We dropped in here at the last minute on our last day in Wilmington. Wish we had discovered it…read moresooner. This is a great stop for unique gifts by Vermont artists (though there are items from elsewhere as well). On one side of the store you can find slabs of wood and some unique furniture pieces. On the other side is more of a gift shop with some incredibly beautiful hand-crafted wooden bowls, boards, utensils, and more. You can also find pottery by Vermont artists in varying styles. The ladies who were in the store were helpful, but left us alone to roam and discover. This is NOT a bargain place. If you're looking for a touristy stop for cheap souvenirs, move along. This is an artisan shop and the artists' know their worth. Expect to pay appropriately for the artistry and time it takes to create these beauties.

We ordered six individual salad bowls with a Wood duck image burnished into the side of each one…read more The work, both on the bowl and the image, was exquisite. Burned into the bottom of each bowl is John McLeod's signature, as well as care instructions and Vermont Bowl's logo. They are truly works of art and the wood! The wood is simply stunning. With Donna's expert help, we chose Yellow Birch in the Tulip shape, as the color would show off the image well and the shape would make it easy to burnish. The customer service was fast, the shipping was very reasonable, and the product terrific. We are so proud to give this hand-crafted gift to our good friends. We are sure they will order a matching family-sized salad bowl to go with. What a find!

There's no alcohol in the maple syrup, but the maple syrup is aged in bourbon barrels giving them a deliciously strong aroma that is bound to delight any whisky or bourbon fan. We heard today that Brent is getting a new sugar house. The old one was in need of repairs. I'm excited to see what he is able to produce in his new sugar house. Lorraine also does a tremendous job curating her store and bringing together very cute Vermont-themed or country home themed items. It's easy to find a gift for anyone here. They even have some wooden marble toys in the back to entertain your kid while you shop.

Amazing to have a store like this in the area!…read more Lots of vintage, antique, and one of a kind pieces. Incredible variety of beautiful, real furniture. Much better quality and better prices than the particleboard stuff that even places like Anthropologie sell now. They always have a gorgeous selection of art and especially mirrors, pieces by local artists, plus soaps, lotion, and packaged food and drink mixes from local New Hampshire artisans. Also a great mix of clothing, jewelry, and gifts. I've gotten some beautiful and one of a kind lamps, glassware, and big pieces of furniture here. They're constantly bringing in new inventory so it's always exciting to visit and see what's new.

I popped into Jasper Decor while waiting for my food order next door and while the store isn't huge, it's actually very small, it's packed with beautiful trinkets of all kinds; jewelry, knick-knacks, home decor, candles, room sprays, scarfs, prints, etc. It was a bit overpriced for my budget but I did pick up two very adorable cast iron elephant bottle openers; one for myself and one as a gift for my best friend. They still feel a little pricey compared to the ones I buy in Cleveland, but the store itself is so unique, that if I lived in Northampton, I'd probably purchase exclusively from here.
