I've been a EWC client for years (Roseville, Coon Rapids) and am so happy to have a location in my…read morecity. My first appt at this locationwas last month during their Grand opening. Today was my second visit with my wax specialist, Sara. She's warm, personable and knows her stuff. She had a shadow with her last month but today she was by herself. At both appts she did a mini consult (eyebrows) to make sure what I wanted with my shape. We have a game plan going forward to grow them out. Before and after treatment I was handed a mirror to point out areas that need attention and also to approve the final results. Waxing is not completely pain free but it's way more bearable compared to waxing at a hair salon. I typically use powder to fill in my brows. She showed me new products they offer to help with fly away hairs (eyebrow gel). They also offer baby powder and calming cream after your waxing service. After I was done, I was escorted back to the lobby to get preappointed and potentally leave gratuity. Making an appt is easy by phone or app. I purchase a service package and preappt for $$ perks. I get billed in 3 installments for Buy 9, Get 3 free...and then I'm good for the year. I get text confirmations and appt reminders. Due to covid, they prefer that you text when you arrive and wait in your car until your wax specialist is available. The facility is clean and modern. White walls/ floors with pops of red and black. Each room is similar. There is a stool, shelf and hook in the corner to place your belongings. There is a long table to lay on, with paper liner for cleanliness between clients. Even though it's a flat table, I find it relaxing to just lie back and close my eyes and get pampered.

I rarely write one star reviews but I have visited this place twice and left without getting my…read moreeyebrows done. The first time I visited was on a Thursday at 12. I was 13th in line. I pulled a number and I waited 45 minutes without my number getting called and had to finally leave, as it was a weekday and I had a work meeting at 1 pm. The second time, I arrived again on a weekday, this time on a Tuesday at 7:20ish. There were at least 9 people ahead of me and I immediately asked the threaders, 'do I have a chance?' Their policy states that last call is 7:45. The threaded responded 'yeah you do.' I had my ticket in hand and went to a store nearby. I returned before closing and there were still customers in the chairs having their brows threaded. It was minutes before closing at 8 and as mentioned, there were still women being threaded. I came with my number and the threaders now stated 'no we aren't taking anyone.' When I reiterated what I was told just some minutes before, they said 'you have to wait here.' I was in absolute shock. There is no sign written that you must wait there after you have already pulled a number for your spot in line. There was no notice of this when I had just spoken to the threaders when I asked if I had a chance. This felt like a convenient excuse in the moment. Only come here if you have 2 hours for your commute and to sit and stare at all of the other people waiting in line for an hour before your turn comes.

My regular lady at my routine salon was already booked for the day. Heather luckily had a 10am opening and I got an appointment. Without meeting her and not knowing her curly hair skills, she did a great job. She used my natural curls and 33 Bobby pins to create a cute "get it off my neck, it's hot outside, but leave a couple dangle around my cheeks" updo. No hot tools needed! Heather was friendly and professional. We conversed while she was working her magic. Her two daughters are going to school for my occupation and we found out we had some things in common too. She was done in 20 mins and I was slightly disappointed the appointment was over so quickly. Walking into the place is welcoming and clean. I love the high ceilings with crystal chandeliers. A fancy warehouse feel with sleek lines and open spaces. Customer products available for purchase at the counter and on display shelves in the waiting area. Easy to get to from hwy 65 and Main St (125th Ave, hwy 242). Plenty of parking. I would definitely recommend and may make another appointment for other services.

I will go to their other location in White Bear Lake as I am not so turned off that I won't try again, but I will not have it from Sarah (the owner). I received a 30 minute massage and 60 minute facial. I didn't appreciate her not telling me a single thing she was doing to my face beforehand, as most other places do. And this facial HURT. I was not aware of what I was getting or what was going on my skin. The massage was ok, but the spa music was playing on Sarah's phone and her phone kept buzzing, interrupting the music...not the most professional. I also did not appreciate her making comments about my body. I get it might be a cultural thing but saying I am "so skinny! You must be less than XXX pounds!"
