Technician initially charged 5 hours of labor even though he arrived at 11 and left at 3:30 including 30 minute lunch and 1 hour Home Depot trip for parts. Quick discussion and it was resolved. 2. Technician did not vacuum wood shavings from the area where he drilled to run wire. All other areas were cleaned up. It was likely he was late for another appointment and simply forgot to go back after loading his tools. Discussed with Dave Frey and he made it right. JW Shaw electric was recommended on the Tesla website for a EV charger installation. I called one…read moremorning and JW himself came out later that afternoon to give me a quote. They were by far the least expensive of the other companies that quoted the job. JW is a great man and turns out a great electrician! It took about a week to get on the schedule because of them being swamped with work. Very professional and they did a great job. JW sent pictures of the completed work to the city inspector, which made his job a breeze. The DTE electrician was also pleasantly surprised to see that he would not have to terminate any wiring and all he had to do was plug in the meter. I can't recommend JW Shaw Electric enough. 5 stars and now I see why Tesla recommends them for charger installation.
