Nate and his crew did an outstanding job on my garage floor. Nate explained everything I needed to know about the process ahead of time. He seems very knowledgeable and is a pleasure to work with. The estimate for the job was very reasonable and the final cost to me was exactly what he quoted. Nate kept us informed during the whole process and did whatever he promised. Best of all, our new polymer/epoxy floor looks great! I'm very happy with my new floor. I will recommend Garage Store to my friends. read more

Garage Store - new garage floor - Flooring Near Me - East Dundee, Illinois

They turned my old cracked uneven garage floor into a smooth, clean, new looking floor in a half a day. No mess left behind, their employees were hard working and helpful. Mostly, they did what none of the other garage companies I tried to call did: THEY SHOWED UP! They are simply the best I've ever seen. Even my neighbor who had his floor done by a different company came over and said he wished he had known about The Garage Store before he had his floor done. This was worth every penny! read more

The Garage Store was great! We are so happy with our garage storage install and experience. I quoted 4 different companies and Garage Store offered us what we wanted at competitive pricing, we felt good about the service we would get, and we felt like the associate we worked with (Ray) listened to what we wanted and helped us envision our final product while also still using some of what we already have. The installers we had were great! They were friendly and communicated with us throughout the day. All around great experience! read more

Got a metallic epoxy floor for our business from here and we LOVE it! Actually, everyone loves it. Clients, employees, landlord, EVERYONE comments on how beautiful it is. Nate and his team worked quickly and efficiently to make our deadline and vision a reality. Would DEFINITELY recommend! He was thorough with our options, worked with our (very limited) schedule, and communicated well during the entire process. Pricing was very reasonable as well :). read more

Our garage floor paint was peeling up and our concrete was starting to crack and was getting divots due to years of salt and water seeping into the floor. We contacted the Garage store because of the great ratings. The crew did a great job! The floor looks outstanding after they ground the concrete and removed the original paint. The filled all cracks, etched/treated the floor and applied several coats of specialized paint with the sparkling sprinkled flakes that added a great texture. We are very happy with the professional job they did. We paid slightly more than six dollars per square foot. Worth every penny. read more

Garage Store - a clean and empty room - Flooring Near Me - East Dundee, Illinois

Garage Store was recommended to us by friends. We called around and found GS to be competitively priced. They were the first company to get back to us right away and even gave us an in person estimate. Other companies gave us quotes over the phone, but GS came out even tho we're approx 40miles from their business. They pointed out some concrete issues and helped us decide the best treatment so we could keep the costs down. The owner came out to help us when we decided to add more work, and he was very helpful in making sure they could finish the job asap. Overall we are very happy with the work they did, and our garage now looks great and is well organized. read more

I am beyond happy with Jim and his crew. I hired them to epoxy my garage floor and my walkway and front porch. I had "stuff" in my garage that I couldn't remove, so he provided a trailer and a crew to remove it all and put it back after it was done. It looks beautiful. read more

Garage Store Illinois came highly recommended and did not disappoint! Jim was on time and professional, communication was easy and clear, and installation was absolutely perfect. Customer focused and reliable garage organization. Highly recommended!! My family and I are very happy with our garage system.

We recently hired Garage Store to help us create a more functional space for our 3-car garage that was seriously disorganized. We couldn't be happier that we did! Not only was the team professional and highly skilled at problem solving and offering solutions, but they were on time and on budget. On top of that, they followed all Covid protocols. I called The Garage Store for a quote regarding the repair / sealing of my quickly deteriorating garage floor. They came in, measured, scheduled and completed the floor in my garage per specs. and quote. It wasn't an easy install as there were permanent work benches and stairs involved. They went around everything and it looked like the benches had been moved and replaced. I couldn't believe it. Very impressed and satisfied with the job. read more

These guys were excellent! They did a large basement project with a large and knowledgeable crew that was able to work efficiently.

