    Yelp is what brought me to Thaddeus, so I feel like it's only fitting that I return back to leave a glowing review of my experience training with him. So, a little bit of background... My entire life I've always been tall and slender/athletic. I was a soccer player for over a good decade of my life, until my career was cut short due to a horrific knee injury. :( Over the years, I've gone to numerous physical therapists, and always left feeling defeated; like I was paying all that money (and wasting my time) for no help whatsoever. Nothing ever worked. I hated it. All I knew was that I missed running and being toned/in shape, I missed having an athlete's body and I missed feeling healthy. I always felt like I was slipping. Fast forward to the beginning of this year. I started 2018 in a really bad place emotionally, which ultimately resulted in me being in a really bad place physically. My diet was all over the place, my emotions felt like they were spinning out of control and I either (unintentionally) starved myself or ate everything I wanted to. Not a good place to be. Thankfully, I snapped out of the depression and told myself I have to get back in shape and get my life back on track. Over the summer, I started going running, just at my own pace, and dealing with any knee pain as it came. Eventually, however, it became too much to handle and at that point I knew I seriously needed to do something. But I also knew I really, REALLY didn't want to go back to (useless) physical therapy... I wanted a legit change. One day in August, I had this sudden impulse to look for a personal trainer. Which is super weird, because I've never once in my life thought "I want to get a personal trainer." Hell, I hadn't even been in a gym since... high school I think? (Needless to say, it had been a long time...) It was like this thought just came over me, and before I knew it, I was on Yelp searching for "best personal trainer nyc," which brought me here. To Thaddeus. ... Best "urge" I've ever gotten. Right from the very beginning, Thaddeus was professional and helpful. We sat and talked about my goals and how he could help me. At my first complimentary session (he offers one free intro session for any new clients!), he gave me a book called "Food Rules: An Eater's Manual" by Michael Pollan, which is pretty much a food bible for anyone like me, who never really learned how to eat healthy. He told me to study it, and that I needed to food log everything I ate so he could take a look and analyze. As scary as that sounded, I knew after my first complimentary session with him that this was something I needed to invest in. I'm not going to pretend I understand all the correct terminology of muscles and body parts, or anything like that. Because I don't. But the way Thaddeus explains it all has been super easy to understand. I'm sure anyone who talks to Thaddeus, within a matter of minutes, will see how knowledgeable he is in his field. We've been training together for about two and a half months now. Time flies! When I first started seeing him, he worked with me to make sure the stretches and exercises we did together felt okay and didn't cause any knee pain. Anything that caused pain, he slightly adjusted or we avoided altogether until we found a routine that worked for us. Now, we're pretty much in a groove and have definitely figured out the best movements and weight training for me. :) THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN YEARS I'VE BEEN ABLE TO WORK OUT WITHOUT ANY PAIN!!! I honestly feel like I'm a million times more confident than I was when I started with him a few months ago. My posture is better, and I am already seeing tone, and change. It's still so crazy to me, how going to the gym 3-4 times a week can produce these results in only a matter of months. Combined with diet/watching what I eat, I feel my body changing for the better. And I'm finally starting to SEE the changes too. I love it. :) One thing I want to say is that Thaddeus has been extremely patient with me. I'm not always the easiest client. Running late, telling him "nooooooo" when he makes me do something I don't want to, not knowing how to use the gym equipment - seriously - and him looking at me genuinely confused how I don't know what he is talking about (hahahaha), having to reschedule at the last minute to accommodate my social life ... ;-) He's always been so incredibly kind and patient with me and I respect that a lot. Also, he's just overall a really cool guy. Makes working out fun! When I paid Thaddeus up front for my sessions on Venmo, I remember writing "changing my life" as the caption that went along with the payment. Looking back on that now, I think that's probably the most accurate description I could have put, even though I'm sure at the time I didn't realize just how much he would - or could - have an effect on me. Thank you, Thaddeus, for changing my life. Hire him as your trainer - I promise he will change yours too.

    Before I started working out with Thaddeus I was overweight and was in a lot of pain in my right knee and my hips.I was recommended Thaddeus by someone I trusted. Thaddeus and I worked out regularly twice a week. He taught me how to move properly and I saw results quickly. After training with Thaddeus for over a year I've lost over 40 pounds and I'm completely pain-free. I highly recommend Thaddeus, he's extremely qualified and knows his stuff!

    Thad got me out of a rut. My girlfriend left me for some rich deuchebag. I was drinking and getting lost, smoking. Thaddeus had me come in and on day one I felt the burn and I was hooked. He really pushes you and is extremely knowledgeable about all areas of the body. I had an existing bad knee and he has expertly got me to work the muscles around it, he knows how to keep me from doing exercises that will hurt that very specific area. Not only does his training skill have this acute specificity, he also has a great sense of the general trajectory of what needs to be improved and what areas to target. I have muscles where I never did before! If you want to get in shape fast and safely Thaddeus is your man.

    I randomly found Thaddeus from an Instagram post by Leslie Jones from SNL (he's her trainer and she looks darn good). From day one he proved himself as a true professional with immense knowledge of nutrition and exercise. The best part about Thaddeus is that he truly cares and goes above and beyond to check in and make sure his clients are staying on track. Even after working a 12-13 hour days he always makes time for a chat to go over how your week went and what you can change to get better results. Thaddeus is a very knowledgeable, experienced trainer who kicks your ass and he also knows a lot about nutrition and looks at the whole picture. He has a heart of gold and is well loved by all who work with him. Highly recommended. He will change your life! He's more than a trainer he is basically a life coach. Thanks Thaddeus!!!!!!!

I'm the leanest and strongest I've ever been and he has crafted me into my personal feminine ideal. I have my booty and my curves BUT not the unneeded body fat lol. Every session is different and we target different muscles and different ways to pinpoint them . He is very specific and detailed in my legs especially and knows every exercise in the world seemingly at this point . We laugh a lot and talk about just about anything - that helps me to be distracted through a lot of the strenuous stuff . It's like I've figured out my life and body at the same time haha Adam as many know requires accountability . On days we don't train I usually have assignments to do on my own . He either checks them on the app or in person by asking me for a text update . He also checks on my diet and nutrition weekly and at the start daily . He has instilled a level of confidence, discipline and pride that I never had before and it bleeds into everything I do, relationships and especially my business.      In the first two years I lost 20 pounds and had my body fat percent down to a consistent 13-14 on a hydrostatic from a high of 26 percent . The best part is I worked my ass off to get there BUT I maintained it for the next five years as almost an afterthought. Adam instilled the habits and kept on me to keep pushing through adversity and change in my personal life. He does my nutrition , programming and uses the app to make sure I do basically the same workouts we do, but on my own.      Adam also is known for checking in ..... A LOT!  Almost every day I hear from him . Maybe that's because we are basically family now, but he just cares so much and wants you to be your best you. When you join you get an eval with a physiotherapist, who then meets with the trainers to determine where you, specifically, need to start building strength. I have never in my life been stronger and we even healed a high school knee injury and a recent disc injury. Sessions are efficient and intensive, 30 min (but you can double up for a 60). For semi private, one trainer guides 3 people doing their own program, so it's completely custom and very hands on re: form, etc. The owners, Wayne and Stephen, have created an amazing program and vibe: Supportive, AUTHENTICALLY positive, with trainers who know what they're doing and are so personable. I have never felt unsafe, even as I advance to things I've never done before. Highly HIGHLY recommended.

From the very beginning, Brandon (the owner) was super attentive and really took the time to understand what we needed as a couple training together. Great energy and very professional.
