The Tennessee toast was their version of Texas Toast and provided the perfect carb to soak up that tasty sauce. This is a family restaurant. They've been in business for decades and it was started, I believe the menu 'backstory' said by a college kid trying to earn money and pay for college: it's become a legend in these parts. We drive well over an hour to try it. We will return, for certain. We order a smoked turkey sandwich to go ( for lunch today!) and a brisket dinner. We can hardly wait to eat this incredibly delicious food, again. This restaurant is the perfect example of the Serendipity of Life. A young man, willing to work for what he envisioned ( a college degree) and who went on to think about and develop a perfect platform, where his earned success now adds value to the lives of his plus or minus 60 employees!
