I am so very glad that I finally gave in and tried out false lashes (thanks to the Cinderella Lash give away on YELP) This was my very first time trying Cinderella lashes (temporary clusters) and I am sold! Irene, the owner, greeted me warmly and led me into the procedure room where I was met by the sounds of cool Jazz (Irene's a fan) and a super soft treatment table. We discussed options, my physical limitations (hooded eyelids and glasses) and the look that I wanted (full cat eye). The procedure was quick (20-30 minutes). Since I was a newbie, Irene talked me through the entire procedure. At the end Irene added a few more lashes to perfect the look, she is meticulous and gentle. I've tried strip lashes before and they were heavy and uncomfortable, I didn't enjoy them at all. My experience with the Cinderella lashes are a totally different story. They're so light, sometimes I forget that I'm even wearing them. Irene did an excellent job getting me the look that I wanted. I got my lashes done (for the first time) almost 4 weeks ago - and Irene was great. She was gentle, quick and made the process very comfortable. These are synthetic mink lashes, and I wasn't sure what to expect. I got the mini set, which took about 50 minutes. Took a little nap. After I was done, my eye felt a tiny bit heavy, but felt very natural. I took care of the lashes as instructed by Irene for the first week and half and then I slacked off. Most of the lashes lasted about 2 weeks. I still have a few after 4 weeks. I was worried that more of my natural lashes would fall out than usual, but it was pretty natural. Couple things to consider: It's spring, and some days I wake up with puffy eyes (allergies). So when my lids are puffy, the root of the synthetic lashes dig in a little (they are a tad stiff) I had to pluck out a few lashed because of this. A couple time the synthetic lashes fell in my eye. And getting a regular lash in your eye is bad enough; a thick, synthetic lash is VERY annoying. I don't think I will do this regularly, but I'll certainly come back to Irene when I get t done agian. read more

Amazing !!! I got my lashes done with Irene for the first time and I have to say that I am really really happy with how they turned out. I was hesitant to get my lashes done for a long time because I was afraid it would be over dramatic on me or I wouldn't like the look. I finally decided to give it a try and I asked Irene for something natural and it's way better than I expected! I got the cat eye look in the medium length and would highly recommend it. The procedure was super comfortable, I had a hard time trying not to fall asleep haha. Comfort wise in terms of the lashes is pretty good as well. My only complaint is that my long hair tends to get trapped in the lashes but I have that problem when I wear falsies too. The lashes haven't fallen out of moved since I got them a week ago but I do take the time to brush them and clean them with the care kit Irene provided. They were light and gave me that pop in my look without needing a lot of make-up. They were my first try so I got a bit careless and rubbed my eyes early because I forgot they were there. Nevertheless, they have remained good until middle of the 3rd week which is right at the recommendation is for fills. Unfortunately, extensions are not for me at the moment. I came here for a fill after reading Yelp reviews and getting a disappointing classic set at another lash studio. I opted for the hybrid set and LOVED my lashes, I received many compliments on how they looked so full and natural. They felt how lash extensions are supposed to feel - weightless - which was the exact opposite of how my original set felt (done at a different lash studio). The application was relaxing and I love that she used gel pads instead of tape, the bed was comfy and home studio quite and relaxing, I actually fell asleep at one point. It has been 10 days since I got my classic mini set of extension and this morning when I checked in the mirror, the extensions on one of my eyes have almost all fallen out. I took good care of my lashes, I brushed everyday, I didn't not wet them for days, I did not rub my eyes. I have had my lashes done before with different lash technicians and I have to say that Irene is the most gentle and professional with lash extensions. She is very knowledgeable regarding the different types of lashes and styles and she gives her honest opinion on consultation. I have thin, asian lashes that point down and we were able to customize a set that works to keep my original lashes curled and to have more volume. Their hours are also very flexible and thus booking my appointments for refills were never a problem. I was also worried that removing the lashes would leave my older lashes damaged but her work is very neat and no lashes were ever clumped. When I had them removed, my lashes were in the same condition as they were before I got lash extensions. I am more than happy with the service they provide, and don't cheap out on lash extension services because nothing is more heart breaking than damaged lashes!! read more

