This ihop has sucked for years before I even start....My son asked for ihop so reluctantly that's where I took him. Waited like 6/7 minutes for a table. No one came to greet us in the ten minutes we sat and waited. We sat down at 8:00 am, orders taken at 830, the last of the food delivered at 930. Had to constantly go back to get coffee refills. Waitress never came to check on our food after she delivered it. By the time we left, the line waiting to be seated was almost out of the door, yet there still was space available. My order was not how I wanted it cooked, the hash whites were cold. I had to get up and find our waitress to get my decaf coffee. She grabbed a pot and poured me a cup and filled a carafe which I took back to my seat. It was stone cold! read more

OK today was a long morning trying to find breakfast but I think we hit it a third time is a charm ! I walked in to the beautiful smell of clean got seated to a table a booth. Ordered the poblano omelette and a great steak omelette bowl with French toast, well not your average French toast because they were large and in charge and beautiful and I put the strawberry syrup on them to top it off. I started to do the happy dance once they reach my mouth it was awesome yeah ha ha has got a come up out here in Belton. Our waitress Angelo was on the spot for everything drinks, coffee you name it sour cream she brought it out and made sure we were not lacking anything in our visit. Our food was excellent and our server/host was spectacular. I know that COVID and associated issues took a toll on many businesses and the lack of customers can be disheartening but our experience here was exemplary. Ignore some of the bad reviews where some people vent from their entitled spleen. This place is worth your time and consideration. You will not be sorry you went. Nobody paid me for this review and I have no affiliation with the business or anyone there. I just felt people deserve to know how good the place is. BTW, the strawberry crepes are to die for! Let's put it this way... There are to many kids working here, on their phones not wanting to work. If your working then you need to be working not sanding around talking to your friends about what you did over the weekend, you have family's here that would like to enjoy some fun family time and eat some food. We went to IHop in Belton, Mo tonight for dinner. I wanted to try the crepes. The last time I had crepes was when I was in Paris. I have to say...the crepes (berry) I ate at IHOP in Belton were OUTSTANDING, and MUCH better than the ones I had in Paris a few years ago. These were light, not too sweet, and the fruit (blueberries and strawberries) were perfect. I hope to go back and have them again before the special ends. THANK YOU IHOP. The service was so bad such a long wait over 45min with our food tasting so bad the sausage tasted terrible and my crepes gave me a stomach ache it tasted really awful and the bathroom was filthy the doors would not lock i had to hold it closed while i was peeing and it costed 50$ for all of that horrible food although the scrambled eggs tasted amazing i don't recommend going there but if you do you should get the scambled eggs. read more

We have always had problems with slow service at this IHOP in Belton, MO. But we received a coupon for FREE BREAKFAST so we thought we'd give it a try again. Once again, we walked in and there was NO ONE at the hostess desk. Two people were waiting for take out and one was waiting to pay their bill. We looked around and saw only one waitress. OK yes I know another chain, and what is nice about chain restaurants is consistency. Hubby and I went to IHOP to eat after church today. An incentive to check out the IHOP in Belton, which use to house a Country Kitchen a few years ago, is that they participate in Ray-Pec Educational Foundation's fund raising discount card. Always nice to get a "deal" when eating out, so that'a a plug for the cards kids sell for school, but I digress. The deal at IHOP was buy one entree and two drinks get a free entree. Since breakfast IS my favorite meal of the day, it wasn't hard to give IHOP a shot. We took advantage of their Double Cheese Scrambles combos. Hubby and I both got the spinach cheese scramble. There was a good amount of fresh, yes fresh, spinach in the eggs. The combo came with hashbrowns and we ordered bacon. The bacon was crisp and salty, and the buttermilk pancakes were good. In terms of restaurant condition, this store was cleaner than most IHOPs and our server was fantastic. We did not have to ask for refills on our Diet Cokes, she anticipated when they were running low and just brought refills. The space was also not overly crowded, in that some other IHOPs I've eaten at the tables are on top of each other. It was a nice setting to eat a relaxed meal and chat, it was also consistently busy. We were not rushed to get out after we ate. The franchise owner was at the cash register when we checked out and wanted to make sure everything was OK and pointed out the survey on the receipt for a free short stack. When I'm thinking about breakfast and need a pancake fix. I'm going back to THIS IHOP. read more

While I'm sure the food is great, the service is REALLY slow. My family waited 15 minutes after being seated, and they didn't even ask us about drinks. They walked past us SEVERAL TIMES and somehow didn't notice that we didn't have drinks, or even cups. I'm upset. read more

I DO NOT recommend eating at this IHop location to anyone. I had an issue with receiving only part of my order and when I asked the waitress about it the next thing I knew the cook was at my table yelling at me that he sent out the correct order and I could just not read a menu. I showed him what the menu said and he was adamant that what he sent out was correct, and not the menu. I was so extremy embarrassed as this went on for a few minutes and everyone on my side of the restaurant was looking at my table. The waitress was trying to fix things, and said the cook had yelled at her too when she told him about the issue. The manager never came by to see what was wrong, he just let the cook yell at me, my daughter and granddaughter. The franchise owner has never responded to my complaint. Do NOT go here ever!!! Absolutely hated this place. Have never been treated so rude and disrespectful in my life. We been driving for 5 hours and stop for a "quick" dinner. There were about 5 servers smoking outside the restaurant (should've know then but we are in a hurry). 20 min to get seated since we had to wait for them to get back in the restaurant. Then she sat us and after about 30 more minutes another server comes and ask if everything was ok my husband said we just want to order (I wanted to cash out and leave). We order and in about 30 more min our food was on the table. There was about three other customers, empty and I see why... IHOP restaurants are usually crowded. Solid 3. Omelets and pancakes are always exceptional. Other menu items are just so so. I have not been overly impressed with the non breakfast options in general because they are not consistent. I would have to say the same about the service sometimes the restaurant is understaffed which makes it hard for even the best waiter or waitress to do their job. So it wouldn't say it's the waiters fault it's the restaurants fault for not hiring enough people. read more

I love I hop but this one is not good. We have been waiting for 10 min for them to come and order our drinks. They have had other people come in and get seated then they got there drink orders in. No one has waited on us. Very upset. But on the good side, we had an awesome waitress! We all thought this other lady was our waitress and so did she. This is usually the best IHOP around, but this evening was not a good experience. My husband and I were at a booth, and a man with two kids at another. Other than that, the place was empty. Our waitress only had us to wait on. We ordered our drinks. The waitress brought them and said she'd give us a few minutes to decide. I noticed the gnat swimming in my orange juice after she walked away. I fished the gnat out and waited to ask for a fresh drink. She never came back. We could hear what sounded like a party going on in the kitchen. After waiting for a very long time, we finally decided to just leave. As we were walking out, I heard someone say customers were leaving without paying, so I went back. Several staff members came out, including our waitress who I had just seen sitting on the counter in the kitchen just talking instead of waiting on her one customer. I said we were leaving because we had waited forever and that my oj had a gnat in it so we weren't going to pay for it. I was offered another waitress, but I said no thanks. Two customers in the restaurant and we couldn't get waited on. Ridiculous. One other thing... the parking spaces were surrounded with ice and the sidewalk was covered. No salt or anything had been spread. I slipped getting out of our car. Traditionally, IHOP has a fairly large elderly clientele.
