This is one of my local favorites for Thai food. It is a small restaurant that is always full and busy which is a reflection of the quality of food they provide. They are located in the LA fitness shopping mall right off of Route 38 which is conveniently located near local hotels and route 295. I love the green curry. It was chocked full of vegetables and the curry itself was a nice creamy texture. Probably one of the best green curries I have had. The salad that came with the green curry was nice as well. Will definitely visit again when I am in the area. NOTE: Make sure you are hungry because the serving size was hearty. read more

First time having Thai food (yes I know I'm crazy), and I was pleasantly surprised. For some reason, I was always scared that things would be too spicy, but that's not the case at all; they have the option of adding spice to some dishes on a 1-5 spice level, but most dishes aren't spicy at all. Why did I think that all of these years?! Favorite thing was the Thai Iced Tea. Omg! It was sooooo good. I might be addicted to these now instead of Starbucks! Definitely try one! We had the pad Thai, one with chicken and one with shrimp and they were both really good. I had enough to bring home for leftover but my boyfriend ate all of his. The place is pretty small inside but we had no problem getting a seat right away. A lot of people were just going in to pickup their takeout order and everything seemed well organized. Bhan Thai has delicious Thai food and pleasant service! I went there for lunch with my mom on Valentine's Day 2023. The restaurant moved in December 2021 from the end of Dearborn Shopping Center on Route 38 in Mount Laurel, NJ, to the middle of that area with a larger stand-alone building. We started our lunch with Thai iced tea which was a decadent, yummy treat. Then the vegetable spring rolls with mango sauce (I think or orange sauce) and they were very tasty. Tom Yum soup with shrimp is to die for! They give you a lot of large shrimp too so it's filling. I can't wait to get that again. I plan on getting a container to take-out and eating all of it. Lol. My mom got the Pad Thai with tofu and enjoyed it. I got Pad Khing with shrimp (fresh ginger, zucchini, snow peas, mushrooms, bell peppers, scallions, and onions) and it was delicious! I usually order from Bhan Thai in Marlton but was in the area. I got take out- Fried Calamari, Golden Triangles, and Tofu Pad Thai. Compared to their Marlton location, the dipping sauce for the appetizers were slightly different. It tasted very similar but was darker and had more ingredients in it. Also, the Fried Calamari and Golden Triangles were not as crispy compared to their Marlton location. All of the dishes tasted good, but their other location is better. An outstanding small restaurant. Had a BT Salad - included apples, strawberries, mixed greens and balsamic dressing with grilled shrimp. Wow. So so much better than I expected. Followed yelpers advice and did spicy fried rice (spice level can be 1 to 5 and 2 was perfect). After finishing this, I wanted to start meal over and do it all again. Now, at this point I point I go for broke - and order soufflé desert. Yes it takes 20 min and yes I sat there with dead phone patiently waiting... worth every minute. Such a cute spot! The atmosphere was nice inside, but once we finished eating and paid they definitely wanted us OUT. We didn't BYOB so I understand not wanting us to sit & chat if we weren't spending more money- next time I'll definitely Byob! The staff was very nice. The food was great! We had the chicken satay apps which is basic but was very good & came with a peanut sauce and toppings. I had a chicken dish with bok Choy and rice- I took home leftovers but immediately ate them that night! My friend got drunken noodles with shrimp and also enjoyed it just as much. Went with my girlfriend on a whim one day randomly and didn't expect too much, but the food ended up being amazing. Thai ice tea was incredible as well as the fried rice and the pad kee mao. The spring rolls might be the best I've ever had. Service was amazing and everyone was so kind. Not sure how I felt about the random covers of 80s songs but tbh didn't really care cause I was enjoying the food so much. Would definitely recommend. read more

Food was delicious! We really enjoyed the chicken satay appetizer, and the pad Thai for our meal was amazing. The peanut sauce for both dishes was my favorite part. We also tried the crispy tofu app which was pretty good, although I wish the tofu was a bit crispier! The food is fresh and supremely prepared. The service is attentive and you never wait For anything. Do make reservations, though. This is a BYOB spot. The ambiance is relaxed. The tables are far enough apart that no one will hear your conversation and it is not a "loud" restaurant. The perfect spot for a date night. read more

My ratings reflect the value of the food and service. My fiance and I have been here about 3 times and this place never lets us down no matter what time of day it is. If you like butternut squash definitely get this Entrees 1. Chicken Fried Rice Can't go wrong with this one. Savory. I'm not the guy that would suggest Thai when deciding on what to eat, as I have not found a lot of places good for Thai food (it's typically very watery curry, and they skimp on the shrimp/chicken/beef). That being said, Bhan Thai is maybe thee best Thai food I've ever had! We've dined in a few times (it's BYOB) and we take out fairly regularly. There are several spice levels (1-5 Stars is how they dined the spice level). It's a bit of a hike for us, but totally worth it! Recommended Dishes: Green Curry Shrimp (4 Star spice) Penang Curry Chicken (5 Star spice) Pad Thai Chicken (2 Star spice) Drunken Noodles Chicken (3 Star spice) Spicy Fried Rice Chicken (3 Star spice) Spring Rolls Also, I'd say go with brown rice instead of white rice, as it soaks up the curry flavors better! read more

