This was my second time coming here. I got the shellac French manicure and the nail technician did an excellent job. She took her time and really paid attention to my nails. She was also honest and told me that a spot on my nail which was darker than the rest of the nail from breaking that finger would show through the polish. I also needed my appointment time changed due to the heavy snow and they were very accommodating. $39 cash price for such a good job is a great deal. What i also liked is that the place is clean and the technician was focused rather than being too chatty or distracted. A+ i will only come here now! read more

This nail salon came highly recommended by several people at my office, unfortunately I am less than impressed. My gel manicure was done as I was getting my pedicure and it felt rushed and sloppy. One finger was peeling even before I left the salon and I had to get it fixed. Less than 24 hours later two more fingers have peeled right off. I've visited this nail salon twice and both experiences were really interesting. The first time my friend and I made a reservation because my sister said they get quite busy around 5pm. We set an appointment for 5:30pm and it was surprisingly empty. The salon is actually quite clean and welcoming when you arrive. It has a bit if a luxury/modern feel and I very much like the atmosphere. We were greeted by the workers to be seated next to each other as we selected our nail colours for shellac. I was happy with the price and quality of the shellac although my friend didn't think the quality was good as she felt the personal who was attending to her missed a spot on her nails since there was a tiny hole, almost like someone poked it with a toothpick. She brought it up and they gave her the option of re-doing her nail but my friend declined as it was a small request. My next visit was a more spontaneous one after the going to the gym. I popped by a little after 7pm, surprised that the ladies were cleaning and almost heading home even tho it says they close at 8pm. Maybe that was the end of their shifts and they were free to leave but I felt like I was intruding as they were closing up. I was then greeted by an enthusiastic young lady who was eager to help me which put my doubts at ease. I wanted my nails short but she clipped it a little too short that it hurt/irritated my fingers for a couple of days. However, like what happened to my friend, the shellac chipped a little easily even tho I had them done no longer than over a week. I enjoyed the service and the price is not bad (25 dollars cash) if you do shellac and they clean your cuticles; but the easy chipping of the nails is a bit if a disappointment. read more

Great price, clean interior and awesome customer service. My manicurist was very meticulous and didn't rush the appointment even though I came in 40 mins before closing time and it took a couple of tries to get my old shellac polish off. I can't say how much I appreciated the manicurist taking her time and ensuring the finish product was professional. They have a huge ran of shellac colors, and I can't wait to go back and try one of the many colors. I notice they have sterilizer machines and they also use a spray on your hands to prevent staph infections. The interior was clean and bright, and they had Netflix going with subtitles. Let me preface this by saying that I am extremely good at doing my own nails and I'm very meticulous about it. The only reason why I pay to get my nails done is if I'm too busy to do them myself and I have to attend a special event. I've been to Bubble Bath about 3 times based on the great reviews here on Yelp. They're decent but not excellent. The salon itself is very clean and relaxing ambiance with quiet music, and the tools used are clean or disposable - this is all great. They have a very large selection of shellac polishes, which I like because while I own many nail polishes, there are always colours that I don't have. My gripe is that in my 3 visits, I have yet to be wowed by the application of the polish. Each time, I have had a different nail technician and I expect a better job but they're about the same. For example, I've experienced flooding of my nail as well as polish on my skin. These are both fairly minor issues, but issues nonetheless. What bothers me the most is that they don't paint the whole nail - there's always a visible gap of bare nail on both the left and right edges and sometimes there's a large gap between the cuticle and where the polish starts (I like when the polish is really close to the cuticle edge without touching it). I always ask them to repaint my nails if I see this, and I'm thankful that they do fix it every time. Price-wise, it's slightly cheaper than other nail salons in Toronto that I've been to. If you're not super anal about your nails like I am, you'll probably love this place. Overall, I would give it a 3.75/5. The price is good, the colour selection is diverse and the salon is well-kept. I have been coming to this nail salon on and off for several years since it is conveniently located near my office. Their shellac manicures generally don't seem to last as long as other spots I've been to but due to its convenience I kept coming back. However my last experience has guaranteed that I will never return to this spot. After just a week and a half my nails started to chip and bubble. When I went in to enquire and see if I could get them fixed the head lady at the front was incredibly dismissive and said they don't do touch-ups after a week. In the middle of explaining this to me the phone rang; she picked it up mid-sentence completely ignoring me as I stood there. As a nail salon who's business is dependent on repeat customers I was shocked by her behaviour and complete disinterest. I will definitely not be coming back. read more

