We also had 2 other rooms booked in our party as well. Honey Bear is super close walking distance to get to the Village! There's nothing like fresh air, beautiful views when we step outside of our room, and close proximity to the essentials. Our loft lodge was spacious for the 5 of us. One bathroom- and plenty of toilet paper. LOL. Mini fridge/ coffee pot/ and microwave are inside the room. Wish I paid more attention to the microwave inside the room! There's an ice machine available inside the lobby. But remember, access to it is only during lobby hours of operation. We had some time to burn before the check in time- and before our motorcycle ride up the mountain- we did have lunch nearby. With that being said- after lunch, we still had some time to burn. Had no idea about the picnic area provided by the lodge! (This is what happens when I don't look at the property online). But, tons of picnic tables with shade umbrellas and not to mention the amount of abundant shade provided by the trees. I loved this property so much, I booked an overnighter for hubby & I.

An open window works well, if hotel guests in the barbecue area are quiet and you do not have allergies. The housekeeper had not removed the previous guest's food from the fridge or emptied the trash can on the walkway outside the room. There were maintenance issues; management addressed them promptly so no need to repeat them here. Management stated that they were short-staffed.

They care about the guest experience as much as I do, and they're insanely responsive. I'm on the message threads with guests, so I see how they handle things in real time. Professional, calm, patient, and never reactive, even when guests are being... let's just say "creative." One thing they said early on when we onboarded really stuck with me. They told me they intentionally say "our home" when talking to guests because they want guests to feel like they're staying with people who are personally invested in their experience, not some faceless management company. And honestly, it works. You can see it in the reviews. Guests constantly mention Natalie by name because they remember her. That says a lot. People don't remember automated customer service. They remember when someone genuinely takes care of them, and she really does. They've also helped me navigate permitting, operational stuff, and all the random homeowner stress that comes with having a rental in Arrowhead. Every time I call, they answer. Every question gets handled. I trust them completely, which is not a sentence I say lightly. And yes, I initially had the same thought everyone has: "Do I really want to pay a management fee?" After working with them, absolutely yes. Worth every penny. The biggest thing they gave me was peace of mind. I don't spend my life thinking about the house anymore. They also market properties on their own website, which brings in bookings we wouldn't have gotten otherwise. I basically see those as bonus bookings. Took us approximately 4 1/2 hours with traffic. ***if this is your first time driving from Vegas to Big Bear, please note that you are literally driving up the mountain to get there. The road is crazy windy, so keep that in mind if you go when there's inclement weather. A quick google search led us to Big Bear Manor Jacuzzi Cabins. Very reasonably priced, and very close to Village Dr (it's where all the shopping and restaurants are). Upon check-in, we were warmly greeted with lots of tips on places to eat, and things to do. We were given cabin #12 (my favorite number) and it was perfection!! There is a covered car port next to the cottage. As you walk up to the door, there's a covered patio with a little table and chairs. When you walk in, there's a queen bed to your left with nightstands and lamps on top. To the right, there's a huge jacuzzi, working fire place (not gas, a "real" fireplace) and a tv mounted to the wall that swivels to the left and right. A little kitchenette with basic kitchen utensils, mini fridge, sink, microwave, and toaster oven. Bathroom with shower in the back. Very cozy living space!! We lucked out because it snowed a couple of the days we were there. A rarity to see when you live in Las Vegas. We took full advantage, and had a fire going 24/7!!! We can't wait to go back both with and without our kids. The fireplace lit up with just the two of us was such a romantic getaway. We also can't wait to share big bear with our children because they too are going to go crazy over being in the woods and skiing or swimming depending on what time of year we come back. We had 2 pillows for 2 beds (extras weren't available), but what looked like a handyman did show up with extra bedsheets that were rolled up in a bowl and held against his dirty clothes. The overhead light was broken, the floors were absolutely filthy, the windows were off track and couldn't stay open or lock. The hot tub, which was the main reason we rented this cabin, is cracked and peeling and was dirty on arrival. I bought cleaning supplies before I realised that the hot tub was completely unusable. When water hit the basin it threw little pieces of peeling of paint into the water. The kitchen was an absolute disaster. It was listed as a usable kitchen with lots of amenities. Upon arrival we found, 2 plates, 1 saucer, no bowls, 2 glasses (that didn't match) no wine glasses. We had to ask for wine glasses and when they arrived it was 1 wine glass, 1 champagne glass both very dirty. All of the cutlery was mismatched, dirty, and not a complete set. Dirty pots and pans were in a cabinet. There were no trash bags, a broken paper towel holder, no supplies to wash or dry dishes. However, there was a sign saying if you left dirty dishes behind they would charge you. There were also no kitchen towels or pot holders. In the bathroom, we found a broken toilet paper holder, broken bathroom mirror , 1/4 roll of toilet paper, no shampoo, conditioner, or soap. There were only three towels so we had to ask for extra towels. We were given towels with large holes that smelled. There was no bathmat, a torn shower curtain with no shower curtain liner. The hairdryer dryer was missing from the wall and when we asked for one an hour later one showed up brand new in the box obviously had just been purchased at the store. The grounds were filthy as well. Trash was everywhere as well as broken appliances stored behind and underneath other cabins. Someone lives at the facility and let their small child scream and yell even pass the quiet hours. We contacted the manager multiple times and when we gave a list of complaints, they didn't respond until before our checkout reminding us to be out on time so they're cleaning crew could access for the next person. We asked for a partial refund due to the fact the amenities listed were not there so we had to go out and purchase them, as well as the fact that we could not use the hot tub and that is the main reason we rented the place. We were told they don't trade refunds for good reviews.