Irene is extremely professional and takes time to explain what type of lashes will work best for you and your preferred style. As other reviewers have mentioned, she has a very light touch and you hardly feel her working on your lashes at all. I did the Classic Deluxe and this process only took about 1 hour to finish. I was asleep the whole time while Irene worked wonders and by the time I woke up she was done! I also have to mention that the bed you lie on is super comfortable and lulls you to sleep right away. Visited her once based on all wonderful reviews it received and then I was completely unsatisfied. I did eyelashes extensions for about a year but have never experienced what I had at her place. I took good care for my lashes and usually speaking they lasted for about 3 to 4 weeks. At this place, More than half of my lashes fell off on the first 3 days. No joke. 8 lashes drop on the first day and 10 on the second and another 10 ish on day 3. Oh my! She needs to receive more training rather putting her customers as guinea pigs. I won a pair of mini classic lashes from a contest the company was holding in January (via Yelp). It was my first time doing eyelash extensions and the owner Irene guided me through the process. We sat down and chose a style of lash, length talked about volume etc. I chose a full cat eye c curls. The appointment took around 1 hour. The beginning was a bit uncomfortable since I had not done it before and my eye nerves were twitching. However, as time passed I got more familiar and I think I even dozed off a couple minutes during the lash application. Irene taught me how to care for my lashes and provided me with a spooly (to comb my lashes) and a cleaner. She was very professional and friendly. I applied my lashes 5 days ago and I wanted to wait a bit to write the review. The lashes turned out great after the application, it was subtle but very nice. My eyes got a bit red from the lash application but the redness went away in 20 minutes. Lashes are still great after 5 days. Was told it will last T least 2 weeks. Hardly notice or feel that the extensions are there!!! The place is easy to find. There is limited parking but free in their parking lot (4 cars) I managed to snag a spot. Free wifi and a small but adequate waiting area. Will consider coming again to visit Irene again. read more

Had my lashes done last week and I am still loving them! I've done eyelash extensions before but didn't have a great experience and I decided to give it another chance, with the opportunity given to me by Irene! Booking an appointment is super easy such that you can call, email, book on their website, or even send a text to the number on the site. Finding the building may be confusing at first by it is literally behind a Starbucks and the building says "Health & Wellness Therapeutics". They are located on the second floor and once you get up the stairs, there's literally only one room you can go to and you're at the front desk! A really nice receptionist seated me and offered me a drink while I waited watching Friends on the TV (excellent choice btw). Once Irene was available, I went into another room and got comfortable. We started off with a consultation with the type of look I wanted to go for. I decided to do a soft cat eye, focusing more on the lashes at the end of my eye. Irene thoroughly explained how she'd achieve this look and suggested that I use L-lashes since I have chubby hooded eyes. With these lashes, they wouldn't touch my lid and bother me. I was impressed with this consultation since I didn't know there were so many choices that I could pick from! Irene really knows her stuff and gives good suggestions if you don't know what you want. Once we decided on my look, she laid me down and got working right away. To be honest, the whole experience was just so relaxing. With my eyes closed and her working VERY gently on my eyes, I literally fell asleep and snored - yes, that's how relaxing it was. It was so relaxing that I fell into a deep sleep (very embarrassing on my part). I was very happy with the final look that I'll be coming again soon! I won a pair of the Classic Mini Set eyelash extensions ($60 value) with Lash Therapeutics. It was my first ever eyelash extension experience so I was pretty excited to give it a try. Irene, the owner, educated me about different types of eyelashes and styles. She inquired about styles that I was interested in and recommended me a style which best suited my personal preference and what worked with the Classic Mini (since it was not a full set). I went for a subtle cat-eye where she focused primarily on the edges of the eyes in order to flare