I love trying new places and open just a few weeks, these folks were next on my list. Although…read moretheir address is Frostproof, they are not in the town but actually on the Northbound side of Route 27. Let's get the end result out of the way first. These folks are a work-in-progress with some good points and some bad, but I do think they hold some promise! Atmosphere- Pure Florida kitsch! You've seen it all before. I was there for breakfast and the place was spotless! Customer Service- Five stars! My server and I recognized each other from another local restaurant that I patronize. She was awesome as usual. Efficient and a bright smile and a pleasant demeanor. Breakfast Menu- Standard American fare with the only small surprise is that the sausage had three choices. link, patties and smoked. Food- I went with a classic American breakfast of two scrambled, smoked sausage, hashbrowns and wheat toast. It was out in good time and piping hot. It cost me ten bucks. Now come the issues. As you can see from my pic there was plenty of food! The eggs were spot on and delicious. The toast was thick cut and very high quality. It was supposedly buttered but with very little, so it was dry. My bad for not ordering more butter. The smoked sausage was nice and Smokey which I loved. Problem #1 was it was soooo salty that I couldn't finish it. Problem #2 was one piece crossed the line from grilled to burnt. There was a massive amount of hash browns. There is no other way to say it; they were nicely browned on the outside but a weird mush on the inside and very greasy. I was not a fan. In my very experienced opinion, the cook(s) need to get their act together! When a business is new, I always try to be gentle. Soooo I'm going with a very generous three stars and the caveat that we need to give them some time to smooth out the rough spots. I'll be back to try them again in a few weeks.

We ordered fried squash and fried green tomatoes for appetizer both had a light crispy batter and not greasy. I had the fried pork chops, beans and fried okra that were excellent especially with the house made bbq sauces. My wife had the tuna sandwich plenty of tuna and nice taste. One of our party had the cheeseburger fresh ground beef with lots of flavor. Not a huge menu but good Southern Food we will be back. Bathrooms are located outside in a courtyard but very clean. Plenty of parking from cars to buses

It's been a couple of years since I last reviewed them. Let's see how they handled lunch today. Ratings- Almost 300 reviews from the two big review sites with an average of 4.6! That's damn fine! Arriving- Off the beaten track a couple of miles off US Route 27. Let your GPS do its thing. Limited parking but it works, Ambience- Teeny, tiny neat & clean place. A tiny patio. Three picnic tables near the front door. Seating inside for maybe 10 and a small patio. There is a counter for ordering and paying. The menu is on the wall, and I have posted a picture including prices. Customer Service- I've never had a problem on many visits. You order. You pay. You get a smile. Five minutes later it comes out, and you get another smile. Simple and painless. Food- For this meal I ordered a Brisket Platter. My doctor said my cholesterol was a little low, so my sides were fries and corn nuggets. The brisket is pictured before I added their homemade mustard sauce. It was a solid no frills lunch. Crispy sides and savory, lean meat. At 11:15 on a Wednesday there were a dozen folks ordering so they must be doing something right. Conclusion- If you are blowing through the middle of Highlands County and craving some Q for a quick lunch, this would satisfy!

It's hard to find good bbq around here. The service was quick and efficient. Sadly the food was not worth the price paid. Lesson learned.

I set me in car and waited until 2:30 pm I paid for my Slab of ribs ($33.00) with sauce on the side and a large potatoe salad ($8.00). My husband also wanted a cup of peach cobbler which is so good. The ribs was so tender omg! I was so satisfied. The owner and his wife are so nice their customer service is amazing. We go there so much tell she remembers us. They are located next to a fruit stand and we always purchase items there. Not sure what the name of it. The location is easy to locate also across from racetrac gas station. They only take cash! I did not take a picture of the slab of ribs because my family tore it up. It is a must to pay them a visit.

We stopped for lunch around 2:00 on a Friday afternoon and they were out of pulled pork and bbq chicken. So I had to settle for the rib sandwich. Which was delicious by the way. The sides were Mac and cheese, Cole slaw, baked beans etc. I had the Mac and cheese and it was delicious! Cheesy creamy goodness and the pasta was not over cooked. The small size was a 12 ounce styrofoam cup so plenty for 2 people. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because they were out of 2 of their main meats. This is definitely tops for bbq.

Walkable at only about 0.2 miles and they have all the groceries you need. It is the biggest grocery store in Grace Bay. Fruit and dairy products are very expensive in Turks and Caicos. For example grapefruit cost over $3 each, individual yogurt servings were over $3. They also have different prepared food each day. They also have a coffee shop, salad bar, and a deli. The food here was very reasonably priced and many locals ate lunch there. For breakfast they have the normal eggs, french toast, breakfast meat, etc. For lunch there is a menu that changes everyday (see photo). The first day we got BBQ ribs, Mac and cheese, and a spinach empanada. All of which were great. Next day we got pork chops, tuna salad, and a baked potato. The empanadas were different from the yellow Mexican type ones you get a most places. The crust was flakier but really good. They had some mini quail empanadas that were good. PRO TIP (Like my friend Winnie L): If you choose something like empanadas, seared salmon which are not hot, you can ask the staff to heat it up when you order. The salmon was simple but excellent. My favorites were the BBQ meatloaf and curry chicken salad. Baked mac and cheese was a great side Definitely a convenient lunch option. If you drive they have a good sized parking lot. The deli makes sandwiches to order and they have a good selection (see photos). We ate lunch at this place every day we were in Turks and Caicos. We did not have a single bad meal.
