We are BBQ fans in general - I would probably choose BBQ over any other food, except sushi…read more We have been to a couple Mission BBQ's - the visit to the one on Bluemound was our first time there. Kids and hubby all ordered their faves and I tried a little of each. I love the turkey and brisket. I also enjoy the beans. Service is always pleasant. While we were eating, we were discussing taking a walk around target to work off our dinner. One of the employees heard us trying to figure out which was the closest Target and filled us in on which was not only the closest, but the nicest. Walls have lots of stuff to look at and read. My favorite sauces are KC Classic and Memphis Belle.

THEY ARE LYING ABOUT HOW THEY PREPARE THEIR FOOD…read more This place is pretending to be a barbecue restaurant. The food I received today was not cooked in a smoker. It didn't taste like it was barbecued; it had no smoke ring or bark. The restaurant doesn't even smell like there's any barbecuing happening on site. They're lying to anyone who purchases their food, thinking it is smoked. IT IS NOT SMOKED. I can't believe they're operating a restaurant like this. What makes it even worse is that they wrap themselves in the American flag and profess to have the highest regard for soldiers and first responders, but they serve food under the pretense that it's real barbecue when it's not. THEY'RE LYING ABOUT THE FOOD. MISSION IS NOT A BARBECUE RESTAURANT.

I haven't been to BJ's in a while, but this was easily the best visit I've ever had. Our waiter…read moreNate was fantastic and deserves a special shoutout. I tried their tavern pizza, and it was the best pizza I've had in a long time. It had a paper thin crust, was cooked perfectly, and was filling. My s'mores pizookie was great too, but in my opinion, it could've used less marshmallow.

Terrible for such a beautiful restaurant and bar is all I can say. After my first review I said…read morethat I would never go back but receiving a $25 gift I said I would give them a second chance with higher expectations. My server experience was better then my last visit because I actually got a server this time. I ordered the appetizer plate with 2 sliders that I asked for the American cheese up charge, mozzarella sticks, boneless wings and chips with spinach/artichoke dips which is way out of my norm for a change. First off the spinach and artichoke dip was blistering hot like it was microwaved or under the broiler way to long but was was good with a melted cheese topping. The rest of my food was room temperature with no heat degrees like it was pre cooked or just sat around. The American cheeses sliders had no American cheese liked I asked for and the up charge was removed from my bill. The sliders were just meat, shredded lettuce and pickles that you could top with ketchup and mustard, boring. The beef was noticeably dry but it had a nice beef flavor and if it wasn't overcooked and fresh the sliders had great potential. The mozzarella sticks were thin and room temperature with no hot cheese pull and if my first one actually had no mozzarella in it but unfortunately it was just an empty breading shell and I hoped the rest had cheese in them which they did. The Mariana sauce was good as far as dipping sauces go and if the mozzarella sticks were better the would be good. The boneless chicken wings is a never again option when bone in is on the menu because the were seasoned nicely and completely dry like the quick grab supermarket style. Overall the quality of the food doesn't match how nice the restaurant is and for a Tuesday at a 2 pm lunch with approximately 5 tables in service the food at room temperature or not cooked to order hot was very disappointing.