The good news is that the room cools off as soon as the sun moves behind the cabin. The studio suite I was in was pretty well equipped. Keep in mind they ask you to not rely on housekeeping to take care of any messes you might make while you are there. Sometimes when you go on vacation you sometimes want to leave the chores at home but this lodge asks that you haul out your trash and respectfully clean all the dishes used for coffee, etc. I was fine with that but just something you should be aware of when about to check out. Also read the literature they give you at check in thoroughly . I didn't realize I needed to hang a parking sign on my parked car until I read the brochure at 5am the next day but lucky for me my car was still there. Also reading the literature in the envelope they mentioned check out was at 11 but the introductory email I was sent said 10, so there was that indecision as to how late I should sleep in to but I just decided to check out at 7 instead and save any headache and also get a jump on the crowds at Grizzly Manor Diner. Great place for families tho, lots of space to run around outside, bikes to ride around, campfires to sit around, and bring your swimming trunks too. Taking a dip in their pool is the instant solution to the air conditioning dilemma besides taking a cold shower. I'd give Noon Lodge 4.5 stars w the opportunity for 5 if they had some AC, but like I said, check the temps ahead of time and probably stay here if it doesn't get above 80 the days you come.

Then upstairs, a loft with a twin over full bunk bed, then another bathroom with shower and a large bedroom with queen bed and a balcony overlooking the lake. There was a nice size pool with loungers, a few fire pits with chairs around, picnic tables, cute lighting, soft music. Games here and there like cornhole. Towels provided at the pool. Canoes that you can use. Just make sure to sign the waiver. We used the canoes everyday. No extra cost. Jesus was so helpful! Texted him a couple of times and immediately was there to help (like get the stuff for the canoe and turn on the fire pit, not any problems.) yeah the place is a little older but All of big bear is. The tub would fill up a minute in from turning on the water. Shower curtains had holes in them AND sometimes the water wouldn't come out ( maybe from everyone taking a shower at all once ?) idk but they do like to save money.. during the day all lights are off in the main hang out area, it's sooo dark we had to use the flashlight on our phones just to get by. They charge extra for fresh towels. No room service. The whole place was unkept and had a creepy vibe to it. Would not recommend.
