The service is getting poor. They always leaving something off my order. You repeat it back and still leave items out of the order.

As another fellow yelper stated, it's a greasy spoon kind of place. Everyone knows everyone and if…read moreyou're new, they all know it. My review is of breakfast. This area is a hard sell when it comes to restaurants, there are some town staples here, but they really aren't all that great. If you grew up eating it or what was being cooked at home was bad, then most of the places here wouldn't be all that bad to you...if those two aren't factors, then everything falls flat. Biscuits aren't scratch made. They aren't too bad though, little on the dry side..but edible. Plus side-They do use real eggs..so I will give them that..their competitors down the way certainly don't. The omelets are a little light on the egg, the ham inside is lunch meat ham and the veggies are small diced. The grits were well prepared in terms of done-ness but they don't season their grits either-but they do butter them after plating...so I'll give them some grace. I get there are two camps of grit people...salt and pepper vs. butter and sugar......but come on SALT makes things taste better, at the very least they should have salt and be made with some cream-IMO. Sausage is decent quality food service and the ladies on the griddle didn't overcook them. Hash browns are copy and paste the sausage. Overall this place is better than other places around here, it certainly lacks in the what it could be department. On the fence about coming back.

Only one waitress and they Don't take orders in the order of arrival. They get to you when they get to you. No rhyme or reason to getting to your table. First seated, last to have order taken as we were seated on the other side of the restaurant. It's a great hometown place and I love to support mom and pop business. After coming each month for 6 mths and nothing has improved we will be looking for somewhere else to eat. One waitress on a Saturday morning , can't keep up.

When I search reviews on a business before going, I don't just accept them at face value, but rather, read them and determine if the reviewers are just entitled brats. lol Now that being said: here we go... ha ha This place was the worst experience I can recall with a business in nearly 50 years of life. It was very cold outside, and looking at the online pics looked like it was open-air seating only. So I called them to ensure there was also indoor seating at this cool looking bar. It was 8pm. The man reassured us there were indoor seating options. He then asked "are ya'll coming tonight?" I replied that we were. He then said "how long?" I then asked what time they closed. He replied at 10pm. A little perplexed, I let him know we were on the way. Red flag #1. I told my husband I didn't want to feel rushed out the door if they were trying to close early and didn't really get the vibe they wanted our business. He suggested we just give them a try anyway. When we pulled up, we noticed maybe 3 cars in the parking lot of this very big property. Red flag #2. As we entered the hotel, the gentleman asked us if we called about the bar. We said yes and he directed us to the entrance doors. The entrance was essentially the exit... to the outdoors. HAHA It was approx 40 degrees outside. As my husband and I looked a little perplexed, a female approached where we were standing, never even looked at us or acknowledged us in ANY way and said to the gentleman, "WHAT DO THEY WANT?" He informed her we were there for the bar. We asked where the indoor seating was. Y'ALL... this man took us back in the hotel lobby and pointed at the lobby area. You want us to eat a late dinner and have drinks at this cool looking bar, but in actuality we sit where patrons eat their continental breakfast and are served by someone who has all but said "why are you here?" What?? So... my husband and I said no thank you and went to Cowboy Town which is a very short drive away. Please go there instead. Great food and drinks with a super cool small town vibe, live music, and barrel racing most weekends. Maybe when the weather is warm and the pool is open, The View would be a cool establishment. But it needs to be seasonal only and absolutely closed the remainder of the year. Bless it. I do believe the reviews you see are mostly BS. Please pay very close attention to the details of them.

There were a total of 3 tables with more than 6 people for one server! However, he was the highlight of our dining experience. The server was thoughtful, attentive, accommodating and I could tell he was trying so incredibly hard to ensure all of his tables were well taken care of. But, he's one person! We started with the fried green tomatoes. They were alright, but not Maw Maws. And truthfully, something felt off after eating them. Beers were good and cold! Great drink menu. And that's kinda where it all stopped for us. Two people in our group got salads and were pleased. Two people ordered steak and fries and were satisfied. However, the rest was just not good. The wrap with pimento cheese and chicken was not good-made someone nauseated trying to eat it. Another person in our group felt sick eating the BLT sandwich (I think it was that with a fried green tomato on it). Either way the people who ate the fried green tomatoes all felt sick (appetizer and the sandwich that had it). Something was just off. The kids enjoyed the milkshakes, that was a bonus. All in all, for a $150+ meal it left little to be desired. I would not return. However, the server was really great. He was the highlight!

Porto Di Venezia did NOT disappoint! We opted to go for a late lunch/early dinner. We were immediately greeted when we walked in. They weren't busy at all, which is what I was hoping for. They had soft music in the background and since it wasn't busy, we could hear each other and carry on a conversation! We were seated quickly and our waiter came over to take our drink order and ask if we had any questions. We opted to order from the lunch menu. It's great option, especially if you eat smaller portions and/or on a budget. The portions are perfect and it includes a soup or salad. I ordered the Lasagna Bolognese with the Sicilian Chicken soup. My husband ordered the Penne Bolognese (with sausage) with the Italian salad. Everything was SO delicious. We ordered the Limoncello cake to go. I have been craving a piece of this cake for so long, it was so satisfying to eat Definitely recommend coming here. Afterwards, you can walk it off in the cute downtown area!
