I've been coming to Lust for Lashes for over 12 months and I can honestly say that I love this place. There are not many places I would say that consistently make me feel great every time I step out their door. Lust for Lashes not only have some wonderful experiences but also wonderful people who work here. Michelle, the owner, has been hands on but also working hard to give the best experience. You will get the most beautiful lash extensions that look real and make everyone wonder what mascara you're using cause it looks too good. Like I said, I've been going to Lush for Lashes for a long time... back when they're in a tiny little historical room on Queen St. Now in a gorgeous open and serene new place on Dundas, it helps to curate that calm environment where you can relax. Unlike other places where the music is popping and there is a buzz of energy from gossip, this is about creating a comfortable and relaxing environment. Some people do talk ... but often there is a soft background beat and focused lash artists creating their magic. I've been to at least 5 different artists and I can safely say that 2 of them are just otherworldly excellent with the rest being very very good for lashes. You will look instantly a better, more awake, and more glam version of yourself. You will have stunning yet natural lashes that easily last 3 weeks. One thing I do love is that they do customize the design to what you like... cat eye (more glam and winged), doll eye (more centred and more natural)... and then you have the option of full sets and partials as well. I usually get the full set doll eye for every day and when I know a big event is coming up, I go a little more and get a full cat eye. Everyone always think I have gorgeous full lashes now. If there is one magic item in my kit to elevate my look every day, it's my appointment for Lush for Lashes. I booked my first visit through the online booking system. When I arrived there was an issue of the appointment not actually going through. Reception was very kind and apologetic. They ended up being able to squeeze me in to see Michelle. Being it my first lash lift/tint experience, she explained the process very thoroughly and made sure I was comfortable during the appointment. I always have had a great experience here. I doNt live in Toronto, but this place is my last home away from home. I do appreciate that they take clients with existing lashes for a full without having to completely re-do the entire set. They do have you come in for a consultation just to make sure the lashes were put on correctly, but they were kind enough to note in my profile that I'm a regular so I won't need consultations anymore (amazing). Yana did my lashes, and she was super attentive to what I wanted and the lashes came out fluffy and full-- she was also super fast which means she knows how to put together the lashes quickly with experience. However, normally my local lash artist usually can tell what kind of curl and length my lashes are, but Yana wasn't able to so the lashes didn't match the current curl to the ones I had. But I should have also mentioned they were D curls instead of C curls. Anyway-- it still looked fabulous. read more

I had a bad bad experience! First i booked time for consultation and extension. I did not get any consultation. I was told to go lay on bed without even explaining full set partial set and costs related to it. All i was asked was cat eye doll eye and thats it. Left lashes took a long time however the right eye took hardly any time and I even inquired why is that so. I was told it is because of my natural lashes. I was told i have to pay more than 200$ and i was shocked. As I was feeling wary about the job and it turned out to be right. My right eyelashes kept falling off the whole day and even stuck in my eyes. I have already lost more than 10 pieces in one n half day and that also for just right eye. The left eyelashes are not falling off which makes me believe that right eye was not done properly! I am extremely disappointed! read more

If you love volume lashes this is NOT the place to get them done. They only do 2-4D and it takes 2+ hours. Their work does not pop like volumes should b/c the fans are inconsistent (feedback from other estheticians I consulted with). I had 3 appointments (hoping for improvement) and paid a premium for work that was below average. More practice or classes are required. It should not take 2+ hours to do a 3 week fill and yes, I have good retention (I don't wear makeup). Their classic lash work looks good but again, NOT the place to get volume lashes. My response to Michelle: Thanks for the call out that your location does basic volume lashes. You're right, I am used to 'Russian' which is what I've gotten at other locations. My Russian fills (hand-made fans too!) still don't take as long as it did when I got basic volume done by your estheticians. So that, and the feedback from other estheticians about their inconsistent fans implies more training/practice is required. read more

I'm a newbie when it comes to eyelash extensions! Booking: I love the ability to book online! Remember to confirm your appointment 24 hours beforehand or else it will be cancelled. The only downside was that there were limited timeslots available. Even when I was in to get them done, the girls were saying that the next available appointments were not until 3 weeks later. Application: Painless! Melissa explained everything to me before she was going to do it, so there were no surprises and less flinching (since your eyes are closed!). I actually fell asleep while she was applying. Lashes: I did a partial set (because I was nervous, it being my first time). I wish I just opted for the full. My original plan was to do the partial, see how I liked it, and then book another appointment within the week to get the rest of the lashes for a full set (all you would pay is the difference, as mentioned on their website). Only downside is, they were booked up! Overall, really loved this place. They even provide a little care kit consisting of, eyelash brushes, a few swabs to clean off your eye makeup, and a care card. read more