Yelp reviews indicated that a shellac change is $25 which is reasonable. To be certain, I checked upon my arrival and was told that it was $25. After they started on my nails the person who appeared to be the owner added that it was $5 more to have shellac removed. Clearly, I should have been told that on the phone or upon arrival; I couldn't very well rip off the foils and walk out at that point. TVs are set up for people having pedicures but not manicures. Modern décor. Same English-themed clock as my nail place in London! Was there a sale? Most people will be able to find something that pleases among the shellac colour selections. Some are OPI. I didn't catch the name of the technician who worked on my nails but she did a great job. The woman next to my having her nails done commented twice that mine looked great. The tech was very thorough. They don't use machines to remove shellac, only acetone. Neither the tech nor the owner spoke perfect English so you may need to repeat yourself. This is a small price to pay to live in a country that welcomes immigrants and supports them in their attempts to prosper. No tax if you pay cash. I was given a gift certificate for a mani, pedi, and facial. It's a mixed review, hence the 3 stars. The mani chipped the next day, and by day two all 10 finger nails were chipped! I'm sure if u go back they would fix it, but it speaks to the very poor quality and I love far so it would be a waste of my time! The pedi was alright. While the toenails looked good, the lady didn't spend much time on my heels that still had lifted bits of dry skin on them when I left. The facial was AMAZING! I have been going to Bubble Bath for shellac/gel manicures every two weeks for the past 2 years and have been very happy with their service. I have a few favourite technicians, but everyone has been good to great in my experience. I don't experience chipping or lifting very often in between manicures (although it happens to one nail on occasion, which is to be expected now and then). In order to prevent this, I find that choosing a gel polish by OPI helps (you can tell the brand by the label on the "colour chart" of sample nails they give you to choose from), as does never soaking my hands in water (I use rubber gloves to do dishes and cleaning around the house, and keep my hands mostly out of the water when taking a bath or swim). I get monthly shellac/gel pedicures here in the summer, too. Never ever have I experienced a chip or lifting on my nails. And sitting in their massage chairs while watching whatever is on their screens from Netflix makes the experience super relaxing. I recommend this place to everyone! read more

Was so awful! I want a refund. I went in to get a wax before México and I warned the woman I had sensitive skin and j needed something more gentle like a sugar scrub and then she started waxing normally and now my legs are COVERED in red little bumps. I'm in so much pain and so irritated. It absolutely ruined my vacation and I would never go back for a wax at this place. Came here for walk in manicure last week Friday and shellac removal. Had to wait about 10 minutes. Service was great and attentive. Removal was gentle. they soak and scrape a little. I had concerns they would be too rough on my nails and the lady adjusted to my concerns. My regular manicure looked great. It is a good size place separate area for pedicure manicure and dry stations. Takes visa. Overall great service and would come back again. Update: June 14, 2017 visit. I have been here several times since my initial visit. I have to say it depends on the technician that you get. I had a few good experiences. A few times the technician cut my cuticles and it was hurting badly after. My last visit on June 14 was not that great. I came in for a French shellac manicure. The Korean lady that I had didn't like answering my questions, had attitude and didn't want to accommodate my request for a second coat. When I pointed out to her that she missed a spot, she refused to touch it up. When she was applying the French tips she seemed exasperated that I asked questions and wanted the line a bit thicker. Overall she did an OK job but because she used a very light white for French tips I ended up having to put my hands in the UV light 4-5 more times than usual which I didn't like because of the overexposure to the UVA. The manicure ended up looking OK but the next day the corner of one tip started shipping. I noticed that they didn't use CND shellac or OPI shellac and used some other brand. They have that in the salon but they didn't use those products. That's fine to use other brands but it doesn't seem the quality is there since it chipped the next day and that normally doesn't happen with a shellac manicure. The person that sat beside me also was doing a shellac manicure and there was some problem after they applied it and after the topcoat went on they noticed. I think it was bubbling or something and what ended up happening was they had to remove it and she had to do a shellac manicure all over again and they got another technician to do it. I've never seen that happen before and I felt so bad for the other girl. If that was me I would be so pissed at the wasted time. That doesn't seem to suggest to me that they know how to do a shellac manicure. Only a few salons truly know how to do a proper shellac manicure and unfortunately this is one of the salons that does not. Overall an OK place if you're looking to do nails but with so much choice out there there are definitely other salons. read more

