I sleep on big 5 but they have the best shoes honestly. 25 bucks for kids skate shoes that fit me. Work boots at maybe 50 or so. Cheaper than WSS which I'm sad I got theirs first as they're not as good as the price point indicates. Next time I'm coming here. I visited this place twice and everything I come I'm always greeted. I'm not sure if this location is smaller than other big 5 stores I've gone too but to me this store is pretty small but they have a lot in stock. Parking is easy due to it being in a big plaza. The associates are always helpful and are willingly to answer any questions on products and even help you find what you're looking for. Another plus about this location is they actually answer the phone so you can call to ask if they have something in stock before you even go up there! The clearance sales are really good I was able to find a $90 dollar weighed blanket and got it for $30 that's a steal. read more

There is definitely a reason why I only shop in certain areas. I call and get connected, calling to confirm if they have an item in stock. The website suggest calling the store. So I ask and the employee answers with an attitude. I ignore it. I ask her if the sleeping bag is in stock. She goes "uhhhhhh you're going to have to call back tomorrow cause we are closed" it wasn't even what was said. It's how she said it. I looked at the phones it's 7:58pm. I get it, they're about to close. But why even pick up the phone to let me know you're not going to help me? And no need for the attitude???? read more

Cool Big 5 location we stopped at yesterday to take a look at some sporting goods and fitness gear. Place had a good amount of stuff to look at and see. Parking lot is really small. I had to be careful where you park too, Security made me feel safe and comfortable. Nice place, they had everything well kept. Customer service was good. Id love to visit again. read more

They didn't open at 9, and when I knocked on the doors all of the employees ignored me. At 4:20 p.m. My husband, 2 year old and 6 year old boy, was looking at fitness clothes and decided we didn't want anything. We then looked at the basketballs and also decided we didn't want it. There was another family in there with a handful of stuff. The other couple little girls stood next to the detector with a handful of items, and the alarm went off. My family decided to leave as the couple was telling their little girls to back away from the door because of the items, but the worker (unsure of her name) but I believe thai or Asian insisted on thinking it was us trying to steal something until my husband said firmly it isn't us while the couple at thr same time kept telling their little girl to come back with the items. The cashier then rolled her eyes and said okay. I WAS LIVID. My husband told me to drop it because had he not been with me, I would have asked for the manager. It's a pretty small location compared to every other Big Five that I've gone into. The parking lot is pretty busy... and the grassy median strips separating the parking rows were big mud pits. Literally had to jump across them, lest I lose a shoe in the big puddles. Merchandise was tidy and the layout was fine... prices were very good. The line... OMG the line... it was soooooo slow. Our clerk was moving so slow, it reminded me of the scene in the Matrix where Neo dodged the bullets in slow-motion. I expected to see ripple effects through the air of tube socks being thrown into plastic bags. Seriously, it was like she got a bonus check if she spent more than 5 minutes with each customer. We were third in line at 11:15. We got to her at 11:28. There were ten people behind us. They're probably still there. read more

This Big 5 is awesome. It feels a little cramped compared to other locations, but I guess that's because they have so much merchandise jammed in there. SERVICE Everyone working this evening was very pleasant and were able to assist us to find what we were looking for. The cashier lines were very quick, too! SELECTION The store was generally stocked well and had plenty of Trojan stuffed toys and such throughout the store (always a bonus). I have always come here thinking I'm going to find what I need for whatever athletic sport I will be participating in. However, they are always shy of having what I need or just don't have it at all. They carry your typical Nike and Adidas brand stuff. A little overpriced and not as organized as the other big 5 stores I've seen. Friendly staff does help out. If you need something like athletic clothes or equipment as soon as possible. This is the place to come if you have a high budget. Good selection on shoes. Decent spot, parking can get crazy due to the amount of businesses in one lot. Also walking in is very cramped and you will need to be patient to find everything. One of the big pluses is the staff are usually pretty friendly sans one or two that just seem a little short but nothing crazy. read more

We went there to buy a stationary cycling bike we saw on the big5 website for 199.99 which was cheaper than Amazon and competing sellers (normally sells for $300). My wife and I went Saturday to buy it, we got there and were informed the special was for Black Friday. BUT, the gentlemen who helped us honored the 199.99 pricing. It was true though, we didn't read the webpage that read 11/25. The sales person ( I think he might have been the manager though, not sure.) was very friendly, helpful, and even helped us take this 100lb box to our car and helped load it up. I wasn't sure his position in the store so I tried to tip him for helping us so much (he kindly rejected the tip), which is when my wife mentioned he might be the manager lol. This was a funny place and experience. Good thing I don't get irritated and mad quickly haha cuz otherwise I would have been that customer that would have been a total bitch. I walked in asking if they had a hiking backpack that had a pocket without the water reservoir and the lady just seemed completely lost by my question. She walked over to another worker and asked him the same question and he said that the only thing they have is the CamelBak UnBottle Insulated Reservoir...and walked away. I was so confused. I knew it couldn't be the case. So I took it upon myself to look for a backpack that had the pocket to insert the reservoir since I already owned one and found one literally right next to the section he pointed out to me earlier. I picked one at a great sale price and walked over to the cashier. I showed him that this is what I was looking for and he didn't even seem to notice I was talking to him and kept talking to one of his other co-workers.
