Adequate Korean style fried chicken to fill basic comfort food cravings. Most chicken is offered in full or half portions so you can try out different flavors. The original golden crust chicken flavor was good, but could use more basic salt and pepper seasoning. The honey garlic chicken was good in the beginning, but started to have some weird artificial taste after a while. Some parts were doused in too much sauce and ended up soggy. The onion rings are my favorite kind (like the thin ones seen in cheap Chinese food buffets), but skip the weird honey mustard dip it comes with. Service was nice and attentive when needed. One of the first places in Guildford to introduce Korean Fried Chicken (and one of the best!). Been coming here for years, and it's still one of the best places for delicious chicken (and beer!). There have been some slight changes over the years, but everything is still as good since my first visit!. Dont sleep on the corn cheese dishes; they're just too darn good . The staff are also very friendly and accommodating, especially during Covid times. Yummy in my tummy! My friend and I ordered a cheese soonsal, fries, a bowl of rice, and a half order of the golden crust chicken with an Asahi beer. We definitely did not finish all of our food but had delicious leftovers the next day! The fries reminded me of costco fries and were delicious. The rice helped breakup the richness of the cheese soonsal and all the fried food. The original golden crust chicken in itself was very juicy and had the perfect fried chicken crust. Lastly, the Asahi beer was perfect to wash it all down. I'd say the amount we ordered would've been perfect for 3-4 people. However, we didn't mind having the leftovers. Service was slow when we came around dinner time on a Monday. Also, it does get a bit awkward when there's not a larger waiting area and people watch you eat at times. Other than that, loved it here! Menu selection offered and interesting and nice variety of chicken choices. We tried a number of half and mixed orders. All delicious. Nice mix of spicy and sweet dishes. Presentation of dishes was inviting. Couldn't wait to dig in. Get a few rice bowls. Works well with the chicken. Chicken was crispy, nicely done and not over cooked. Sauces and decoration all edible and delicious. The only detractions were the small bowl of coleslaw with thousand Island dressing that was brought to the table at the start. It was just enough for a bite each. Nothing special. Suggest something more colorful to match the bouquet of colours with the food. Pretty good! I got the cheese soonsal, and the portion is pretty huge with lots of chicken for$25! I appreciate that it was 95% chicken and 5% rice cakes, really got my money's worth :) one thing I would mention though, is that the staff aren't the friendliest... and the pickled radish is extra! This restaurant serves some amazing fried chicken. This was solid comfort food after a long day and this place opens late until midnight. We ordered garlic chicken, BBQ chicken and rice. A complimentary side of coleslaw and pickled radish was provided. Cold water was served promptly. Food arrived with within 10 minutes. Chicken was perfectly fried. BBQ chicken tasted as it should. However, the garlic chicken was not spicy as I was expecting for a two spicy pepper symbols on the menu. I was also looking forward to slices of fried garlic, but they were mixed in the batter. Still a good dish, but I was wanting a spicier kick. Need to order the volcano flavour next time. Service was okay from the servers. The restaurant was busy so we had to flag the servers for attention to order food and get the bill. The best part was when myself and my date were looking around for a server, this older man shows up and asked what we wanted. We said coke. He gets us a can of coke and told us it was free!! How can I take a full star off for service? I would rate this a 4.5 star experience for the food and free can of coke. The restaurant is a bit small and seats are limited. You can expect waiting for a table for roughly 30 minutes during the dinner rush, so plan ahead accordingly. The restaurant is well kept and has a warm ambiance. The hours are a but weird, open 5 to midnight on most days. The service is decent, not bad but not amazing. They give you the bare minimum of effort and only go beyond when you ask them, if you have an empty cup of water, you have to speak up to grab their attention. The food is delicious and there's lots of flavors to choose from for the chicken. Their most popular dishes are the cheese soonsal and corn cheese. The portions are large which reflects their prices (roughly $18 per plate of chicken), so you can share a plate of chicken between 2 to 3 people. You can either have the chicken as a meal or have it as a snack while drinking as they do serve alcohol there. She obviously doesn't know how to deal with guests Our server was Asian, black hair worked on Tuesday, may 2nd/ 2017 from 5pm I work in hospitality. These people have no training in guest services. The food is good, but it's not worth the shitty experience. I couldn't eat because I was so uncomfortable sitting in a smaller place. In what restaurant do you go to and get refused to