They offered me a cold bottle of water on arrival - much appreciated in this July heat! There was nearly 100 shellac options to choose from, all on pre-painted tips, which I love - "try" before you paint. Lihn was a seasoned pro - she quickly and effortlessly worked at my sad nails, striving for perfection on each one, giving as much time to detail as needed, and going over them before starting to paint. I really appreciate the attention to detail, as that's what makes the mani last longer! There are a few places in the 'hood that you can get a shellac a bit cheaper, but none beat the professionalism and cleanliness of this salon. I'll be back! read more

Beyond Beauty - Polish is "Next Stop... The Bikini Zone" (OPI gelcolor) - Eyelash Service Near Me - Toronto, Ontario

The Eyelash extension service is awesome in here. Techniques are great. Stays long. And the pricing is very reasonable. I would definitely return multiple times. I strongly recommend their 3D volume extension. Even though it hurts a little bit during the process because my eyes are sensitive, it's still worth it cause it looks so beautiful. The atmosphere is clean and nice, and the staff are very friendly. read more

Beyond Beauty - A Demi-set and after 20days a 3D volume touch up. - Eyelash Service Near Me - Toronto, Ontario

Really UNprofessional. 2 weeks ago left a voice message. Several days later, left ANOTHER one. Several days after that sent an EMAIL. NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING. If they are that UNprofessional about business, dont feel they can B professional about the work. read more

Beyond Beauty is a Vietnamese owned nail salon tucked into a small basement space on the south side of Bloor. Good deal here on Monday-Wednesdays you can get a mani and pedi for $30. Otherwise prices are good but fairly standard - $25 for a pedi and $15 for mani, or $35 for both. They just got brand new spa pedicure chairs last week which are absolutely phenomenal, the best ones I have ever sat in! I spent the entire 30 mins of my pedi playing around with all the massage features. Luckily, they let me continue sitting in the chair whilst my toes dried too, as no one else was waiting. The salon is quite small and somewhat cramped for space, but they do a good job of keeping it clean & tidy considering . The owner always offers me free bottled water and staff are friendly. read more

Much thanks to Lauren M. for her review of Beyond Beauty. I was looking for a local nail salon and I'm really glad I gave them a try. The salon is very clean, and the staff are warm and welcoming. Bottled water is a nice touch in the warm weather and they have top-of-the-line pedicure chairs. The place is tiny, so don't be put off if there's a lineup, it's worth a little wait. Prices are good for the quality of service you receive. You can certainly find something $5 cheaper, but you won't get the nice, unhurried service or the cleanliness that this place boasts (my visit was a Saturday at 2pm). They also immediately offered me my own file set to keep there - a very nice touch. To me, it's a bargain. Linh did my manicure & brows - she is a star! She spotted the fact that my last few brow adventures (at a mid-expensive spa) had left me with the wrong shape for my face and uneven arches. Even though I got a great manicure and pedicure, it's the brows that will keep me coming back... she really knows what she's doing! Linh also had just done lash extensions on a client when I came in - they were beautiful. The client had no makeup on and they looked lovely and delicate, not like the caterpillar jobs I'd seen on others. I will likely try the lash extensions on my next visit. All in all, a real gem of a place. Check it out! (PS - Because this spot only has three chairs, expect to move out of the chair when your pedicure's done. If prospective clients walk by and see you in the chair, they may think nobody's available and move on and the salon will lose business! So be nice and move your butt!) read more

Got a pedicure & my nail technician gave me the best foot massage. She was so careful with her painting job. It looks beautiful, will definitely come back ! read more

This is my favorite nail salon and I have been going for over 3 years now. Everyone is very friendly and talented at what they do. My usual service is a shellac mani and regular pedi. Prices are very reasonable. (They have a regular client punch card as well) Lihn who is the owner (along with her husband Jimmy) does eyelash extensions as well. She is the BEST in the city!! I am a makeup artist by trade and have come across clients who have amazing lash extensions. I always find out that it was Lihn who had done them. My favorite manicurist there is a woman named Tea, but everyone is good. I am never disappointed. read more

