This is a beautiful park! Great for kiddos with special needs!! My son plays baseball for the Miracle League and this is a perfect environment for him!!

12/21/22: overall 3.5 stars. This park has a few pretty picture spots, but is mostly baseball fields. It's near the tiny strip mall where Club Pilates is. There's no running trails, just sidewalks. Bear Creek Park is way better. But there's a playground there for the littles. There's free parking, and it's pretty clean and so are their bathrooms, which is why they get rounded up to 4 stars.

This is such a great park with so many things to do for kids ages 1-12. The best part of it is the ziplining! The splash pad and water area around the dragon is off for the season so we'll be sure to make it during the summer next year. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area or wanting to explore a new park! It does get crowded during weekends so weekdays are bet

What an awesome playground! Very roomy and clean. They have sections for specific age groups. From toddlers or young kids. Very awesome to bring your kids here !

Great place to take your kid to just run around and be crazy! The sprayground is a kids paradise of a constant water fountain of splash splash excitement. Lots of swings and slides everywhere. This place even has not just one but two zip lines! There are also three pavilions that can be rented out for kids birthdays. My only negative comment is that the slides can be almost molten lava hot, due to it being well, plastic. Other than that this place is great to take your kid too!

OK park. It's more of a sports park, with sports fields (baseball, volleyball, tennis, in-line hockey. I prefer parks with trees and scenic walking paths (with trees), but still, this is a nice park for what it offers. It is also close, walkable close, to several food options. Rita's Italian Ice, Fuzzy's Taco Shop, Sushi Sam, Jersey Mike's, Nekter Juice Bar, and Arezzo Italian Street Food to name a few. There's also a Starbucks close, if you need some caffeine. And a Tom Thumb for picnic supplies. Apparent;y big improvements are in the works. From the website: http://www.cityofsouthlake.com/index.aspx?NID=819 "Project Information The Bicentennial Park Improvement Project is a multi-phase project set to transform the existing park into a beautiful, safe, and functional signature park for Southlake. Phase III is the final phase of this project and includes a new tennis building, covered tennis court(s), trail system completion, sand volleyball courts with shared structure, synthetic turf field at current in-line hockey court, field renovations, and new sports lighting for the two open play tennis courts near the water tower." Bottom Line: A-OK park, just not enough trees for me. PS. Just read some other reviews. I guess I missed the zip line when I walked through the park, though I don't see it mentioned on the official website. I'll take a closer look next time.

Excellent park that is very spread out. Large sand pit, splash pad, smaller splash pool (dragon that "breaths water" from it's nose), zip line, music area, cave sitting areas, playground, infant swings, regular swings, and handicap swings, two rope play structures and Three pavilions that you can rent for parties. The whole place is enclosed. The Restrooms are nearby but not inside the gated area (about 30 steps from the gates). This park is awesome and have quite a lot for the younger kids.

The City of Southlake has finally remodeled and added new attractions to this park. My favorite part was the fenced in park area. There are so many unique features including zip lines, a jungle gym, a huge robe structure kids can climb, an artificial rock wall, swings and more. Aside from the enclosed play area mentioned above, there are countless tennis courts and baseball fields. Check it out! You won't be disappointed.

First time checking out the park. Loved it!! Son wanted to run his mile for the day. He went running. We took his little sister to the park. Lots to do for kids of all ages (though specifically it stated ages 5-12 for most of the equipment - Is that what you call them)? Lots of benches for parents Picnic tables available. Huge playground space and gated. This may be our go-to park from here on out.

When ever we got hot we would run through splash pad to cool off they'd continue to play and I'd sit back in the shade.

If I were rating this based on the ball fields, it would more than likely be five stars. But, being a mom of kids not yet in sports, I came for the playground, and that is how I'll rate the park. It's an okay playground. A little small. It was big enough for my 5 kids because they were the only ones there, but I imagine on a day where sports are going on at the fields, the playground would quickly become uncomfortably crowded. My kids loved the woodsy theme - log slides, large mushrooms to climb on, doors in trees - and it was fun to watch their imaginations run wild. It's a great start for pretend play. Unfortunately, the playground has NO SHADE. No shade over the play structure, no shade over the benches. With the Texas sun and a metal slide, this is not a good combination! I'm no arborist, so I couldn't tell you if the small trees around the perimeter of the playground will one day be huge shade trees or not, but I'd venture to guess my kids will be long grown before that happens. There is a shaded seating area outside of the playground where parents of older kids could sit, but it's a little too far away for most to feel comfortable leaving a toddler, I would think. The bathrooms are clean and nicer than what the typical park has to offer. All in all, North Park doesn't stand out against the other playgrounds in the area. Bicentennial Park is just around the corner and is a much better destination for kids to burn energy and moms to catch a break.

I'm pretty terrible at reading trail maps, but I believe we took the Bluebird trail and followed the signs to Grapevine Lake. The trail leads you right down to the water, where there is a nice little shore to throw rocks and splash around in. Someone even hung a tree swing a few hundred feet up from the lake. So fun! I can't speak for all the trails, but this particular trail was not entirely stroller friendly. I have a pretty nice jogger and a strong man to push it, so we did ok on the trail to Grapevine Lake, but the trail is very narrow in parts and most strollers will be too wide. You need one that is pretty much built for off-roading. The nature center might have a bathroom inside, but all I saw was a porta potty behind a privacy wall. Now is the time to get out and enjoy some outdoor exercise. The weather is crisp and nature is calling. Make your way to Bob Jones Nature Center and take advantage of the beautiful trails and gorgeous lake views.

Andy Brown is a beautiful space, from the pond to the open fields, the sidewalk/bike path, multiple large pavilions, and fun playground. There are large, mature trees surrounding the park. We parked in the wrong lot and had to walk alongside the gym in order to get to the playground and I couldn't believe how beautiful the pathways were with all the trees and the small creek running alongside. Not what I expected from a city park! The playground itself ("Kid Country") is almost fully enclosed and is a sprawling assortment of things to climb up, swing on, and slide down. There is a play area in the toddler section with storefronts to spark pretend play. The ground is bark. There are large trees in the center of the play area that provide shade and make the play structure look more natural than your typical playground. Almost like a tree house. There are benches scattered throughout the play area and a large covered pavilion with multiple picnic tables underneath. The city of Coppell provides free WiFi there and there were multiple moms with laptops out, working, while their kids played. The only big negative is the distance from the playground to the bathroom. I understand that they probably built the bathrooms more toward the center of the park, but the wise choice would have been to also put an additional small restroom right next to the playground. It's too far of a walk for me to feel comfortable sending my younger kids over there alone and it's kind of a bummer to have to wrangle together the entire group every time one kid has to pee. Otherwise, a fabulous park. LOVE IT. Hats off to you, Coppell!

There is also a small dig area and a staff member walking around with a baby dino the kids can pet. Our first loop through prehistoric park took about 15 minutes. We splashed and swam a bit in the lake and then returned for another quick loop through the dinosaur trail before heading home. Overall, it's a pleasant activity and definitely a kid-pleaser. My children ages 1-9 all enjoyed it. The problem is the cost. $29 is just WAYYYY too high for what this is. Part of me thinks the city of Grapevine should just continue to charge the regular entrance fee into Meadowmere Park and use the dinosaur exhibit as a way to increase traffic into the park during the off-season. We for sure will not be returning to the park until the exhibit is over and the entrance fee returns to a more reasonable rate.