sit in a booth. Our server ignored us the whole time and took a long time take an order. My girlfriend had to go up to her to order our food. Some of the best fried chicken I've ever had! Food came out hot and fresh. The portions are huge, my boyfriend and I split an order of the half & half (half sweet and spicy chicken and half plain fried chicken) and it was enough for two meals for the both of us. The dishes are served with cabbage, you can get steamed rice with it but it's an extra dollar. I've seen people complain about the service and I totally get why. It's not your typical western restaurant; the meal is supposed to be like a whole event so service does seen really slow and you have to go up to the counter to pay when you're done. You have to flag down a server, they don't come check on you every couple minutes. But if you ask for something, they're very quick to bring it to you. The food took a while to come out but we went with 5 other people, so it was a lot of food for our table. I think next time we'll order take out, but we'll definitely be back. read more

Hands down my favourite fried chicken place. I crave this place even though I live so far away now. Anyways my favourite flavour is the black yummy. It's a soy and garlic based flavour. The chicken always comes out hot and crunchy. I love that the chicken is boneless. The salad and pickled radish pair perfectly with the chicken but I always order a side of white rice as well. I liked this place before, but I have to agree with other reviews when they say that of late, the service hasn't been all that great. The place itself is quite small, and waiting for a seat takes a really long time. One thing that made me upset is their waiting list--they leave it out front for you to write your name and come by occasionally to check who's next. My sister and I came with her boyfriend once and when she wrote her name, it was fairly high on the list, then someone who came after us got seated before us and we found out they wrote their name above hers! Hopefully they change this system soon. As for food, I'd have to say it's definitely hyped. Cheese soonsal is a really popular dish, but when you get down to it, its spicy chicken with a LOT of cheese. I don't mind it too much since the chicken is boneless and easy to eat, but it's not all that amazing either. Overall it's not a terrible place to go to when you're hungry and craving chicken. Once we got seated they never gave us their menu, completely forgot about us. I had to walk up and ask for one. Two other costumer left because they've been waiting for over 40 minutes and still no one was serving them. Another group left. Costumers has to constantly remind the servers that they needed menus, water etc. It was horrible. I had to get up to the front to order because they just kept walking past us. Half orders of garlic chicken, honey garlic, and sweet dream chicken, which has a special mildly spicy sauce. We got rice and they provide a light cabbage salad with a thousand islands type sauce. Overall, the chicken was good. Essentially they just put different sauces on it. For me, it is different but not somewhere I would go on a regular basis. This is my favorite fried chicken place!!! It is so good!!!!!! I've tried the Sweet Spicy Chicken, Golden Crust, Green Mountain, and Corn Chicken. They're all really good, but the Corn Chicken is my absolute favorite. If you like the Corn Cheese appetizer, you will love Corn Chicken because it is basically Corn Cheese on fried chicken!!!! The portions are very generous so you can order two larges for three people and have plenty to take home. The restaurant isn't very big so you have to wait during peak hours. Also, the food can come out a bit slowly, but it's well worth the wait. The service is good - the waitresses there are very nice and prompt. I'm so glad to have discovered Big Chicken Town!! So lets get right into this.... The quality of chicken and the method of cooking the chicken is disgusting. Some of the chicken pieces were so chewy I spat them out and upon looking and in some pieces all you saw was "pink' uncooked chicken. Both my girlfriend and myself just ate here and felt nauseous 5 minutes after leaving. As I am writing this review I still feel sick and she was in the washroom puking shortly after arriving home. This is the second time I went to this place... The first time I felt nauseous as well. However, I gave them the benefit of the doubt as I was the only person feeling it that day. The costs seem fair considering the portion sizes they give and compared to western styled restaurants which cost double. However, they did charge $3 for a small portion of sauce... $3? it should be free! Lastly, the service was poor... After giving you the food items they will not return to your table to ask if the meal was okay or to offer to get you another drink. We had to walk up to the front desk and ask twice to two different servers. Upon paying for the food, the server appeared to be disappointed and surprised when there was no tip...Bad food + Bad Service = No Tip It makes perfect sense why the place is full of teenagers as their expectations and wallet is smaller (no offense, I was there once too!). read more