I had better experience for Shellac and Gel manicure with the same price. I've been here twice after reading the good reviews. Both times they didn't bother to do my cuticles. Shellac lasted only one week and Gel not only two weeks. Both shellac and gel had chipped after a few days so I think they use cheap material. Right across the street from my condo, I needed to get a gel mani and regular pedi done stat! This place is really nice in side - clean and really really great staff. They were so nice and chatty. They did a seriously good job on my mani and pedi and finished quite quickly. Great foot and hand massage as well...and my feet felt smooth and moisturized for 2 days. The only thing it's keeping me from a full star rating is that the price is more expensive than most nail salons in the city. Love it! New favorite place for nails. I had a shellac manicure (removal of prior shellac) and a regular pedicure (and removal of prior shellac on toes too). The girls who did it were FANTASTIC - insanely great attention to detail, a fantastic massage, no feeling rushed and terrific results. They were gentle and good with removing my prior shellac, which isn't always the case - I was very pleased and impressed. The place is nicely decorated and feels very clean. The chairs have massage pads which gave me the best "chair massage" experience I've had so far (really great push on trigger points). The color selection for shellac was fantastic - the blue-grey for my shellac hands was the perfect shade that I haven't seen in other places before. Fantastic! First time trying out this place since my usual downtown stop hired a new nail 'tech' that did a worse job than I could've at home... I went in with super outgrown gel nails and a friend (who wanted a mani-pedi), and asked for a new shellac manicure. Really great colour collection! They placed us on the upper level on two massage chairs meant for pedicures, and the nail techs started work right away while we watched some Netflix overhead. After wrapping both my hands in polish remover + foil + cling wrap (never had this last part done before), my tech informed me we would be switching to a manicure station instead - fine by me, didn't have to tilt to one side the whole time. My old polish was apparently really stubborn and required around 20 min of soaking. My tech - Dana (sp?) - was very gentle and meticulous, although my sensitive cuticles didn't stand up to the cutting and it stung for awhile after - I guess I could've requested for this to be skipped. After so much work scraping and filing and buffing off the old stuff, I was dreading the mounting bill... but they ended up not charging for shellac removal at all! The different colour I picked for an accent nail was also free of charge. Just $25 and we paid cash + tip. The application was followed by lotion and a nice hand massage. The colours turned out great (I was a little surprised as there didn't seem to be a clear topcoat, but we'll see if this lasts as long as my previous manicures). Service was friendly + polite, the place was clean + comfortable (sterilizing machines noted), and you really can't ask for a better price for this location. Was in desperate need of a gel manicure removal and reapplication. Based on the Yelp reviews and proximity to my hotel I decided to give this place a try. Loved the atmosphere and cleanliness, my 3 star rating is based on the initial harshness I experienced with the owner. I had a regular gel manicure that had to be soaked off. At first it seemed as if she did want to do my nails because she claimed "it was a different type of gel". Now as a frequent nail salon customer I know and have tried all types of different nail services but if I have to explain to you that the removal of my gel color is the standard removal I believe that you are just not interested in my patronage. Been coming here since early 2013 and always highly recommend this place to friends, family and even strangers! Jessica, the owner and receptionist, is such a pleasant host! I absolutely love her. She is very accommodating and ensures the best service. All her technicians are absolute dolls! Pleasant, professional, polite and amazing! I had a really good experience at Bubble Bath Nails. Despite arriving about half an hour before their closing time on a Friday evening, they were kind enough to fit me in for a pedicure. I had requested the basic pedicure, but still received a nice leg massage and scrapping of the footbed (which some places don't do if you only get the basic option). The salon seemed quite hygienic and the technicians used the instruments which I brought with me (for sanitation purposes), and some salons get confused when I do this. They kept my tea filled and they also had free wifi. This will be my nail salon of choice in the area! read more

I've actually visited a couple of different nail/spa places with my wife - this was our first time at this particular nail/spa. Initial reactions: clean, modern, and spacious. We did not have an appointment booked, but they were able to fit us well within 5 minutes. My wife and I were seated next to each other, as we both received pedicures. Now, as mentioned before, I've experienced my share of nail/spas, but might I say, this was by far the best. The girls were friendly, professional, and VERY METICULOUS. I'm very particular about my heels, but I have no complaints. My heels ended up being so soft, and were just glowing at the end of the appointment. Even a week after, my wife and I still find our feet in great condition. We both agree that we found our favourite nail/spa shop to go to in Toronto. Will definitely go back! read more

