    a sandwich wrapped in plastic
    Jem V.

Went for lunch today. Waited FOREVER for my lunch. Mellissa was exceptionally grumpy and impersonal; not to mention slow. She couldn't find the button for "add onion" so I didn't get the onion I asked for. She didn't ask for help, nor did she tell me she couldn't give me what I wanted. Also, Seems this site is not laid out for efficiency. Toasting of bagels takes place in the front and then curried to the kitchen...? Really? Why not have two toasters. Also, bagels are sliced by hand. Really? Why not have an auto sliver. I still haven't gotten my order and am afraid I got a garlic bagel instead of the onion I ordered due to it getting stuck/burnt in the toaster (because other bagels were being carried to the kitchen and person wasn't able to address it quickly) So there were no more onion bagels and the girl just grabbed a garlic bagel and didn't address it with me...?? Really? This is how you do business? Omg...so I just got my sandwich and it has TWO BOTTOMS not onion, not garlic...plain a@@ bagel...or are they? Mystery bagel bottoms!!! Awesome....smh! And no onions. So I didn't get my onion bagel, nor any onions.

    Burnt bagel

I stopped in to get a bagel to go on my way home. Second in line. I bet it was at least 10 minutes or more to get my bagel. Took it home and opened bag and it was burnt. No one even asked me if I wanted it toasted. I had to cut off the burnt part. It still didn't taste very good. Hard. Both halves were burnt. Very disappointed.

Tomato basil top with a plain bottom???? No cheese.

Normally, I love Big Apple Bagels. But, today, I received the terrible service! The person running the register was just plain nasty to us. She was all over the place and it wasn't even that busy. She didn't smile, and she sounded angry, but only to us. We waited a while for our food, but not a ridiculous amount of time. Then we get our food. My fiancé got a tomato basil bagel and I got plain. As seen in the picture, I had his top, and he had my top. I also ordered cheese on it and there wasn't any. We brought it back up to the counter and the same lady that we ordered with and we explained our situation. She just sighed, said okay in a sour tone and walked away rolling her eyes. She brought it to our table, we said thank you, and she just went, "yeah..." terrible service. Terrible attitude. Terrible experience. Do better.

Very limited selection and everything seemed to be "extra" $1 extra to cut the bagels, extra cost for "premium" bagels.

Best bagels in Holland! The Albuquerque sandwich is my favorite. The seasonal bagel are always fantastic as well.

Nice sandwich on bagels made on site. Magazines and current reading material makes lingering an option.

We did come on a Sunday for lunch so I'm sure their high demand time. Then when we got our order it was missing one of the sandwiches, so that took another 7 minutes to get. I also had to check on my order as I saw others getting theirs before ours. Bathrooms ran out of soap and paper towels. The process for getting your food was a bit confusing as there wasn't any order numbers so you couldn't tell how many other orders were in front of yours. Would only come back if I had plenty of time to wait for food.

The egg salad sandwich was the best sandwich I ever had, and I say this because of the Ciabatta…read more bread and the garlic aïoli, which added such a heavenly combo and taste and made my meal so worthwhile. I also ordered two coconut macaroons, which weren't too sweet and hit the spot. This place is extremely crowded and busy so make sure you plan at least 30 minutes ahead. Wait time is long and I wouldn't recommend if you're too hungry. It was definitely very very hot day so the place was pretty stuffy, but I don't blame the deli itself, but fair warning. It's quite busy as the chef is award winning when I looked up her name online.

Service is obviously fast and know what you want bc the servers are not going to spend much time in your table. I get it, I used to go to these establishments in South Haven all the time. But never received service like today. We get there there is a table available but they don't seat us there they ask if we're ok sharing the back long table. Sure I don't care. What got me annoyed was when they asked us to move to accommodate a 20 top. Who comes with a group of 20 at 530 expecting to be seated. I understand the motive behind asking us to move, but thought that was really rude. I asked for my bill. No comps. Will I go back no absolutely not. The location is behind the boat storage garage and is almost like a maze to get too. I have tried replacing South Haven as my beach town but Holland will not win, nor will LoLos.

Poor management and what turned into unfriendly vibes. $$$/$$$$ Monday Margarita Special - $5 regular or $8 premium ; add strawberry for $3.00. It was pretty empty outside on a Monday, especially Happy Hour. Happy Hour consisted of a $ amount off on appetizers and margaritas. We got the beef nachos, tempura shrimp, and salad. The 5 regular margaritas total and the food totaled to be $81 between 4 people. Regular Margarita: 9/10 - perfect mix, served in a 12oz plastic cup. Felt like the cup was filled halfway with ice before liquids were poured. I had over a quarter of a cup of icecubes left after 40 minutes of dining. Beef nachos: 8/10 - $17 - feel like there was one ingredient missing. There was queso, pico de gallo, lettuce, peppers, jalapeño and got the protein choice of beef. (Protein choices - beef, chicken or pork) Tempura Shrimp: 7/10 - $22 - Tasted like a japanese hibachi restaurant. The flavors took me home, especially with the picked diced cucumber. I loved the details and plating. There were 5 shrimp on my plate, totaling $4.40 per shrimp. Great flavors and pretty big, just pricey imo for an appetizer. Salad: 9/10 - $15 - the bowl was FILLED. No room to mix well without another plate. Croutons were unfortunately soggy. Dressing was delicious! Best caesar salad I have had in a while. Serving wasn't the greatest. Our waiter was super helpful when we asked the difference between the regular and premium margaritas. We were asked if we needed anything else after our food was served, but not anytime after that. For it barely being busy, I would have appreciated being checked on at least once even if we didn't need anything. We were waiting for her to come over because we were done and waiting for the check. It looked like mainly teen servers running the show with the manager present. (Who I think is?) The manager was sitting with a guest with two dogs. The golden retreiver came over to our table a few times, no bother, just smiles. The other dog was chilling on a chair taking in the paparazzi. When we were finished paying, we walk past the gentleman with the two dogs. I was petting the golden, and my mother was too. There was little conversation exchanged between the gentleman and my mother. After we walk away, my mother looks...confused. She informs me the gentleman said to her "I know you Asians love to gamble." Like. What? We were 2-3 tables away from him, not talking about gambling once.

There was ample parking when I went after work around 5:30 and one other group there eating already and saying how much they enjoyed their food which got me excited. I walked up to the truck and the gentleman behind the counter gave me some pointers and said what he recommended. I ordered the Bird Mac with tots. This burger has shredded pickles, caramelized onion, thousand island dressing, and American cheese. Very much a classic and I thought that would be a good place to start. The flavor was delicious and the tots went really well with this burger. I asked for garlic aioli for the dipping sauce. I think next time I'd love to try the Mac Daddy because Mac and cheese on a burger is very intriguing! Would recommend this spot because the food was good and the service was incredible! Thankfully it was a nice day and I could eat this on the back patio but you could also get your food to-go as well:)
