Petland is a Canadian company so that's great if you prefer to shop Canadian. There are also signs on any items that are Canadian manufactured which is a great touch. The store is nicely organized, clean and brightly lit. The selection is really nice. I found it easy to find what I was looking for. Definitely sign up for the pets club since the discounts on items are worth it. It does seem pricier than some other stores - but if you don't mind paying a dollar or two more to support Canadian this is definitely worth checking out.

They usually have some rescue kittens/cats near the front window so it is always fun to visit them while you are shopping. They have a nice big dog wash at the back of the store. Lots of selection for a small store and the prices are good. There is ample parking as it shares a big lot with all the businesses in the strip mall. We have always found a spot right in front of the store though so the parking is spread out well for all the business tenants. The store is clean and bright and the staff have always been excellent! Highly recommend this location.

This store is new to the neighborhood and yet already staffed with fresh, smiling faces eager to…read morehelp with details on potential pet ownership. I found myself succumbing to the urge to cuddle with some furry little animal and so on a whim, entered Petland. I was able to make friends with an adorable hedgehog and a cute and squeaky guinea pig. (I had no idea that guinea pigs actually do this oink-whistle thing!!) Exploring options to find a pet companion for my rabbit, I was happy to find the employees at Petland genuinely interested in the best solution for both my home, my rabbit and the potential new pet. I left the store on my first visit with a few brochures on guinea pigs and hedgehogs trying to distinguish which might be better suited for our family. On the second visit (another of many...it's right by a grocery store!! How can I resist going in there and browsing cuteness?!), I fell in love with a little black rascal of a rabbit who I thought would be the perfect friend for my rabbit and not just because they are the same color - he just had some spunky characteristics that I liked. I was allowed to hold him, pet him and when I inquired as to how I would go about with the introduction to my rabbit (for territorial reasons) I was informed they had a neutral room just for that. So, we returned the next day with our little rabbit Gretchen, excited to have her meet this potential new roomie and after much awkwardness on my part watching her unexpectedly hump the snot out of this poor rabbit's face, back, haunch -- all of it! -- I realized maybe this little guy wasn't a guy since he was failing miserably at establishing any dominance. Sadly confirming it was a female, (not ideal for our desired pet gender schematic), we ended up deciding not to take the rabbit. I found the staff were still more than courteous despite the time they spent helping us and at the end of their shifts. (we came in after 8:30 both times and they close at 9pm) A special shout out to the Store Manager, Kaelen Humphreys, who was very patient throughout the whole decision-making process. We will definitely be returning to this location for other pet related items such as fish supplies, fish tank stuff, fish, and probably rabbit chew toys, etc. Also, I noticed all the animal areas, every time I have visited the store, are exceptionally clean and the animals don't look depressed or anything. I think they get a lot of love from the staff which is nice to know.

Came to Petsmart's grand opening today in the Erin Ridge Shopping Centre…read more Staff were a plenty and store was bright and clean of course! Smaller than some locations but still carries just about everything you need. Identical cat food was only about 10% more expensive than Walmart. Good to come here on sale days or for a special treat. And remember - pets are welcome! PS I highly recommend the furminator cat and or dog hair brush. It's pricey but will last forever. It gets the undercoat of the pet. Worth every penny!

I can spend a lot of time exploring a good PetSmart because there's so many things for pets I never…read morewould have dreamed of - some of the toys are cute enough that you wouldn't even need a pet to enjoy them! The danger of "just browsing," of course, is that you'll eventually find a pet you can't resist. Got a new kitty just before Christmas who has totally won my heart - they feature pets from the Edmonton Humane Society, which is great. They also have special adoption weekends with LOTS of critters to beg to come home with you. If you do adopt, be sure to get one of their free packets (for cats and dogs) that are full of coupons for special deals, even a free bag of food. Speaking of food, who would have imagined that dog or cat food could take up aisles and aisles, and then more aisles! Never knew there were so many choices - you're sure to find what is exactly right for your best friend here, be it puppy or fish or gerbil. You can even bring your pet to the store and let them pick out their favourite! They might even get a surprise treat at check-out time :-)

My dog is 14 years old now, he is a pure bred border collie. I have been giving him Sportsman Pride…read morefor 14 years. He is still pretty healthy for an old guy. Border collies are only suppose to live 12 years but my Dexter is still going. I believe it is from the food. I found it way better than production line quick stuff to only expand in the belly and is full of dyes. Dexter's coat is very shiny and he still has lots of energy. I would recommend this store to anyone, matter fact I have. I found the staff to be very knowledgeable and the price is awesome. I get a large bag for $70.00+ but it lasts him 5 or 6 months so it works out to only $13.50 a month. You really can't beat that. Dexter's food is always down for him, I do not feed him on a schedule. He is perfectly healthy and like I said its because of the food. You will be happy you went to this establishment.