Not worth your money and time. Went there to get shellac manicure, the place is clean and modern, but turned out to be just another average nails place in terms of quality. Tiny hairs/fluffs were stuck in the polish layers, uneven around cuticles. And is shellac supposed to start peeling off around the edges of the nail on the 3rd day??? After going to this place a couple of weeks ago, I'm astonished that it has such good reviews. I know the standard for mani-pedi services in Toronto is quite low, but this is beyond me. I went for a spa-pedicure ($50+tip and taxes) and it was NOT worth the money. Pros of my experience: I didn't get any infection, so I assume they do sterilize the tools they use. However, this is not even a pro, this is an obligation on the part of any service provider. The foot massage I was given was nice, if very brief. Also, the tech did an okay job at painting my toes, which is also something I expect anyone above the age of 10 to manage on another person's nails. Finally, I was offered tea when I came. That's nice, but also something expected of a place that charges you $50+ Now the cons: - the tech did not even introduce herself upon meeting me, just told me to go to the seat straightaway -did not inquire about any aspects (problematic zones) I thought she should pay attention to -asked me if she can "shorten the nails a bit" on my toes, I said yes. "Shorten a bit" meant completely removing the free edge, which for me means a danger of ingrown nails in the future. Also, it was clear that I had been maintaining the squoval shape but she completely disregarded that - she did not pause not once to ask me if I was satisfied with the job she was doing or if there were any improvements she could make - again, after painting my toenails I was asked to go to the dryer at once - basically told to leave the seat (I assume another appointment was on the way) - the "spa" pedicure's only difference is that they also use a scrub and, I assume, a foot massage - which was very brief. Not worth the price tag at all. I can get an awesome 30-minute foot massage for less that 50 dollars. - my massage seat wasn't working and the tech did nothing to fix the situation/offer another seat/offer a substitution. - very poor quality of the pedicure overall, it's only been a couple of weeks and and already looks like I could really use another one, and I'm really good at upkeep so a good pedicure usually lasts me around 3 months (with me touching it up from time to time of course) Overall, not worth it at all. I felt rushed and the quality is subpar for the price. I'm neither returning nor recommending this place. read more

So far I've only been to this shop once and the first impression was very good. The atmosphere felt very cozy, professional and the workers were very welcoming to me. I really felt that the workers had great relationships with the clients that they were working with beside me. The worker that helped me was a very cute and outgoing woman who had so much to talk about! It was such a great and fun experience, and I am for sure coming back to get my pedi done again. Decided to get a pedicure during my short stay in Toronto and this place was a short brisk walk from my hotel. It's so nice to walk into a nail salon and all the staffs speaks and understands fluent English and there was no talking among themselves in a language you couldn't understand; if you are from the states you know what I am referring to. HORRIBLE! I had a shellac french mani and pedi done last Thursday. The staff at that time seemed friendly and polite. I left feeling happy and even gave a generous tip. However after a few days the paint on my fingertips started to chip. I've had shellac many times before but have never had it chip on me. Finally I decided to call yesterday, exactly a week after, to ask to have it fixed. I came in today and the attitude was totally different from last time. The lady was rushing to fix my 3 fingers. Then as I was getting ready to leave I was told I had to pay $10! Their excuse was that if I had return within a weeks time it would've been free, but because I came a day after a week they have to charge me for the service! Does it not matter that I called to book an appointment yesterday? That had they done a good job in the first place I wouldnt have to come back in a week to have it fixed? I have a life and work....I dont have time to visit a nail salon as I please. Worse thing is that as I am writing this review, one of my nail has already chipped! The same day it was "fixed". After years of biting my nails, and then getting acrylic/biogel extensions to cover them up, my nails were left extremely thin, brittle and damaged. I came to bubble bath nails for my first time, and saw Vanessa for biogel nail extension removal + shellac manicure and she PROPERLY removed the nail extensions (unlike other places I've been to where they just rip them off). She took her time and used caution and care to ensure no further damage was done to my already damaged nails. She checked in with me throughout the entire process to make sure I was happy with everything, and constantly checked in with me to make sure I was comfortable and wasn't in pain. She gave me lots of advice and tips on how I can start to repair the damage to my nails. From now on, I will ONLY be coming to see Vanessa because unlike any other nail technician I've seen, she made me feel like she truly cares about me and the state/health of my nails - rather than providing bad advice just to make an extra sale.