I love this place. It's easy to book on their online system. Book with Kiera if you have a choice. She has a high attention to detail and is very friendly. Chatty if you're in the mood to talk, or quiet when you just want a relaxing manicure. Highly recommend this spot! read more

I went here after being told she was the best!!! How ever wile getting my lashes done my eye got cut and I had to go on antibiotics! I called to let them no what happened and they ignored my calls when they decided to answer nothing was done over the phone and I was then told I needed to give a dr note to get my money back. I also had to leave work early and go there in person to do so. They would not do it on the phone my eye being infected and cut was not good enough. My eye was completely fine before. If there is anything wrong with your eye an experienced lash tech should not better. I was told my eye is fine when I am now under the care of a specialist to prevent further damage and infection. Not to mention I also work in the industry and do lashes my self. Be very careful where you go is clean and the proper steps are taken so this does not happen to you! read more

I was wandering around Bloor and Bathurst on the day before Good Friday and I went into 4 places to find a waxer to no avail. I went into Beyond Beauty (south side, just West on Bloor) and they took me happily. I think they're new-ish, although they said they had been there for 4 months, and they were empty. Whereas the other 4 places I walked into were jam packed. Anyway, this spot is a little whole in the wall kind of place. 3 or 4 of those pedicure chairs and a few manicure stations, curtained off area for waxing. I went in to get an underarm and eyebrow wax and they were great. The woman who did my wax was the owner and we chatted quite pleasantly. Everything was clean and reasonable pricing for that area. I think I paid about $22 or $23. They had a mani/pedi special for $30. read more

I've come here about 15 times over the past two years and have had a decent manicure each time. However, they have poor customer service, with today's experience being the tipping point: I booked a mani/pedi appointment for today, and got a call three hours beforehand letting me know that the technician was sick and we'd have to reschedule. Their tone was rude - no apology, no offer of a discount. I pointed out that the salon's own cancellation policy charges customers if they cancel same day, and therefore I should be offered an equivalent discount for them cancelling on me. I also explained that I had hired a babysitter so I could attend the appointment. After arguing with the receptionist after she repeatedly told me nothing could be done, I was finally told I'd get a call back. Instead of a call back, I got a terse text that said: "I've spoken to the owner and other than rescheduling with a discount there's nothing we can do". Again no apology, no kindness. This is typical of the reception at Beyond Beauty - unkind, rushed, and the opposite of the experience you'd want when relaxing at the nail salon. I booked another appointment at a different salon that I've decided is well worth the extra five minute drive. read more

Kim did an amazing job lifting my lashes. She is extremely caring, professional and patient, making sure I am satisfied in each step. I have normal length lashes that were very straight. The treatment gave them just the extra oomph I need! My lashes are now touching my eyebrows and no more eyelash curler. I highly recommend this place and Kim! read more

