I've always been a big fan of LaMars but the pricing there has kind of gone through the roof, and I'd rather spend my money locally than drive thru Krispy Kreme so my kids and I found ourselves here around 9am on a Saturday. I was a bit worried it would be busy as many donut spots are around 9am on a weekend, but it was fairly empty except for a few cyclists that had ended their am ride here. The kids and I decided to get a mixed dozen of "small" donuts which the gal working said was essentially anything with a hole. The price with a small tip was around $20 which I think is reasonable, at LaMars I think a dozen can easily put you back closer to $50 which is absolute lunacy. When I arrived at my friend's house she said this place is her husband's new favorite donut spot and I could see why. I ate a chocolate sprinkle cake donut my daughter took one bite out of and it was fresh, tasty, honestly just as good as LaMars. I'm not ready to go all in on a five star review, but I'll be back! Definitely above average and reasonably priced. If you're in the area give them a try!

They were swayed by the reviews, and my daughter's insistence that we go to a real donut shop, not just a coffeeshop that might have one or two. We ended up with some various sprinkly ones for the kids, a glazed, and several of the blueberry old-fashioned glazed that are always a favorite. They had great flavor, and were dense but not overly so (I say that as a compliment, the old-fashioned ones need to be a bit dense IMO.) Prices are good, and it sounds like a nice family-run spot as well. Donuts are a rare thing for us but fun when they happen, so we'll remember this spot down the road I'm sure.
