The restaurant is clean and the staff is nice. There's a lot of seating for larger groups and a good lemonade and soft drink selection. I am usually not a negative reviewer so I had to start with the good but I disliked the chicken sandwiches. They were not big as the name of the restaurant indicates; the chicken was thin and dry. I likely won't be back, but give it a try for yourself and decide. There is always a long line and the rest of the reviews on here aren't bad so I could have caught them on a bad day. read more

Grand opening time and waited in a 30 min line. We wanted to try the chicken sandwiches. We had two different types of chicken sandwiches, fries, coleslaw, shake. The chicken sandwiches were ok, the fries with cheese was great, and the Oreo shake was great. The coleslaw was not good by itself, but when put on the sandwich, it was very good. My physical therapist told me about this place. Yesterday we stopped in. The restaurant is cute Ave has a nice vibe. We ordered a reg chicken sandwich combo with a double chocolate shake. We also ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich. If you are going to charge $8.49 and $9.49 for sandwiches without sides, they better be good. The chicken wasn't cooked fresh. The piece of meat looked nothing like the picture. The picture is off a thick piece of chicken, we got what looked like it had been beat with a meat tenderizer. The chicken was dry and hard. Don't know if it has been recooked or just sat under the heat lamp. The sauce on the original was good. The Nashville was less impressive. The fries were good . The Mac n cheese was average, $4.49 for a small cup is ridiculous. We spent almost $30 for 2 sandwiches., shake. Fry. And Mac and cheese. Not worth the money. read more

Now the thing that REALLY sold me at the end was there ice cream! I don't know how they get their soft serve so thick and sweet, but I've been thinking about it since we ate there 2 days ago. Good dining experience here. Food was good, and quick. I tried the MDE sandwich and sweet potato waffle fries. They have four sauce options plus ketchup, all are good! Strawberry lemonade is good as well as the seasonal sweet tea! For the MDE (8.49), sweet potato fries (4.29), and big strawberry lemonade (2.89), it was $17.44 total. The chicken sandwich was really good, but very small for what you are paying for it. I especially liked the sauce.

While Shaq himself is quite entertaining, I can't say much about his restaurant. $37 for 2 chicken sandwiches, fries and 2 drinks. The sandwiches weee good, I would pass on the Shaq sauce and go with BBQ, but that is your decision. The fries were hot for the first 3 minutes then rapidly cool down. There is no salt or pepper on the table and the counter crew informed us they don't have salt packets, the ice machine was also empty. This is why I am not a fan of celebrity restaurants, it's about the person not what they are serving you. 2 out of 5 stars it has a beat, but you can't dance to it. I hate to leave this I really do. I have been waiting for this to open for so long and I was so excited and it was not a short wait in line with only one cashier open and a line out the door so I thought the food must be pretty good, and I was looking at peoples food as I was standing in line and I thought man that chicken coating makes the chicken look really dry and nobody was eating it, but I thought maybe that was just a one off and mine would look better and fresher. I thought wrong the chicken coating was flavorless to say the least and I'm being generous. It was very hard to eat, and I started gagging as I was eating and I rarely do that unless something is absolutely horrible. it's dark meat chicken inside which I really don't like Caesar salad was tiny for about $11 and was pretty much wilted and flavorless, and overall I was extremely disappointed for the price paid for the quality received. The staff has to be some of the most miserable people I've ever seen at any restaurant I did not say a single worker, smiling once or anybody saying thank you to a single customer and that's on any end of the process from the cashier to getting the food I understand they're working very hard and it's a relatively new location I get that I do but at least smile and say thank you to your customers, especially for the cost of the food we've made a choice to go out there at least pretend like you like your job. Big Chicken recently opened in the Rosemont area and since it opened a couple of weeks ago, I've been trying to get my hands on a chicken sandwich but it's always crowded. Recently, I was able to try the Big Shaq grilled chicken sandwich and it was delicious! The sandwich had the right amount of heat from the jalapenos. And I loved that they offered a grilled option for all their chicken options. The only thing is that it took close to 25 mins to get my order. Again, they just opened and they are continuously busy so it was expected. I will definitely be back to try another chicken sandwich. read more

Wow! The chicken strips are very fresh! Also the chicken strips are big & not tiny pieces. Not too spicy which is what I like. Very fresh unlike many popular chicken places that taste like it's sitting there for a couple of days. Just enough seasoning. The variety of sauces are divine. The homemade Big cookie is such a treat. It tastes like homemade cookies you would bake at home. Such a cute down to earth place to eat inside. Plenty of parking & very friendly service. Tried it for the first time with my husband today, 08/05/2023. My husband got the plain "Aristotle chicken sandwich ". The bread was soft but heavy enough to hold the chicken patty, cheese and sauce together. The chicken was bigger and flavorful than the average chicken patty. I got the 3 pcs chicken finger and the sweet potato waffle fries The chicken was larger than the regular chicken fingers. It is lightly breaded, soft and tender. (Which I really love). There were several dipping sauce. I mixed the Carolina's bbq sauce with the Shaq sauce. In summary, Big Chicken is worth the trip. Bigger portions, bigger flavor but you'll need a bigger wallet too. I actually like this place a lot and wasn't expecting it. The sandwiches are a little bit better than Popeyes and about as good as Chick-fil-A. The sandwich was crunchy, juicy but not greasy or a gut bomb. The sandwiches are normal size so not sure why it's called "big" chicken....I guess for the laughs. Prices are twice as expensive as Chick-fil-A or Popeyes which might irate some. I food the sandwich worth it though. You could tell it was a quality meat and the food was made to order not sitting around at all. I had Mac and cheese as my side and found it a little bland but you could tell it had quality cheese and the noodles were al dente. Bbq solved the blandness and made it great. So the first time we went there the chicken sandwich was great, big chicken breast, great flavor, uncle Jerome's sandwich was awesome. Now you order the same sandwich and the flavor is still there but the chicken breast is paper thin for the same price. You pay 950 for a sandwich that you can get a thicker chicken sandwich at McDonald's for less than half the price. Been there 3 times since the first thin sandwich just to see if it was just a fluke but no same thin sandwich. Very disappointing. And they got rid of the sweet potato waffle fries, which were the best. Don't go there. You want a good chicken sandwich I would suggest Fry The Coop.