I've been going to this place for just about a year now, haven't always been loyal to them but have learnt my lesson and won't go anywhere else unless they don't provide the service I want. 1. For bio gel nails they have the real Bio Sculpture brand, not cheaper substitutes like Seaweed or whatever else is out there. Whenever I've tried a different place (because I moved), whatever they used burned when i put my fingers in the gel lamp (quite painful). I've never had that experience at Beyond Beauty. Their application methods are the best (in my opinion, and I've tried lots of places). Every time I've done my nails somewhere else, I've ended up going to Beyond beauty to get them fixed because they looked horrible after a week 3. They listen to you, the customer, and do everything they can to accommodate you. 4. Lihn is very knowledgeable in everything she does, I've been to a lot of places where they pretended to know but really had no clue. She recommended the lash extensions for me because my lashes are very fine and you can't see them unless I wear mascara; I was sceptical about them because i thought they'd look fake, feel uncomfortable or would rip my natural lashes out, but she explain the application to me and I met some clients in the store who had them done, so i tried it...and loved it, could wake up in the morning and still look damn hot LOL. Those who know me knew something was up but those who didn't just commented on what beautiful lashes I had. She applies it according you your face and your own lashes, said the medium length was good enough for me and that's what I went for with no regrets...I get them refilled when necessary but won't live without them now. There are two other girls that work with Lihn, one of them is fully trained in everything and has now started doing lashes as well (since Lihn just had a baby), she did my last set; I wasn't as satisfied with the as I was when Lihn did it, but she insisted I let her fix whatever I didn't like about them so I went back the next day and she fixed them for me at no extra cost, I was still not as happy because I'm just really picky about things like that and having someone else do it but they still looked good, and over the next few days I grew to love them more and now I'm scheduling a refill. It was the same with my Gel nails, Lihn used to do them but one day she was busy when I walked in so I decided to let the other girl do it, I wasn't satisfied at first but now she does my gel whenever I go, and when Lihn is there, she'll look over it and make sure it's perfect. The third girl that works there only does Mani's, Pedis and the shelaq, she'll probably be doing gel nails soon because the shelaq is very similar. Everyone has to start somewhere, but believe me Lihn won't let them do it unless they know what they're doing Overall, I love this place, my only disappointment is that they don't provide threading. It is a smaller place but don't let that discourage you, there's a bigger one right above that I tried as well, the woman wasn't very friendly when I went. They ladies at Beyond beauty are very good at what they do and they have very warm personalities, not "kiss-ass" to try and sell you services, they are very genuine, and only make good recommendations, Lihn will tell you if you don't need something. OK, hopefully my babbling makes sense...I love this place and the people that work there and want to make sure they get a stand against the bigger places. They have a very loyal client base because of how good they are and clients are willing to wait for their services. Gosh...I keep remembering things I want to type but I'm done... read more

This is my favourite nail spot in Toronto! The shop itself is very clean and cute, all the staff have always been very knowledgeable and nice, my shellac doesn't chip or lift even after two weeks (and I use my hands at work a lot), and it is pretty reasonably priced. I'm really excited to come back and try their lash services! read more

This is my favorite lash place! Perfect long lasting, beautiful lashes! Thy does an incredible job.

2.5 stars. I hesitated to leave only two but I really do feel this an "I've experienced better" salon. Aesthetically, it is a definite step-up from its neighbors. The other Koreatown nail salons tend to smell really bad (I hate writing this, but its true) and are terrible at honoring appointments or managing walk-ins. Beyond Beauty, on the other hand, has a very professional appointment system and an atmosphere I'd compare to The Ten Spot or a Yorkville nail bar. There is a coffee machine and a nice clean couch in the entry vestibule. The manicures, pedicures, and shellac are a little better than their competitors', but that is partially owing to the nicer environment and the neater, more streamlined bottles of nail polish. I do NOT, personally, recommend their lash services. I am Caucasian with long and thick but straight lashes. Their lash lift/perm kits do not seem to be made to flatter a variety of eye shapes and natural lash types, but rather seem best suited to short sparse Asian lashes. Their eyelash extensions tend to look very fake... not natural and fluttery, but more like strip lashes. Maybe they like it that way, but let's put it this way. If EVERY breast augmentation a surgeon does looks like tennis balls, you may question his skill and versatility. I've been 3 or 4 times and tried to communicate what I want differently/unlike before/unlike other clients, but I've also had trouble with the language barrier between me and the technician(s). I had a very hard time explaining what I liked and wanted to one technician who spoke very little English. Not a big deal with a pedi, but definitely a big deal with my eyes! This is particularly annoying because their website actually STATES they are skilled in designing lashes to flatter the individual eye. Anyways, your mileage may vary. read more

