At first I didn't know what to expect there was a 45 minute wait for breakfast. But we waited and shopping at the stores while we waited to eat. It was definitely worth the wait! The food was amazingly the best tasting breakfast I had in a long time. The server we had was definitely on her game and on top of everything. The owner was the hostess and she was so sweet and funny. I got "the standard" and my friend got the "B.E.C.". I asked for the hashbrown casserole instead of the hashbrown patty. The scrambled eggs were done perfectly along with sausages that were so good and huge. Which came with English muffins and a blackberry jam that tasted sooooo good. The best side by far was the hashbrown casserole, done to perfection topped with crispy onion straws I believe and it was so cheesy and so good. I think it also had ranch on it which was unbelievably incredible tasting! We loved both meals tremendously and say this restaurant is totally worth the wait, any wait for that matter! You have to eat here, it's a must! When we come back I am definitely eating here again! Also the atmosphere is quite nice they have eggs painted on the walls. Followers by very cute hearts hanging from the ceiling. The Womens bathroom was just adorable! Which also had a note in the stall for those women who are on a date that isn't going well!! Not quite what I expect in a breakfast/brunch place. I had to carefully read the menu as most items required an explanation. The eggs were ordered over easy, and they were. The hash browns were slightly better than McDonalds. The sausage were tasty. I'm more into omelets and real hash browns myself. The atmosphere is noisy, I struggled to hear V and the waitresss. This place and the staff were a relaxed, hippy chic vibe - bright and cheerful. My eggs were cooked perfectly to order and the hash brown patties were like McDonald's but with more flavor and less grease. The sourdough toast was crispy and chewy, as you'd hope. The service was excellent. it was a busy morning when we arrived and I had not had coffee ( and I can be Grinchy) but our waitress Gabby vanquished the Grinch. This is the cutest little breakfast spot in Douglas! The decor inside is super fun and whimsical. There are several items on the menu that you can "make bougie," where they basically add extra fun toppings. I got the banana bread and opted for the bougie version which added crunchy peanut butter, bacon, and toasted marshmallows. While it was delicious this is definitely something you should get as a started for the whole table to share. The potato's as a side were delicious and perfectly crisp. I pick random places I've never been and this was the winner today. I stopped by, ample street parking, nice clean place inside, very friendly staff. They told me of the special so I decided that's the way to go, it was a double smash chorizo burger with a fried egg, avocado, tomato... it was really good, endless coffee and even a to-go cup. Went with a group of 6 adults for brunch. We were new to the area so we drove in from about 20 minutes out and called ahead, so they set aside a table for us. The ambience was cute and fun with a fireplace, a cute egg wall (pictured in the ambience section), and some small hidden trolls dancing along the ceiling decor. I also noticed a coloring page for kiddos. The place was somewhat small but tables did not seem crowded. We were able to have our own conversation without being interrupted by the conversations of others. The staff were very polite from the hostess, to the waitress, to the server. Collectively, we ordered a cinnamon roll, pumpkin bread, the standard, hash brown casserole, pattycakes, the sugar waffle, biscuits and gravy, and some mimosas. The cinnamon roll was about the size of a softball. It was very moist and had a rich glaze, served at the perfect temperature. The pumpkin bread tasted delicious and was not overly sweet. It was served with some candied nuts and a cream on top and sat on a thick smear of pumpkin ganache. It was slightly dense and dry but still worth it. The standard was your typical egg and meat dish. The eggs were cooked the way we ordered and the sausage links were about the size of an adult finger but very thick. The has brown casserole was a great size. Served in a bowl and full from tip to bottom, it had has browns, potato crunches, cheese, and we ordered with sausage gravy as well. It was thick, delicious and very filling, even for a big guy. The pattycakes are their pancakes. It came with three pancakes. They are large and not too thick, but enough to be fluffy and moist. they tasted sweet and of cinnamon. The butter added a nice richness and saltiness and served with syrup as well. Serve with fruit if you want a healthier addition. The sugar waffle was one of my favorites. It was a standard size waffle with your mix of a firm outer part and a fluffy inside. The best part was the addition of the topping of sweet cinnamon crunchies and an amazing maple Chantilly (think a heavy and sweet whipped cream that Lesley Knope would throughly enjoy). The biscuits and gravy came with two dense cheddar drip biscuits that probably could have stood on their own. They were a good mix of dense and fluffy. They were also not too dry. The sausage gravy was a darker brown and very peppery in a way that made me sweat, but it was very deliciously seasoned and went very well with the biscuits. It took everything I had to finish eating, but it was definitely worth it. Bring family, friends, adults, or kids and a joy an amazing meal at a fair price. read more