it out and open up my eyes. It was a pleasant experience and since I didn't have the full set done, she wrapped up everything within an hour. It was also painless, which was a plus! I also received a free eyelash extension cleanser to help me maintain my lashes for the next month. The business is within the Health Wellness Therapeutics (by the same owner, though separate businesses), therefore you would have to book by appointment only in order to get your eyelashes (or hair extensions) done. I won a pair of the volume lavish set and got them done around 3 weeks ago. Wanted to wait a couple of weeks to write the review to see how the lashes hold up. Irene said that that the volume sets typically lasts 3-5 weeks. When I just got them, it also took some time to remember not to scratch/rub my eye. After 3 weeks, about 1/2 of the lashes have fallen off. It's unfortunately because I have oily lids and sleep on my side which are in not my favour and accelerates loss. Although there's only half of my extension left, I still think it looks pretty good. Lucky the lashes that are left are pretty evenly distributed across my lid. It's gone from a more dramatic to natural look. The appointment itself took around 2 hours (just shows how meticulous she is). Irene was very knowledgable, gave recommendation on the curl and length of my lashes. It was my first time getting lash extensions and so she explained the process and made me feel at ease. She was so gentle during the application process I could have taken a nap. At the end of the application, she gave a spoolies to brush and clean and maintain the lashes. She educated me on the different types of lashes (thickness, curl, length, etc.) and the process. We then decided together on a combination of two different thicknesses, the curl, and the length. I usually get my lashes done by the wonderful Posh Lash in Vancouver, but I was back in Toronto for New Years and wanted a more dramatic set for the occasion. I decided to go here based on all the 5 star reviews. During the appointment, my eyes stung so bad from the glue she was using it was incredible. I've never, ever had this problem at my usual place. Irene was also very heavy handed trying to get a fluff out of my lashes that I felt the lashes poking into my lash line as she prodded around. The lashes she gave me were much too heavy for my natural lashes to handle. She simply did not have enough experience to take what I was asking for (a more dramatic look) and use my natural lashes to dictate it. Several people commented on how my lashes looked heavy and droopy. Kept the lashes on for a week, went back to my usual place in Vancouver. They told me she used waaaaay too much glue and that she glued the lashes too close to the base. Usually, extensions are applied not directly at the base of your natural lash to allow room for growth and to make sure no glue gets on your lash line. My usual technician said I was lucky I didn't have damage. Never going back. Go to someone who is actually certified. And if you think your lashes are good, I implore you to go to an actual studio and see what they say about her techniques. read more

From thin, non-existent lashes to voluminous, curly lashes; these are the incredible results I got at Lash Therapeutics! The facility is really clean and vibrant with welcoming staff. They asked me if I wanted to drink anything and, instead of a small cup of water, they gave me an entire water bottle! This was my first time getting eyelash extensions and Irene, the eyelash technician, educated me on the entire process, showed me various photos and eyelash styles, and collaborated with me on the type of lashes available (thickness, curl, length). Because she was so knowledgeable and accommodating, I entrusted Irene with my eyelash decision. It was my first time getting eyelash extensions 2 weeks ago and I'm glad I went with Lash Therapeutics! Irene is very professional. I came in wanting the classic 3/4 set. Before starting the appointment, we talked about what I want them to look like and she suggested the cat eye with a c curl for me. She walked me through what was going on, gave me tips, and answered all the questions I had. This was done at her home, but it was all very professional - it was done in a separate room specifically for all the procedures. During the procedure, at one point I opened my eyes a little bit which let the fumes of the glue in and I teared up a little bit. Irene let me know that it's completely normal - she dried it off with her fan and continued. My eyelashes looked completely natural and is very lightweight! I was so scared it was going to look too much and feel heavy. When she was done, she gave me a little package with her business card and a spoolie. I also bought her eyelash cleanser and brush from her. She explained all the maintenance steps that I have to do and gave me tips!
