I was slightly hesitant about trying Korean fusion at Bib N Hops, but it was well-executed overall! Came for dinner on a Sunday night, seeing as it's located in a more commercial area of office buildings, it wasn't too crowded. We ordered 4 dishes:
- Tuna Poke Bowl: least favorite of the dishes, too much rice and not very flavorful.
- Beef Short Rib Skewers: sublimeeee the beef was so tender and tasty! Would order again!
- Kimchi Carbonara Udon: I was most concerned about this dish, but also excited to try, considering the fusion-ness of kimchi, carbonara style with bacon and egg, and udon. It was quite good but not "wow!"
- Cheesy Fried Chicken: fried chicken was perfect! What I didn't like was how it was doused in salsa and red sauce, the cheese was not so cheesy and stuck to the bottom. I thought it would be on the side for us to continually dip throughout the meal. Would order the regular boneless fried chicken next time.
Good selection of local beers on tap! We were seated at the back so it was a little difficult to get service but overall quite pleased with the quality of food. read more
