Well first I had them take my two and a half car garage,now it's just one car and made my dream kitchen. Their work is half. They only fix whats is damaged despite how ugly it looks. If you are going to fix something fix it all not half. They stalk your Insurance for more $$$ All they worry about is receiving the money from Insurance Companies which I will be calling my Insurance company to give them a heads up how they work and they shouldn't even manage with them. Contractor makes more damage with tool to make sure its noticeable. They don't care how their work looks and your are stuck with how the service is done. Raphael viquez that works for this company came over on oct 8 to check my roof out filled up paper work to give to my insurance company to see if they could pay them to fix my roof but never heard of him or his company . That's good I didn't hear from them Bc I had a bad feeling about this company and didn't want to go with them after I read all the bad reviews on home advisor and else where . So thank God they didn't show up owner or employee . Plus I don't have any leaks or anything inside my house . So basically waste of time and no trust in this company . Big City Construction has come through again for us. I don't always write reviews but these guys have gone above and beyond for us more than once so I wanted to give them a five star review. During the big storm August of 2020 -- that one with 100 MPH winds--part of our roof was majorly damaged. We called Big City and they came out within 24 hours! Several of our neighbors could not get responses from their roofing companies! Big City workers promptly put a tarp on our roof where the attic boards/roofing had blown off and our attic ceiling open to the sky!!! Then, a few days later they made all the repairs. Just last week, a bedroom door was damaged from one of our tenants moving in and Big City came to the rescue again. It wasn't a huge roofing job like they've done for us expertly in 2018 on our personal residence, but the owner had one of his guys swing by our rental property and fix the door the day after we reached out to them. Punctual, customer service oriented and friendly guys. We own rental property and Big City has remodeled two of our apartments in the past few years. The guys are professional, on time, trustworthy and the quality of their work was evident in the finished product. Not to mention they came in below budget on one of our projects. If you need expert construction or need a new or repaired roof, or for any of your construction needs, Big City is your go to company. They also work very well with insurance companies. My experience with Big City was quite positive. I found Josh Anton to be very professional and easy to work with. He is a friendly, likable person. He was very good at coordinating with the insurance company and was prompt and thorough in all his dealings with them and with me. The crews that did the work, which included putting on a new roof, installing new siding and making some challenging repairs to my old garage were competent, diligent, and effective. I am very satisfied with everything that was done. Now, whenever I look at my house, I thank God for his amazing grace upon me, and I thank Big City for doing a good job for us. What can I say about Big City Construction other than I am very pleased with all aspects of their home repair and contracting services. I remember well the wind and hailstorm damage that caused us to lean on insurance to repair our home and garage in Oak Forest. We had widespread wind and hail damage on our three roofs and aluminum siding. I was out of work at the time and had time to look for, and compare, the best repair contractors out there. I spent a lot of time doing so. I had contacted six contractors and narrowed the field to select Big City Construction of Chicago. Big City's record and their large city and suburb exposure, and experience was superior to the others. I liked their aggressive approach on insurance claims to aid and help the homeowner. I felt they had an edge over the competition with overall knowledge of both the insurance business and the construction options available to me. My representative, Josh Anton and his team, negotiated with the insurance company to finalize the scope of work and to minimize my costs due to deductibles and construction add-ons. Josh went beyond his time and duties to explain things and I ended up with a fair and respectable price. Big City Constructions workmanship can only be applauded. These were a group of professional and polite roofers, siding professionals, and an aluminum detailing crew that gave my house a new and improved look.
