Horrible workmanship. We used Encore for our garage floor. They did this in the middle of winter…read morewhen it was freezing. I asked if it was OK to do it when it was that cold out and was told "yes, it will be fine". One area began to crack and chip and when I contacted Encore, I was told it was moisture. I was provided numerous different excuses including that we should have done a vapor barrier which was never even mentioned to us. After numerous calls and hearing excuse after excuse from Encore, they finally sent someone out. He advised me that while he could not be sure if it was moisture related, there is a coating that they can use. Again, never offered or advised. He repaired it and said it should be OK but could chip again. He also advised that the repair will fade shortly and blend in with the rest of the garage. That never happened and I have a big circle on my garage floor (see photo) and wanted to charge me to fix the circle. Now I received a call again from Encore basically saying that they can repair but will need to do the entire slab done over again and I would need to pay for the supplies. I was also advised that my warranty did not cover the repair and Encore actually wanted to charge me for the repair that now looks terrible. My recommendation is to use another company because their customer service and lack of support and ongoing excuses are unacceptable. Their initial Sales Contact promises the world but after the fact and work is complete, it is a whole different story.

I reached out to a bunch of places on Yelp, but Peter from IDC Flooring was the first to respond and come by for an estimate the same day!! He was super helpful and we talked through what I wanted, I asked a lot of questions, and he walked me through the whole process step by step. He even gave me different brand and style options that are high quality. Everything moved fast like the paperwork was all electronic and easy and clear. Peter and his team started work within a few days. They were very detailed and easy to reach if I had any questions. The new flooring looks amazing and completely changed the condo. I'm so happy with how everything turned out. Highly recommend IDC Flooring!!! 5/5

We hired IDC from the fabulous reviews from other customers. They exceeded all of our expectations…read more We redid a few rooms of flooring (including one bathroom), changed out a lot of the trim, and upgraded the stairs from carpet to hardwood. Peter is probably one of the most professional contractors I've ever hired. He confirmed the start of the project the day before, showed up on time every day of our 3-4 day project, finished at a decent hour (so we could have our evenings to ourselves), and kept me informed about the progress of the project every step of the way. Everything was contracted and professionally handled in terms of invoicing. He made suggestions for how to improve the appearance of our home in certain places and gave us up-front pricing about every additional change we could add on if we wanted (we took all of his suggestions and so glad we did!). He paid such great attention to detail, fixing so many errors throughout the house that previously were there...things I didn't even know needed fixing! So many of our doors were not sealed correctly and the flooring was all a mess, they fixed it all for us. This was a big project for us - we saved for a whole year for this project - I am so happy we chose to work with IDC. I feel like he actually cared about us, something that is rare to find in people these days! Will definitely call them again for any future projects and will be referring to friends. Thanks Peter, we are truly so grateful for your talents!!!

Last time…read morehe repaired and refinished the wood floors in our old apartment, and this time he removed two layers of old, glued-down flooring from our new condo, cleaned the concrete subfloor, and installed new underlayment and engineered hardwood floors for us throughout the entire home, which was a very large project. He was knowledgeable, professional, reasonably priced, had amazing attention to detail, and worked quickly. The whole job (demo to final product) was done in under two weeks, and that included extra time for unforeseen issues, like the concrete subfloor needing to be grinded down and leveled in multiple rooms before floor installation so the planks would lay correctly. Ciprian went above and beyond to make sure the finished product looked amazing and to help us with all aspects of our project. He was kind and professional to our new neighbors and worked within our new building's construction/noise rules, he transported our flooring materials from the store to our new unit and carried them all up the stairs (50 lbs per box, 66 boxes), he finished our master bedroom first so we could move into that space early, and he even returned our leftover boxes of flooring to the store so we could get a refund for the unused products. On top of that, he bought extra matching door trim to fill in the gaps between the top of the new floor and the base of the doorway trim that the previous owners had cut way too high to accommodate the two old layers of flooring. The finished product looks amazing! We are very happy with his work and with the look and installation of our new floors. We highly recommend Ciprian, and we would absolutely work with him again.