I have got my lashes done before so I knew how it worked but I had never visited the lust for lashes store so was really excited. I went to the new location recently but didn't feel comfortable at all! From the chair/bed to the customer service, it was a really weird experience. I have read a lot of review on the store and almost everyone had great things to say but for me I felt that the girls weren't the friendliest and couldn't really talk to them as much because I felt like I was judged in that store, maybe I am too sensitive but that's just what I felt like. Chair/bed wasn't comfortable for me at all, after I was done I had a really bad headache from that experience. It's been maybe 2 weeks but all of lashes have already fallen off and it's not really there anymore so definitely not going back. read more

I took a lash lift and tint workshop this week and can honestly say I had a great experience. My instructor Tammy was super informative and in depth. She took her time teaching me and made sure I understood everything which is big because when I've done other other workshop at different beauty colleges I've been left feeling cheated and misinformed. I have my lash extension, waxing and mani +pedi certifications so I have been taught by a few different instructors and by far Tammy was my best teacher! I forgot to mention that I have previously done tinting class and took the workshop as a refresher, however I learned a lot more then I had previously learned so it was well worth it for me. Also while in Lust for Lashes I stoked up on lash extension tools. I bought a 3 tweezers, scissors,glue,silk mixed trey,mink mixed trey, primer, removed and eye pads. The only "complaint" I had was that one of my tweezers has a gap in it, which is not visible but just doesn't grab fine hairs the way the others do, but when I called in to see if I could exchange it the receptionist let me know I could which is completely fine with me. I thought I should throw down some elite love here, since I admit I'm always a little suspicious of businesses which only have reviews by people who have written very few reviews. Anyway, I shouldn't have worried. LFL was recommended to me by my step sister who knows way more about makeup and beauty stuff than I ever will. I was going to a destination wedding in the Caribbean and she swore by lash extensions for such an occasion. She was right! With the heat and the sunscreen and sweat this would not have been the ideal location for mascara. But luckily with my fine set of lashes I didn't need to put on mascara once! (While still feeling like I had me some pretty peepers). Michelle was professional, and very helpful. She's also really flexible in booking you in, which I really appreciate. She explained the whole process to me, and gave me advise as to how to maintain the lashes. It's not a cheap process (I paid $85 with tax and tip for a half set, or "virgin lashes") but I really liked the way they look! It was less individual lashes than the other sets, but I was going for natural, and this really worked for me. It's a little more maintenance than I'm used to, but I've had refills done for other vacations, and I'd do this again if I had the right events. If you're looking to give this a try I would totally recommend Michelle. read more

I got my lashes done by Rumina and wow I LOVE it. She is so talented and gave me exactly what I wanted. I moved to Toronto recently and I was struggling to find someone to continue my eyelash extensions. From a friends recommendation, I booked an appointment but was still skeptical - it's hard to trust someone with your eyelashes. Rumina did my consultation and she gave me her honest advice. Then she squished me in her busy schedule and did my lashes... they turned out AMAZING! I told her I needed something natural for work but still low key dramatic. She gave me just that - thin lashes in a cat-eye style. I am obsessed and SO RELIEVED I found a talented eyelash technician. Plus she is super sweet and friendly. Very disappointed to have to write this review. I went in on Saturday for a full set of lashes and by evening I was suffering from an extreme allergic reaction, with swollen, red, and itchy eyelids. I have had lash extensions before and was surprised and upset that I'd have to have them removed - Allison did a great job and I was very happy with the results. Unfortunately Lust for Lashes was unnervingly casual about my request for an appointment as soon as possible, and even more shockingly, they were unwilling to give me a refund despite me having zero opportunity to enjoy or benefit from this very expensive service. I do not blame them for causing an allergic reaction - that can happen to anyone at any time. But to refuse to refund more than $200 after fewer than 24 hours of wear is unconscionable. I can't think of any other type of service where I couldn't expect a refund in this unfortunate circumstance. Buyer beware. Edit: I am unsatisfied by Michelle's response. Their website lists no such policy and in fact even has a satisfaction guarantee. I purchased lashes that, with proper care, would last up to 4 weeks, but unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my (and Lust for Lashes') control, did not last more than 24 hours. Great experience at Lust for Lashes! I had my original appointment on Thursday but went to their old location on Atlantic Avenue and ended up not being able to find their new location on Queen street as my phone was dead. So I ended up walking around for over an hour looking for the place and ended up not being able to get my lashes done that day - bummer. Luckily they squeezed me in on Monday. I found the place no problem, Michelle was awesome, so friendly, the application was comfortable, I loved the air conditioning as it was so hot and humid out. At the end of the lash appointment when I went to pay, she gave me a Starbucks gift card for the trouble I went through trying to find the place the last time! So nice of them! The only thing I'd say to change is signage - simply because the signs were not super vibrant or easy to see so it can be really easy to pass right on by. read more

