    Pristine workout studio.
    Stacy J.

When my favorite fitness studio closed right before the pandemic, I took way too long of a hiatus before finding Pvolve. But once I did, I never looked back! Pvolve is my favorite workout. It's so well rounded. The classes and amazing instructors are challenging but not so hard that I dread going to class, and I feel so good when I'm done!!!! There are tons of class times and class options throughout the day, so I can always find something that works with my schedule. The best thing about Pvolve is that the workout is so well balanced that this is the first time in my life that I've been able to do a 50 minute class 3-4 times a week and I don't have to fit in another 3 days of cardio to feel good in my clothes. I love that each instructor is positive and encouraging, the studio feels new and clean, and the equipment is so versatile I'm never bored. They have all different options for classes so you can pay by the class or buy a monthly membership for the most bang for your buck. Pvolve and the entire Pvolve team also make it a point to celebrate each and every milestone, making every member feel like an important part of the community. Every 50 classes, they give members a thoughtful gift (I love my Pvolve bag and sweatshirt from my 100th class!) and take a photo commemorating all of the hard work and classes you took to get to that day. They also offer an infrared sauna membership, but I haven't tried that yet even though others say they love it. If you haven't tried a class yet, jump on it!

    Awesome class with Julie Ann

I took the 2:00pm Strength & Sculpt Class on Sunday with Julie Ann and it was very different from any other workout I've tried. If I had to describe it, I would say it's a solid mix of Physical Therapy, Pilates and Mat work. We used 2 lb dumbbells, a slant board, 1.5 lb ankle weights and a mat. Proper form was shown to us before and through out the workout. Julie Ann seemed to know everyone by name and even remembered my name after a quick introduction before class. I appreciated that she would show us a move and instead of staying stationary, she moved throughout the room to correct form. The studio is pretty fancy but the front staff (Matt) was very welcoming. They have a small locker room, just about every hygiene product you could think of (in case you forgot a hair tye - they've got you covered), two gender neutral bathrooms, a nice sitting area and two large patios you can hang out on before or after class. I think this would be a great workout for anyone dealing with an injury, chronic pain or is completely new to working out. If you're pretty strong or used to HIIT style training, you will likely hate this because it's very slow and controlled. That being said, the moves are still beneficial. Oh and don't forget shoes! This is not a barefoot workout.

LOVED the strength and sculpt class here with Shanelle! This has been my favorite so far using classpass. First of all, the studio itself is really cute and aesthetically pleasing - from the locker area to the actual class area that is connected to an outdoor deck where you can sit and relax (see pics). What I loved about this class was how it was a good combo of strength, stretching, and some cardio all together. Shanelle was an very kind and attentive instructor and made usage of the equipment very easy. I didn't need to rent anything unlike some other classes in LA, all you need is workout shoes. What also made the class very fun was how lit the music was bc it was exactly my vibe.

Great workout! Hard to explain, but it kind of feels like low impact aerobics, Pure Barre, and maybe some Pilates thrown in for fun.

There are hand sanitizer stations and sanitizer wipes. I am glad to see this place improve!

I'm guessing 4 or 5 guys got quite a shock. This is the 17th time this has happened when I've been there around lunchtime. Also, the AC is broken again. It's usually broken and not running from June through October, but this time it broke in February. It did work sporadically for a day or two - like a few days ago - but it's broken again. Bigger issue remains that La Fitness lets women walk in and out of the men's lockeroom. Big problem.

Easton's owner Toby and his passionate staff have facilitated a respectful and supportive community over a long period of time where all bodies are welcome, member input is prioritized, and most importantly, re-racking your weights and putting shit back where you found it is the norm! Working out at Easton feels like being part of a long tradition in Los Angeles. Even though the equipment isn't as new or exciting as other places and "it doesn't have air conditioning!" as everyone LOVES to say, nothing beats working out within Easton's beautiful brick walls, amongst vintage windows that catch a refreshing cross-breeze and dumbbells that look like they were carried by strong men in the 1940's. Easton rarely gets frustratingly crowded, and its members overall are simply RESPECTFUL, relaxed, authentic, and make this the type of business you can only find in Los Angeles. I love Easton gym!

From what I saw, this is a pretty clean facility. The workout room is on one floor without having another room on top of it, and that's important because you don't hear people running or pounding while you're trying to stretch or take your class. Parking is in a lot nearby. Make sure to get validation, which is at the front near the check-in desk. I have been…read morea loyal member for several years, and this place has always been convenient and one of my favorites. However, I recently encountered a shocking situation. After a long break, I decided to come back and invited my friends to join me. One of them had an active membership, while the other did not. The friend who had a membership agreed to work out with us and guide us, even though she is not a professional trainer, just our friend. When I brought my other friend who was interested in becoming a member and joining me regularly, she was not allowed to enter because she had not registered online, and there was no one available on-site to assist her. This was despite the fact that she had a guest pass from me. We tried to resolve the situation on the spot, but instead of showing understanding, the receptionist -- a young Spanish-speaking woman of average height with long black hair, who appeared to be new and unfamiliar with me -- behaved very rudely. She refused to help, delayed us with the registration process, and made everything unnecessarily complicated instead of assisting my friend in becoming a member. This resulted in a very unpleasant experience for us. Moreover, the following day, I was denied access to my regular Zumba class with a different instructor, despite being a long-time member. The reason given was that the previous day we had worked out with our friend who was guiding us. I was extremely upset, and the situation escalated to the point where the police were called to make me leave the gym. This humiliating experience put me in a very uncomfortable and embarrassing position. I am deeply disappointed. If anything like this happens again, I am prepared to pursue legal action, as this situation is unacceptable and has left a very negative impression on me. If I do not receive a formal apology, they will lose three loyal clients, as well as future potential clients I was planning to bring with me.

My experiences here have been so unbelievably bad that "disappointment" doesn't even begin to cover it. Let's start with the manager, Jimmy. In my personal experience, he has been one of the rudest, least helpful managers I've ever encountered anywhere. Any time I've tried to ask a simple question, he acts like I'm inconveniencing him by daring to exist. His attitude alone is enough to make someone want to cancel their membership. The filth in this gym is unbelievable. It constantly looks like it hasn't been properly cleaned in ages. The bathrooms are grimy, the workout areas smell awful, and the equipment is covered in dust and sweat like no one even bothers to wipe anything down. It's genuinely gross. And speaking of equipment--half the machines seem to be broken at any given time. Not just occasionally. Constantly. For weeks. Cardio machines, weight machines, you name it--there's always a giant "Out of Order" sign slapped on something. It's a gym where you can barely work out. Even worse, there is NO WATER. Not "the fountain was down for a few hours." No--there have been multiple times I've shown up and there was absolutely zero working water available anywhere in the facility. A gym that can't provide water is unthinkable, yet here we are. Their payment system is a joke too. I've had several experiences where they couldn't take cash, credit, anything because their system was down. How does a modern business function like that? And on top of all this, the gym feels completely unmanaged, with people who clearly aren't members constantly coming in to use the bathrooms, showers, and hang out. The staff seem overwhelmed or uninterested, and the situation feels chaotic and poorly controlled. In my experience, this location is an absolute trainwreck from top to bottom. Between the rude management, disgusting facilities, broken machines, no water, and non-stop operational failures, I can confidently say this is the worst gym I've ever stepped foot in. Avoid this place unless you enjoy frustration, filth, and wasting your money.
