Me and a friend dropped in on a Friday evening after a round of golf for some beer and wings. The service was slow, bit we attributed it to short staff. Got our first beer after 20 minutes of waiting because the floor manager saw nothing was happening for us. Shortly after we placed an order for 2 10 wing baskets, pretty simple order. We waited 20 minutes, floor manager came back because we were just sitting and we ordered another beer because food was nowhere to be seen. 15 minutes after that we get our second beer. 15 minutes after that our server asks if she took our order. Bottom line is I can't rate the food because after over an hour of waiting we never got our food. Worst service ever and not a huge crowd. I understand being short staffed, but this is incompetence. read more

Tables weren't even whipped down or floor cleaned. Not even busy on this Friday afternoon at 7:30PM. Management no where to be found as staff just walk pass by tables that need to be wiped down after customer leaves. Seeing customers walk by tables to get to a clean one. Restaurant should be clean and tables ready for next customers always and ready for rush hour. Slow I get it, but keep busy by cleaning and keeping lobby up and running. Employees coming out of the kitchen licking fingers and food in their mouths to talk to customers. Makes me think twice of coming here. I gave 3 stars because they are a chicken wing restaurant and their chicken and waffles, chicken sandwich, and chicken tenders were all very good. the 2 missing stars are because even though the crawfish were big the taste was terrible and it did not come with any sausage corn or potatoes like the display showed. After asking they explained that those items do not come with it even though it's part of their display regretfully I did not take a picture of the display. Came in today with my girlfriend around 7pm, not a busy night at the restaurant. We had our lil pup and decided to sit outside, I went inside and let the server/host know we will be sitting outside, he asked how many people and said he'd be right with us in a moment, I then headed to the patio area and waited. After 15 minutes of waiting no one came outside to give us menus, offer us waters or check in on us. We waited another 5 minutes and left. We just had the best experience at Big City Wings of any restaurant we've been to in the last year. The Astros playoff game was on so you can expect big crowds. Obviously they expected big crowds because they were on their game. We called to make sure there were tables available and Brad, who answered the phone, went and checked on table availability for us and made sure we were accommodated. First time to try Big City Wings. I asked what is their most popular dry rub wing recipe. I placed my order and was told it would be 15min till the wings were ready. Finally, I approached the desk and asked when my order would be done. Apparently, the wings had been done and were being kept warm in a heated oven. We ordered Lemon Pepper Dry Rub and Spicy Ranch Dry Rub. We received very bland wings with some sprinkled seasoning unevenly dispersed upon the food. Big City Wings can start by... (1) Have a system that alerts customers when their order is ready. (2) Work on wing recipes. Every wing in a batch should taste the same. I always order extra crispy all drums honey bbq and garlic Parmesan wings and they never disappoint. The cheese blocks are also tasty. The staff is always friendly and the service is fast. We went here last night and had a great meal! We ordered two appetizers. The fried Mac and cheese was amazing with a cornflake crust! The bacon wrapped chicken jalapeños were AMAZING!!!!! We ordered 20 boneless wings with 5 flavors. Let me tell you that the chicken was tender, cooked to perfection and flavored perfectly. The hot perfect. Hate to be the one to ruin the 5-star streak but tonight's dinner was far from it. From the lack of service to a very sad and disappointing michelada, I was truly dissatisfied with this place. Our service was quite subpar given the fact that our server didn't check up on us often. The one time she did check, and offered to bring my fiancé a long Island,she came back 20 minutes later empty handed claiming she forgot. We were finished eating & I'm over it at this point. As far as the food- the mushrooms lacked a bit of flavor but were cooked to perfection. Our wings were great except for 5 of the 15 wings we ordered. 5 were ordered "mild" which I expected to be a buffalo mild but instead came out plain in butter sauce. (Just an FYI) and our waffle fries were basically served on top of our wings instead of on the side. Never seen that before but ok. Definitely was not impressed on my first visit. The wings were cold and hard The staff was not attentive and seemed to gather and chat in the corners of the restaurant while we waited to be helped When I mentioned these facts to the manager he said they have a "redo" package because they care so much and are trying to repair the problems they had in the past. I gave him my name and thought I might return since I thought it might be an off day for them. When I did return for the redo I spoke with a different manager and asked about the redo package (it felt awkward to get a free meal) I told them I will sit at the bar. So I sat down ordered a beer and waited for my meal to arrive. I sat patiently but after a little more than an half hour I asket the bartender how much longer will it be. She walked over to where the others have been chatting and hung out for a while while I was waiting to order a second beer to (hopefully) have with my meal. When she came back she let me know that it has been ready for a while though I never said it was to go. Mistakingly thinking I wanted it to go is no problem but one would think they would let the customer know so they could at least have the order while it is still warm. The restaurant was empty and the staff was standing around chatting this whole time! I walked in feeling chariatble and tipped the bartender $12 for a $3 beer and honestly though she didnt tend to my empty glass she was nice enough to speak with. So for the manager that I spoke with on the first visit, The problems still exist. I still dont know how the food was though beacuse I was upset and told them to keep it when I walked out. I ordered the 5 wing basket with fries. The lunch special is such a good deal and the medium sauce is perfect--not too spicy. The atmosphere is positive, clean, and had a decent lunch rush.