I've been coming here for years, and the esthetician's are lovely, always do a fantastic job with much care and detail. Shellac manicures last a long time, and the salon is clean and well kept. Front desk staff is awesome! Just had my lashes done, and they're beautiful. I love coming here and recommend it to everyone I can. They have a 15% off discount on Monday - Wednesday mornings for nails until 1pm, and a stamp card for future discounts. Honestly, best salon I've ever had my nails done at. Run here! read more

Yes the staff They are friendly and nice... but Em....the one who did my eyelash was kind of bossing and didn't do a good job. It costs me around $200 for an ugly set of 3D eyelashes, two eyes are not even balanced and some eyelashes are up and some are down, kind of weird and ugly, I am very disappointed and sad. I have been to many eyelash salons for years in different places, this time those eyelashes could be the ugliest sets I ever had. Have to give an update, its only past one day and major of my eyelashes are gone. I didn't using any oil products and also if didnt rub my eyes at all. And they still falling off like crazy....Wtf..... Never ever go to this store! read more

I started getting lash extensions here about 6 months ago after being referred by a friend whose lashes always looked unreal. I am now about as regular as they come, despite telling myself I'd only try it out for a few months. I can't give them up. Linh makes me look like a superstar. Every morning I wake up, and look alert and put together all because of the amazing work done at Beyond Beauty. No your lashes won't be all crooked, no there won't be giant gaps when they start shedding, no you won't see gross glue (those are the bad ones) and no you really have no idea they're there. I could go on forever, but I think you should just do yourself the favour of going and getting them done. read more

I think I was excited by the previous review, and thus felt let down. The Mani/Pedi combo (I was there on a Tuesday) was not $30, but $35. I did not get to sit in the chair while my toes were drying (even though I asked if I could) despite the fact that my friend and I were the only ones there. Also no offer of bottled water. All in all, not a bad experience (though we will have to see how long the pedi lasts), but not quite all that I hoped it would be. Just your basic run of the mill cheap pedicure. read more

I walked in for an impromptu pedicure. Luck had it that I got Kyra. I don't like to chat up a storm with strangers and she seemed to receptive and left me to my reading. She was friendly as made a little small talk. Kyra was very thorough sloughing away at months of built up dead skin since I asked for no cuticle clipping, she had a tougher job than if I allowed it. When I looked down at my feet a few minutes later, I didn't recognize them. Key thing was I didn't feel any pain or discomfort. She was gentle but thorough. The pain job was neat. She was meticulous and used a brush in acetone to wipe at errors I couldn't see. I'm so tired of places that rush to get to the next client. I was in a hurry to leave so Kyra came by to check if my nails were dry after a few minutes. read more

When I went to Italy I didn't have the patience to put on mascara and curl my lashes everyday so I was looking for eyelash extensions. A friend had recommended beyond beauty since she had been a regular customer of theirs for 2 years. At beyond beauty, I asked Linh for the individual natural lash extensions for both the top and bottom lashes. After the session, I was amazed at how natural and beautiful they looked! I was also impressed that they felt light. The other positive side was that I didn't need a refill until about 1 month. I admire Linh's work so much that I still go back whenever I can even though I now reside in Montreal, Qc. read more

With so many nail places in the area, it is refreshing to have such a great establishment. Clean and hygienic. I saw Kiera on another members recommendation and was glad I did! She really does pay attention to detail and is super friendly as are all the staff. I would definately recommend coming here. Cannot wait to come back read more

Nice girls, clean and great location. Great mani / pedi and awesome bikini wax job!

