This place has every coat, sweater, dress, any so many cute outfits for dogs!!! I love the adorable sweaters. They also have fancy leashes, treats, and food. There's truly something for everyone. The manager of this store helped us with our fish selection. And she was so knowledgeable and taught us many nuggets while we were there. I highly recommend this store!!

I can hear the meowing in my dreams and want to stop by everyday to enjoy kitten time. This is an unassuming little place in St. Albert, but I like it! It's one of those pet stores that feels as though it's from the past because they still feel alive with pets. We don't get to St. A very often at all, but they have bomb prices in comparison to other places, so it's worth a stop in when we are in town. Case in point: the cat hammock in Petland was $54 and the cat hammock here was $23 (?!?!?!). That's an insane savings. We also got tongs for $11, and they're usually like $25 at Petland. Same brand of Exoterra Tongs too. Crazy. I also got four frozen rats for like $5 each or something? I was impressed by that price for petite rats. We're not feeding our new rescue snake live anymore and she is taking to frozen quite well, so I'm down for the savings and not having to feed live (my heart couldn't handle it). Staff is just OK. It tends to be young kids that don't really know what is going on, prices of things or information on products. They're not too interested in answering your questions so it's kind of like a fend for yourself situation. I know what I'm looking for though so it's all good. I'll be back for the prices and variety of items.

They come in a clear plastic container filled with fresh dirt and a bunch of pinkish meal worms that are happily squirming around, doing the things that meal worms do. The prices of their worms are very reasonable, and there's many different sizes as well. I still find them disgusting though, and I often feel like they are going to someone get out of the container and start crawling all over me. I haven't been to Paradise Pet Centre for much else other than the worms, but this is a really nice store that is kept very clean and organized. The staff is really helpful and nice too. I used to have a fish, so sometimes I'd browse the fish merchandise, but it's pretty expensive. I found PJ's Pets and Petcetera to be cheaper.

They never try to push any products on you and really take the time to listen to you and your pets needs. And I especially love how Kris individually picks what items goes in the store. He truly cares about the wellbeing of his furry customers. Very honest and sincere people. I won't go any where else! I highly recommend.

Load up a bunch, head to the till and it doesn't ring up on sale. Cashier calls a floor manager to check the shelf, who then checks with the store manager and apparently this was a Black Friday promo that had expired. Even with their mistake of the signage being left up they wouldn't honour the discount out of goodwill. Not even a few pieces. According to the floor manager they don't take part in the Code of Conduct, whatever that means. However if the company can afford to put it on sale for a price, they can afford to honour the sale when the employees haven't removed the signage a few days after the expiration. Incredibly disappointed with the service and likely won't be back.

They also don't come individually wrapped - they wrap them in paper towel and put them in a bag for you. This means they might get freezer burn or stuck together if you don't use them fast enough. So my suggestion is to only buy like 4 at a time instead of stocking up. I honestly think I will keep coming here for worms, but I'll stick to buying my rats elsewhere just for the price alone. You gotta come on Tues/Thurs to get the new worms! If you come on a Monday the selection isn't good and you might be buying 50 but then find that half are dead. So definitely try and come in for the fresh shipment. Sometimes I bring my babygirl Smaug (Bearded Dragon) here and the staff is so nice to here. They love seeing her and she likes to be out and about socializing with all the humans. I like that you can bring your animals here - even the reptiles. The store is well lit, spacious, has a water station if you're bringing along a furry friend and there were enough salespeople on the floor for it to be easy to find someone to help me locate items. If you shop online and live in Alberta shipping is free, over $100 I believe, and they ship out items within a couple of days with only 1-2 day shipping speed. The prices are the same or better than other pet stores or Amazon and I'd rather shop local where I can. I was having trouble finding a two door crate with a divider online with other retailers, but I was able to find one at Homes Alive Pets. I do note that what's available online is a little different than what's in store, so I'm glad I went in store because my pup has now found a little dragon chew/rope/squeaky toy that she goes absolutely crazy for that I wouldn't have known existed if I didn't go into this location.
