We even tried a few other places when up in CC, but they just didn't cut it. The only real complaint I have about this last visit, is that they claim that their potato chips are house made. Maybe they are, but they look and taste just like Lay's. When we first tried Dave's, when it was Dave's Pine Cone Cafe a few decades ago, they had house made chips, they looked nothing like these factory looking chips, and they were D-Licious!! Seems to me that they stopped making them for a time. I could be wrong. But now they've got these factory chips. Very disappointed. It'd also be nice if they used beef tallow, or even avocado oil to fry in. js

My wife was unable to finish her fries. I had a hard time finishing up my tots. The atmosphere is laid-back And even though it's a bar no one smoking inside. There appears to be a game room attached with pool table and arcades, but I did not make it back that far. It's a nice friendly atmosphere will definitely come back.

Once you get your food then you pay and can seat yourself. They have Dino ribs as big as your head that fall right off the bone! And the burnt ends are amazing! So juicy, tender and flavorful. It can be a little pricy but the quality and amount makes it worth it. Ambiance was cozy and felt like home. You can tell this is a local favorite!

We came on a busy night and we had to wait for 20-30 minutes. During that time I hung up by the fire outside and met some great people. Seems like people come back here every year, cloudcroft is a destination where families meet up during the holidays. Not a great place if you're planning on having a couple beers and driving back to town, it's on a twisted mountain road. The workers are all local, they can definitely give some good advice on nearby activities like hiking and where to get a great view of the sunrise.

I don't really recommend the pizza; the Greek one tasted odd, had too much pesto, and the Margarita one had way too much cheese & burnt the basil. But my family liked the other two, the Corey & the sweet & salty pizza. My sister who lives in New Mexico made it seem like this was the hopping place to be, which explained why it was so busy for a small town. We brought some games to play but since we were taking up a table for others we didn't play very long. Just enough to finish the pizza. My sister definitely recommends this place!
