bbq joint?) so I had the smoked chicken with white sauce, what a great choice. It was the first time I've had collared greens so I couldn't tell if they were good or not but I will rave about the baked potato salad it was so good. And the staff was super helpful

Very good all around. Better burnt ends than Kansas City! Outstanding ribs and pie.

Good pulled pork and loved those beans. The sweet tea was quite sweet and my son loved his barbecue hot dog.

I was amazed at how fast the line moved and although the seating is limited to a few tables inside and a few more under an awning in front of the restaurant we were able to find a seat even though we ordered our food for take out thinking we'd be eating in the park but we got lucky. You order at the counter and they give you a number placard and find you when your made to order food is ready. Being this was our first time here we were clueless of the protocol but the staff is ready to help with any questions you have. We ordered burgers and shared an order of crinkle fries and both of us got a self-serve fountain drink. This is definitely a local's favorite and boy did they pack this place at noon, only to be out done by their take out orders, this kitchen can put out lots of food so the wait time is very manageable. The burgers were fresh and well put together and delicious, we only realized you have to ask for pickles whether or not you order the burgers all the way after we placed our order so they brought out a small cup full and they definitely are a must. The crinkle fries were crispy and delicious and perfect with a few sprinkles of their signature "dust". The staff and food definitely exceeded our expectations and I'd eat here again just to try a few more of their offering - this is a wonderful small town locally owned business...

The servers were very personable and helpful, explaining everything and answering all our questions no matter how silly. All the meats were fantastic. I loved the pulled pork, but I tried the pulled chicken my son had and was blown away. It wasn't actually pulled, it was sliced, but so tasty and absolutely melt in your mouth. I'm picky about barbecue sauces but their Alabama white sauce that they had was delicious. We all had very similar dishes in different combinations and every single one of us was pleased as punch with everything. If living here or just passing through, I highly recommend The Firehouse as the place for great barbecue.

Joey was the shift manager (I hope I got his position correct). He gave us a tour of the restaurant and gave us a history of the area. Everyone in the restaurant was very polite and welcoming.