Best lash lounge ever! I used to go to a lash lounge in Vancouver religiously until moving to Toronto, and it took me a while to finally commit to a new place because if you've ever had a bad set (which I have - eyelashes all stuck together, just awful), the idea of trying a new boutique is terrifying. Luckily, after a ton of research I decided on Lust for Lashes and immediately felt a sense of confidence in my technician, Melissa. I had my initial appointment back in early July and have been back consistently every three weeks since for refills without a single complication. During the initial consultation, Melissa really took the time to discuss the kind of look I was going for and was super helpful in making recommendations based on my eye shape. I was pretty specific about wanting a really noticeable change, but not something so obvious and fake that a friend would immediately pinpoint it as "she has eyelash extensions!" The actual appointment itself is really comfortable - they're great about playing soothing music, giving you blankets etc. I almost always end up falling asleep. No pain, no discomfort, just a great overall experience. The lashes have pretty good staying power although I like appointments every three weeks just to keep them full. I'm all about the hassle-free morning routines, so this is literally my lifesaver... a bit of bronze, a bit of blush and go. ADDICTED. Thank you. read more

I've made reviews for Lust for Lashes before and they're still the best in Toronto. I've been taken care of by both Jessica and Jasmine and they're both amazing lash technicians and great people. They know how to properly apply lashes and customize it to look the best for your eye shape and natural lashes. I go back and forth between Vancouver and Toronto and often end up getting bad extensions out in Vancouver and Lust for Lashes have always been helpful in correcting them and helping me start fresh. Did my lash extensions back in December and it was horrible! Firstly I should say that the quality of lashes is not good, lashes felt really unnatural and heavy. Secondly my lashes lasted like 10 days and then fell off completely, I should mention that normally I wear them 4 weeks+ without any refills. So it was a surprise for me when all of my lashes fell off after 10 days. And thirdly I should say that Lust for lashes is kinda overpriced for the quality of services they provided. read more

The women who work at Lust for Lashes are extremely talented! I had a partial set of eyelash extensions applied for my wedding, and I loved the results. I received many compliments on how nice my eyes looked (but no one could guess that they were synthetic extensions). I have had Olivia do my eyelashes the two times that I have gone and I loved the results both times. She has the lightest touch, and makes getting the eyelashes put on extremely comfortable. I also have had my eyebrows waxed and tinted twice by Jessica C. who is a goddess of eyebrows. I have naturally thick-ish eyebrows but I am lazy when it comes to tweezing. Every once in a while I liked to get them cleaned-up. Unfortunately, at other salons, this usually means having my eyebrows obliterated. Thank goodness for Jessica! I can now confidently get my eyebrows waxed without worrying that they might disappear. The tint and wax makes my brows look bigger and bolder than when I go in. She will even skip bits of the wax that are unnecessary and I really respect that. Thanks, ladies!! read more

Really happy I found this place! The online booking is as easy as it gets ... though it's almost too easy - I just made a second appointment for some winged out lashes in a couple of weeks :) I saw Tammy today, who did a brow threading and lash tint for me. She was very patient with my tears and sneeze warnings (I am definitely not pain tolerant) during the threading, but most of all she just did an amazing job. She gave my eyebrows a really lovely shape and I don't think they have ever looked better. Clean, natural, and eye-opening. The lash tint was totally painless and she was kind enough to check up on me throughout the process and fill in my brows while we were waiting for the tint to set. So sweet, and of course she made them look beautiful. I'm so happy, and I can't wait to come back. Also! The tint is relatively inexpensive (cheaper than a DIY lash tint kit at $20) and lasts up to 4 weeks. The threading was $20, cheaper than The Ten Spot. Highly recommend both services. read more