I have been to Bhan Thai twice and both times the food was very, very good. I was just here last Saturday and I really like this place. The restaurant is bright and welcoming. It is not a large place, Bhan Thai probably holds about 20-30 people. We had Tom Yum soup with shrimp and that was very good, maybe just slightly under spiced. The Pad Thai was excellent and fresh, the Masaman curry was super flavorful and contained Avocado, nice touch. We had a noodle dish with beef that was great and and seafood dish. We also had daily special appetizer, a fried noodle with tofu and shrimp that was fantastic. Each dish was fresh, had tons of flavors and was just really, really good. The staff was friendly and the prices were typical. We are definitely going back. The only negative for me is I wish it was a bit closer to Cherry Hill. read more

Wow, this place is absolutely amazing! My husband is Thai and I've been to Thailand and I can say that this is my top 2 favorite in the world. The papaya salad with shrimp was soooo delish! Best I've had. I ordered the green curry with salmon and whoaaaa...so so yummy! The side vegetables were cut and grilled to perfection. We also ordered 3 other salmon dishes and they were cooked perfectly. Their sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves were so delicately made and perfectly paired with all the dishes to deliciousness. My sister ordered the shrimp pad Thai and she said it's the best I've she has ever had. Everyone was super nice and accommodating. This is NOW my favorite restaurant! In the world of Thai food, this place is at the top! Deliciously wrapped spring rolls with fresh veggies, delicious curry with touches of coconut, and wonderfully flavored Thai tea with a fresh flowery flavor (really called the Iced Green Tea Latte, but it's basically a Thai Tea!). All food is cooked perfectly crisp and cooked to the optimal crispness and temperature--no soggy noodles. I personally love all their dishes especially the curry puffs, a light and yummy pastry and a light sweet sauce for dipping. Their seating is comfortable and their center tables have a half booth type setting. The music isn't too loud or anything so you can hear your conversation. I like the openness of the restaurant with the high vaulted ceilings. Their service has always been great for us. We haven't had any issues and the food comes out fairly quickly. Amazing authentic Thai food with great wait staff. Do be careful because the food is spicy, so make sure to order at the proper "heat level" for your comfort. It takes a little while for your food to come out, but you can tell that it was cooked fresh, and all of the veggies are very fresh. The poor waitress had to refill my water nearly a dozen times (yeah, I was a little too cocky about my spice level), but was very nice and attentive. I haven't used the takeout service, have only eaten in the restaurant. It isn't a swanky or classy atmosphere, but I am more interested in fresh, tasty food when I eat out than surroundings anyway. If you like legit Thai food and enjoy supporting small family businesses, this is the place for you. read more

This is a new restaurant in the neighborhood. Thai fusion is their niche. First off this place doesn't have a liquor license, its BYOB, if you plan to have alcoholic beverages with your meal. My wife and I stopped in for dinner. This place is very neat and tidy, clean and very comfortable. It has a nice relaxing family feel type vibe. The staff is friendly and helpful. I ordered the shrimp dumplings appetizer. My wife had the Phuket Chicken wings. She had the Ban Thai sampler. I had the fried rice with crab meat. There are selections on the menu for those that like spicy food as well as dishes that arent heavy with "heat". We enjoyed the appetizers and the main courses. My wife had pineapple juice. I had the Thai iced tea. No complaints. For dessert we shared a chocolate souffle. It had whipped cream and a side of pistachio ice cream. If you want the chocolate souffle, it takes 15 minutes to prepare. That is going to be my go to dessert when I eat here. A lot of Yelpers gave it props! I do too! This place fills up fast for dinner on the weekends. I suggest reservations if you plan to dine later than 5:30 pm. Got takeout 1/1/21: vegetable thai spring rolls, fresh summer rolls (chicken), shrimp satay, pad see ew beef, pad kee mao tofu, and sticky rice with mango. Everything was delicious. The pad see ew actually had both regular and Chinese broccoli. Many Thai restaurants only use regular broccoli. It had the distinct flavor of fish sauce that many places lack. It was very good. The fresh summer rolls were completely packed with ingredients and probably the best I've had, even compared to Vietnamese only restaurants. The flavor in the pad kee mao was very good, and had lots of vegetables. Everything was good. The staff were all very nice. I'm definitely ordering from here again. Only thing I'll say is that their spice levels cater to non-Asians. I got level 5 which is the highest and I didn't even break a sweat. read more