I am absolutely critical in my reviews and that's because there are only a few businesses that you get what you actually pay for including work that is done right. You definitely get what you pay for using Garage Store. My experience with them was nothing short of extreme professionalism as well as great workmanship. I had two 4x8's and one 4x6 overhanging garage shelves installed in my garage. If you're familiar with this shelving system, it supports about 600-800 lbs when installed right into the joists in your ceilings. If you think you're handy and you order a set, it'll still take you a long time to figure out the right way to install these shelves. I took no chances as I didn't want to find my vehicles buried under a pile of crap from not being installed right. If you live in the city, your garage most likely has a sheet of drywall covering the ceiling and its also braced with with aluminum studs. Unless you're familiar with construction, finding the wooden ceiling joists are difficult even with a stud finder. Now, throw in a construction crew that didn't bother to do things with right angles and you'll never figure it out unless you cut holes in your ceiling. Jim was prompt during the initial quotation visit. They provided several options on the best way to secure the shelves. The day of the appointment, Anthony arrived and was early. He spent a good amount of his day working and making sure everything was right. He definitely knows what he's doing and didn't miss a beat installing the shelves. After sitting outside and watching him install the shelves, I was glad I didn't do it myself. He accommodated all my requests in securing it into the concrete wall and making sure everything was sturdy. If I didn't have that much junk in my home, I'd consider turning the shelves into a overhanging beds and renting out my garage. If you're in the Chicagoland area, these are the most reliable guys that can do the install for you even if you decided to purchase the shelves yourself through Costco or Home Depot. Having these pros do it is money well spent and for peace of mind. read more

I am very pleased with the work done by Jim and his crew. Our epoxy floor looks awesome! They even put epoxy trim around the garage which put the icing on the cake. They were fast, efficient and clean. It looks perfect. My husband was especially very pleased with the job (that doesn't happen often!). He already referred a co-worker to Garage Store. Thank you again - I highly recommend Garage Store. They are fairly priced, efficient and do great work. I love businesses that take pride in their craft and in providing customers with excellent work and service. Keep up the good work! read more

Garage Store nailed it! Seriously couldn't be happier with our project, from start to finish it was a great experience. Our project consisted of a 2 car garage and a separate single car garage, removal and disposal of old shelving, new flooring and new organization systems. Nic was fantastic to work with, very patient and knowledgeable. Assessed our space with attention to detail and brought great ideas without being pushy. I reached out to 2 other vendors and am so happy I went with Garage Store after a referral from a family member. Cannot recommend them enough! read more

After the pain in having our basement flooded and having take out the old carpet I was surprised that having the floor done by Garage Store was not only easier but cheaper then replacing the carpet! E-mailed them for a quote. Very responsive. Judy does a great job managing the front office and inquiries via electronic means. Actually, impressive as compared to most businesses. Ray came out this morning. Quieter guy but did what he needed to do. This place came as a referral from my next door neighbor. The downside and hence the reason for the lower stars (sorry) was the price. They were very expensive for the epoxy floor. I'm still questioning why the price was so high and really couldn't figure that out. I'm sure they do good work....my neighbor's garage floor looked great when we looked at it last week. As we told Ray, our plain concrete floor looks mighty fine. LOL. read more

This is a review late coming; sorry Jim. I needed my garage organized and brought in a couple different vendors. I liked what Jim Melchart and Garage Store presented. The outcome was great. I went from a 3-car garage that could only hold 2 cars to a true 3-car garage. I love the versatile siding where i can use numerous different hooks and holders to completely customize my garage. I should have taken some pictures. My family's bikes are all hanging on the walls along with all the garden "thingys". I even had them put some plywood in the crawl space above the garage along with a pull down ladder so now I moved all my seasonal stuff up there. And I had my garage floor re-done. It wasn't cheap, but two years later I am still very satisfied. If you want to take back you garage, call Jim at the Garage Store! - Sean McMillan read more

The Garage Store removed all of our old cabinetry, repaired 60 years' worth of pitting and significantly large cracks in our concrete slab, re-leveled our garage floor to drain properly, epoxy coated the flooring surface, painted the entire garage, and designed/installed organization cabinetry and lighting. Jim from the Garage Store was fantastic to work with and made great suggestions without trying to push additional costs, and provided us just what we needed in order to stay within our budget. His team was friendly and professional. They did a nice job of keeping the work areas clean and neat at the end of each day. They informed us about when they were starting and leaving as well as any precautions we need to take with the garage. The team made the entire process easy, simple, and quick (all completed in one week once scheduled).