I love this place! I have had my lashes done several places in Ontario and Toronto, and this place surpasses all of them! I'm not sure how they do it but the lashes they apply stay on and last longer than any ones I've ever had applied. The staff is very professional but also friendly and easy to talk to. The prices are fair, and for Toronto, reasonable. I received the "Lash Virgin" which is about half of a full set but for me, just enough. After getting a few fills I asked if I should bump up to the full set, and the stylist was honest with me saying my natural lashes needed to get a bit stronger first. Any other salon would just apply the lashes anyway, causing more damage to your natural lashes. I see Melissa, she's awesome. :) read more

What a great place! Melissa was incredibly nice and made me feel awesome and relaxed. My regular place is in NYC (here for work for a month) and needed to look my best for all the meetings here. Found LFL here and made my appointment for a full set. My lashes look amazing. My style is natural and long. She worked with my 6 weeks old lashes and took out the ones that were overgrown and worked with my very curly natural ones. Melissa has amazing skills and tons of patience. I LOVE LFL, I am OBSESSED. Seriously, I save so much time from applying false lashes or mascara every morning. It also saves me time in the evening from using make up remover and I look great when I wake up in the AM. Came here twice to start off with a partial set and topped up with the full set. The ladies there were nice and helpful, but my issue was after the full set I did with Allison on September 23rd. The lashes started to fall off after just that day and within a week half the lashes were gone! I couldnt believe it, I've been getting my lashes done for the past two years so I know the procedures to follow to maintain the longtivity of my lashes. I'm so upset that I waisted 200 dollars. This was my first time receiving lash extensions so I was aiming for a more natural look with longer lashes at the ends in order to achieve subtle cat eye effect with the "Winged Out" option that they have. I don't know if this is due to bad adhesive quality or the stylist or both but my eyelashes are already falling off this morning and I don't think this is a good sign considering I only got it done yesterday afternoon. Also the "lash cleaning kit" is pretty tacky. I think they could've offered something better than few disposables, like lipgloss spoolies aka "lid cleaner". On a positive note receptionist replies FAST appointments are booked FAST I was even able to change my time last minute. Environment was luxurious. All the workers are very friendly I couldn't NOT tip lol. However, I was unhappy with the look and quality when I got home. It didn't look natural. Lashes were way too long at the ends to the point my extensions were very distinguishable. If I wanted to achieve a custom look I think more lashes are needed such as at least a partial set. Overall I'm not impressed by their Winged Out option. Maybe it's only for a simple, elongated look. NOT for suggesting styles upon. Price I paid was not worth it. I only suggest going here if u value customer service more than the quality of service. For me, I do not plan to return. read more

There's nothing that really stands out about this lash bar. I went here looking for a change from my regular place and saw some of their previous work and it looked amazing. Although my lashes did look good they didn't book me enough time to get a full set. Regardless of that the lash glue had been built up in the corners of my eyes. It took me the whole night to get it out, and since I can't use any liquid near my lashes I was like pulling it out of my eye. They did advise me that my lashes from before were sometimes attached to two lashes, which I'm thankful for. However my lashes from before did look amazing at their full capacity and never itched my eye. I cannot stop rubbing my eye almost a week later and I don't know if it's just the glue, but this has never happened to me before. With regards to the place itself it's cute but small. Super crowded and there's no privacy for when doing your lashes. If you live in the area and want lash extensions I wouldn't not recommend it. However I wouldn't recommend it for anyone just starting out with lashes or who lives further away. It's just a place that gets the job done. read more

I was kind of hesitant to get them done because of all the horror stories I've heard about eyelash extensions but Michelle did a fantastic job, and my eyelashes look great. I went there last week to do my lashes before going for a vacation. My appointment at my usual place was cancelled and I had to make a last minute appointment. I searched and their name came up on yelp and they had good reviews and I was happy that I found a place to book me with a short notice. However, it is less than a week and nothing is left from the eyelashes, they all fell easily. I am very careful with my lashes and I take care of them properly and I always get comments on how good I take care of my lashes and they last long!!! I was so disappointed because I did not pay 85$ plus tax to have the lashes just for 5 days! I should add my appointment was for an hour but it took less than 40 minutes but I thought maybe she is fast and she did it quickly.
