We stopped in for an easy breakfast on our way out of town and this place has now been added to our "must do" list when we're on that side of the state. Love the aesthetic of this place, it's the perfect amount of funky and fun. The food is incredible and portions are great - get the banana bread for the table! Make it fancy!

Biscuits and gravy and a smash burger style with sausage

They opened a few days ago, but WOW the food did not disappoint! I can't wait to go back again this week!

We enjoyed our meal here. The loaded banana bread was pretty decadent, but we both agreed that the bacon wouldn't have been necessary (and I'm a huge bacon fan, so that's saying something). We split the Benny and the sausage patty sandwich (can't remember the name of it). Both were good. A solid breakfast - a little pricier than I would have expected for most items, but in a resort-y town and with local ingredients, it wasn't out of line.

Adorable, cheery place! Very friendly with little ones, and the food was delicious! Not your basic biscuits and gravy or plain toast. Gravy was awesome, and blackberry (?) jam was house made...so good!

Banana Bread (make it bougie)

This is the cutest little breakfast spot in Douglas! The decor inside is super fun and whimsical. There are several items on the menu that you can "make bougie," where they basically add extra fun toppings. I got the banana bread and opted for the bougie version which added crunchy peanut butter, bacon, and toasted marshmallows. While it was delicious this is definitely something you should get as a started for the whole table to share. The potato's as a side were delicious and perfectly crisp. The service was fast and friendly!

I pick random places I've never been and this was the winner today. I stopped by, ample street parking, nice clean place inside, very friendly staff. They told me of the special so I decided that's the way to go, it was a double smash chorizo burger with a fried egg, avocado, tomato... it was really good, endless coffee and even a to-go cup. I would say this is a place to try if you're in that area. Well Done!

An incredibly welcome addition to downtown Douglas! Delicious food, super friendly staff. Highly recommend trying whatever special they have - the one we tried was creative and so tasty! Super fresh ingredients, innovative dishes...loved it!!

We joined the line and chose to dine in. Selections of ours included egg salad and turkey and even PB&J! I tried multiple sandwiches and while they took a little while to get (they were also very busy!), we found a seat quickly, started eating our chips and did a bunch of people watching. There's water if you don't want to buy drinks but the food. Wow! The egg salad was delicious - so delicious. Turkey was also. Everything was freshly made, with high quality bread and toppings. Spot was bustling but clean and quick service considering how busy it was. Bathrooms were clean (they must have quick cleaning due to the amount of people). Quality food in a quality atmosphere. And I think they do events - the spot on one side had a sign that they were going to be closed for an event. That must be a great area for a party!

Incredible food that I'm Gibbs dream about for a few more nights yet. I had the walleye, my fiancée had the pot pie (called something else on the menu; I forget exactly what). I came even describe the flavors (except to say the horseradish mixed in the potato top of the pot pie is inspired!) Our server was very kind, personable, and relaxed, and she offered us great recommendations, and boy am I glad I listened. I can't recommend this place enough. When we got here, we were very confused on how to order so the takeout people told us to go to the hostess at the front of the restaurant, so we did. Then when we got to the front, they said that the patio is takeout only so we had to go back. Whatever no big deal. We go to the back and we order. One of the baristas was not nice. She was wearing a mask and had her hair cut short. She just was not nice to us. Didn't want to give us mugs or silverware because we were eating outside... umm ok??? We are waiting outside for our food and we see that one of the waitresses is taking people to be seated on the patio.... Ummmm what? I guess the other barista (her name was Anna) noticed and started bringing us silverware, ketchup, salt and pepper. Normally that would have been reserved for people dining in but she felt bad that the hostess lowkey lied to us. We ended up giving anna a tip because she was just so kind to us even tho she wasn't a waitress or anything.

Once we all looked at the menu ahead of time, including the people who made the reservation, we all quickly realized it was much more upscale and limited than what most of us were looking for. Seriously, this place is for sophisticated eaters, and it is not right for everyone. Ya know, it's right for those people who like to spend hundreds of dollars not to get full and then like to gloat about how fancy their palette is because they ate at a gourmet restaurant. We all saw the movie "The Menu", right? We tried calling to cancel our reservation, but were told that cancellations within 24 hours require a $20 per person fee, which would have totaled over $200 for our group. Because of that, we decided to eat elsewhere beforehand and came here mostly for drinks or dessert; only a few people in our group ordered food. While the dishes looked beautiful and high quality, the portions were quite small for the price and felt too specific for my personal taste. I understand the concept of quality over quantity and the blending of flavors perfectly meshing together, but this menu just was not our group's vibe. There were also only a handful of very specific entree options to choose from. They do have a six-course meal option for $110 a person or a nine-course meal option for $160 a person, with wine pairings being optional for $60 more a person, but I was not about to spend $200 for dinner, nor did I want to sample every meal option they had available. I ended up just ordering the sorbet, and it was delicious. When we arrived, we were seated in a private area near the front window at a long table, which was nice in theory, but the space was extremely hot. It was uncomfortable enough that several of us commented on it throughout the night. Our waitress was professional, although it felt a bit awkward since most of us were not ordering full meals. I can understand how that may not have been ideal for a large group from a service standpoint because she was probably expecting a huge bill and, consequently, a huge tip from our party. Overall, I am sure the food is excellent for those who enjoy a more refined and curated dining experience. It just was not the right fit for our group or for me personally, and I would not choose to return on my own. I hope everyone who chooses to come here loves the food and enjoys the experience.

Second, the hostess and bartender were welcoming, kind, and professional. Third, the ambiance is clean, modern, and open. We loved the classy, but not pretentious, vibe since many of the other spots in town have more of a dive-bar vibe. We sat at the bar to watch games on the TV, but there were plenty of tables with chairs, as well. The drinks menu is fabulous! I got a different cocktail each night and loved both. First, the Partridge in a Pine Tree. Second, a Dirty Gin Martini. Both were flavorful, high quality, and boozy. My husband tried the IPA the first night and the Pilsner the second. He loved both!