Had a horrible experience with the receptions. She was very short with me even though I came with my 5 month old son who is very well behaved. When I first got there I was about 15 minutes late and was told by her that my appointments had to be switched otherwise other people would have to wait and then I was made to wait over 30 minutes to get my mani after I already had my pedi done. All while my son was in my arms. Thankfully he was patiently waiting and then fell asleep. It's appalling. I walked out of there so upset and I didn't even get to complain to her as she left on her break right when I was about to pay. Crappy, crappy customer service. read more

Clean and careful. I like the fact that the place has only a few customers at a time and doesn't smell of formaldehyde (unlike the usual nail salon). A little more expensive, but worth it, read more

I have been getting eyelash extensions for a few years now, and Beyond Beauty is my absolute favorite place. They stay on the longest and look the best. I have recently developed an allergy to the glue used (this happens, has nothing to do with the salon), and Linh has gone above and beyond, specially ordering me glue for sensitive eyes, and emailing me making sure my eyelashes were ok. This salon is clean, and does a great job, but the customer service is what really makes it special. I highly recommend it. Also, booking online makes it so easy to fit into my schedule. I would say the only drawback is that it is a bit expensive, compared to other places, and they will be raising the prices in April. read more

Thy does an absolutely amazing shellac mani. She took a lot of time & is really, really good. Place is clean, quiet & very professional. They also took me as a walk-in which was very appreciated. My mani from here lasted forever & I got lots of compliments. I would go back in an instant, really recommend & only wish it was closer! read more

All I can say is ... FINALLY. Finally a nail salon with gives the OUTMOST customer service. Yesterday I came in for a Spa Pedicure in the evening. Monse was the nail technician who did my toes. She was AMAZING. Even though I was the last client of the day... she still took her time, and I didn't feel rushed at all. AMAZING job on my pedicure. She even had on these amazing lashes that we're done by Linh (owner of salon) herself! I'm now even interested in getting lash extensions there based off her beautiful volume lashes! They offer coffee, tea, water, and comfortable massage chairs while you're getting pampered! Why does Beyond Beauty stand out compared to other salons? I've been to many handfuls of the nail salons and spas, constantly searching for a place that gives amazing service, that's HYGIENIC (that seems to be an issue in 90% of salons), and beautiful results! BUT Beyond Beauty is Triple Threat!!! I told all my friends about this gem, and I'll definitely be back soon! read more

I always go here to get my nails done even though there's a lot of nail salon near my house. Service here is amazing. They're very hospitable and ask you if you want water before anything. I also got my eyebrow waxed the other day by Monse. It was fast and it didn't hurt at all. She's really nice too. I'll be coming here often. 5/5 read more

Great place in spite of the small size! Very accommodating, even though I did not have an appointment. Very organized and clean! Wonderful, professional pedicure. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Free cold bottled water (I hope that the owner considers an environmentaly friendly alternative in the future and switches to cooler and paper cups...). Very comfortable massaging chairs. I came because my usual spa is not open on Sundays - and am a convert: will be coming here from now on (and will be sure to make it a habit to make an appointment!). read more

I came upon this salon randomly. It was before the long weekend and every place I've called that offered mink eyelash extension services was fully booked or closed. When I got to the salon, I was greeted right away. The salon is small but clean. Everyone was super friendly. Since my first visit, I've been here several times and recommend their eyelash extensions. Linh is amazing. I could really tell that her expertise on eyelash extensions is way beyond any other technician I've dealt with in other salons. She really gets down to what look you're trying to achieve and if your eyelashes can work with it. I have really thin lashes and wanted a ton of volume. Technicians would usually take this opportunity to upsell and pile on as many lashes (for the additional price) in order to achieve the look you are going for. Linh takes pride on the quality of her work. She will actually tell you if your lashes are too weak to handle the amount/weight of the lashes and let you know that if you go ahead with it anyway, you should expect eyelash extension shedding sooner than with the recommended option. Linh checks up on you every now and then during the appointment to make sure you're doing okay. To be honest, most the of the time I just doze off. By the end of it all, Linh brings out a mirror for you to check out the extensions. I need to note that it's a huge deal for me if none of my bottom lashes are stuck together with the top outer corner lashes. Linh is very careful with applying the undereye pad in the beginning of the appointment to ensure all your bottom lashes are secure and out of the way. I always have no problem opening my eyes :) I'm never disappointed with the results and will always recommend Linh! It's a good added touch to get a nice cold bottle of water after the appointment as well :) read more
