There are not many places I would say that consistently make me feel great every time I step out their door. Lust for Lashes not only have some wonderful experiences but also wonderful people who work here. Michelle, the owner, has been hands on but also working hard to give the best experience. You will get the most beautiful lash extensions that look real and make everyone wonder what mascara you're using cause it looks too good. Like I said, I've been going to Lush for Lashes for a long time... back when they're in a tiny little historical room on Queen St. Now in a gorgeous open and serene new place on Dundas, it helps to curate that calm environment where you can relax. Unlike other places where the music is popping and there is a buzz of energy from gossip, this is about creating a comfortable and relaxing environment. Some people do talk ... but often there is a soft background beat and focused lash artists creating their magic. I've been to at least 5 different artists and I can safely say that 2 of them are just otherworldly excellent with the rest being very very good for lashes. You will look instantly a better, more awake, and more glam version of yourself. You will have stunning yet natural lashes that easily last 3 weeks. One thing I do love is that they do customize the design to what you like... cat eye (more glam and winged), doll eye (more centred and more natural)... and then you have the option of full sets and partials as well. I usually get the full set doll eye for every day and when I know a big event is coming up, I go a little more and get a full cat eye. Everyone always think I have gorgeous full lashes now. If there is one magic item in my kit to elevate my look every day, it's my appointment for Lush for Lashes. The lash artists here are wonderful, on time (always), and you will look like a million bucks but it doesnt cost it.

I do appreciate that they take clients with existing lashes for a full without having to completely re-do the entire set. They do have you come in for a consultation just to make sure the lashes were put on correctly, but they were kind enough to note in my profile that I'm a regular so I won't need consultations anymore (amazing). Yana did my lashes, and she was super attentive to what I wanted and the lashes came out fluffy and full-- she was also super fast which means she knows how to put together the lashes quickly with experience. However, normally my local lash artist usually can tell what kind of curl and length my lashes are, but Yana wasn't able to so the lashes didn't match the current curl to the ones I had. But I should have also mentioned they were D curls instead of C curls. Anyway-- it still looked fabulous.

I almost had a stroke when I saw part of the fake lashes saying farewells while taking mine down too... After redeeming with Yelp, I picked up Wax and Lashes with JJ as my rescuer. Her Web Site is very attractive; the reviews about her work gave me confidence, I found the pictures very artistic, she fit me in her schedule to remove my disgrace, and try to hide the damage the same day. She was really passionate as well as knowledgeable on her craft. I got instant empathy with her because she was extremely friendly, meticulous, plus we share the same birthday (yei). Her bubbly personality made me laugh several times (recommendation: stop by the washroom before laying down). I loved the results and the fact that she also dislikes rap and Drake (good tunes during the whole process). Her magic filled the empty spaces, gave me volume, length, and the promise of putting more lashes when mine grow back. I felted spoiled when I got a 10% off, a cappuccino on her behalf, and no attitude although I was 10 minutes late... (Sorry) Ah, she shares the space with freelance stylists, so if you manage to schedule, you could have one of those marathon beauty days (hair, bye hair, and hello lashes). In here you can also purchase an almost miraculous serum to grow your real lashes called EyEnvy, cool no?

I've been to other lash salons and while I've never quite hated the process, I've never really enjoyed it. Wax & Lash changed that. As far as the lashes go, they're top quality -- well worth every penny you'll pay, and her rates are dope to begin with. You can't put a price on walking out the door confident with no makeup on! Irene, the owner, greeted me warmly and led me into the procedure room where I was met by the sounds of cool Jazz (Irene's a fan) and a super soft treatment table. We discussed options, my physical limitations (hooded eyelids and glasses) and the look that I wanted (full cat eye). The procedure was quick (20-30 minutes). Since I was a newbie, Irene talked me through the entire procedure. At the end Irene added a few more lashes to perfect the look, she is meticulous and gentle. I've tried strip lashes before and they were heavy and uncomfortable, I didn't enjoy them at all. My experience with the Cinderella lashes are a totally different story. They're so light, sometimes I forget that I'm even wearing them. Irene did an excellent job getting me the look that I wanted. I would definitely consider coming back and having it done for special occasions like weddings or other occasions.

These are synthetic mink lashes, and I wasn't sure what to expect. I got the mini set, which took about 50 minutes. Took a little nap. After I was done, my eye felt a tiny bit heavy, but felt very natural. I took care of the lashes as instructed by Irene for the first week and half and then I slacked off. Most of the lashes lasted about 2 weeks. I still have a few after 4 weeks. I was worried that more of my natural lashes would fall out than usual, but it was pretty natural. Couple things to consider: It's spring, and some days I wake up with puffy eyes (allergies). So when my lids are puffy, the root of the synthetic lashes dig in a little (they are a tad stiff) I had to pluck out a few lashed because of this. A couple time the synthetic lashes fell in my eye. And getting a regular lash in your eye is bad enough; a thick, synthetic lash is VERY annoying. I don't think I will do this regularly, but I'll certainly come back to Irene when I get t done agian.

I havnt done lashes since the pandemic , but I've had lashes done for 10 years, by the most amazing lash artists in toronto and Brazil. I gave the beauty house lash girl my lash measurements and hoped for the best. When I opened my eyes, omg I was so shocked- it was not not not what I had in mind. I don't know how each lash artist interprets the lash measurements, but it was not my look. Fine, she was young and maybe she had a style. (I'm in my 40s, and she did not ask me what I was looking for either- but I didn't know you could interpret measurements and how they look). The lashes were so long and crazy looking. When I got home I took a closer look and the lashes were also thick and cheap looking, and there was globs of glue everywhere. She was also finished in less than an hour- totally unheard of for a full set and for doing such a bad job. This is not the job of a top lash artist. They also charge by the minutes it takes to do a relash- but if you don't know how to do the lashing properly, how can you try to be so fast? I say take it slow and do the job right!! I had my lashes removed by a lash girl I have in the interim- she's pretty good. I'm still in search of my next lash girl. I don't recommend the beauty house. It's not up to the level they should be for promoting lash extensions as their main business. They need to improve a lot, or charge a lot less for their skill set.

I researched the technicians and saw really great reviews on Celina so I went with her. The system of letters for lashes is a bit confusing as most places may refer to wispy/volume/etc. so I definitely had to do a bit more research. It was nice to have some photos for reference. Celina guided me through the process really well and I loved how thorough the questionnaire was. It asks for your purpose and how recent you had your lashes done etc. She did an amazing job and my lashes lasted so much longer than I expected! When I went for a return visit, she had pulled up my previous data and asked if I'd like the same style which I really liked the ease of pulling up my profile. The price isn't too bad.
