    Brisket and beans.

Stopped in Fri evening. Cute little place off the beaten path. Decent sized menu and pricing wasn't too bad. Ordered the brisket and two sides. Came out within ten mins. Food was warm and flavorful. The brisket was tender. And the lady was very polite and talkative. Def worth a try.

I had the couch potato which was awesome the owner gave me an apple pie with cinnamon I have never had anything better. The collard greens are amazing they have a tang of vinegar I will definitely eat and order from here again

Everything was delish and the service was FUN!!!! The Brunswick stew and cornbread and collards....WOWZA!!!!!

    Cute tip jar

The review is really a 4.5 but it wouldn't let me do that. The ambiance was quaint with a comfortable feel. Americana and BBQ decor everywhere. The service was excellent and we were well taken care of. I had the brisket platter with mac and cheese and hashbrown casserole. The brisket was tender and tasty and the mac and cheese was tremendous!!! One suggestion would be on the hashbrown casserole. It was ok but missing something, maybe add more cheese to it? My wife had the couch potato. It was a huge baked potato with brisket, shredded cheese, chives, sour cream, butter, and sweet barbecue sauce. She thoroughly enjoyed it! We had blueberry cheesecake and white chocolate cheesecake for dessert. They were both delectable. Sweet tea and an Arnold Palmer were our drinks and they were great. We would come back for sure.

    This was the sampler .

The food here was the best barbecue we've had in a long time and the trophies lined across the wall prove how good that barbecue is if you're passing through frostproof if you pass it, you messed out

    Delicious sauces on each table!

My Credentials- I have eaten BBQ in every state including AK & HI! That's right, every state and every style! One memorable day in Austin, TX, I had BBQ for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! I then lapsed into a food coma with a smile on my face! Arriving- It's in teeny tiny Frostproof and off the beaten track. It's easy with your GPS. You might think it's at the end of the world but it's just rural Central Florida! From the outside, this place looks like a typical hole-in-the-wall Q place. So much so that it might scare some folks away. Don' judge a book by its cover! Small parking lot in front with 1 handicapped spot. More parking around the back. The smoker is next to the front parking lot. When I parked, because of a soft breeze, I was smoked and loved it! Now I'll taste better! Atmosphere- Florida kitsch with a patriotic flare and everything was spotless! Adult Libations- Nope, the place is dry but has a fine selection of soft drinks etc. Note that like many folks, I love a beer with my Q. Soooo I generally don't award five stars unless I can have a beer. Owner, take note! Fast Facts- * You will be asked to order and pay at the register before sitting down. * They offer self-serve fountain drinks with Pepsi products. * Expect plastic disposable utensils. * With my platter I could choose between Texas Toast or Cornbread. * Mid-meal, I was offered a cup of boiled peanuts, Nice! Pro Tip- With a Yelp Check in, you get a free drink! Sweet! Customer Service- Not much to say. Everyone that touched me was friendly and efficient. Food- Brisket, Pork, Sausage, Chicken, and sides. You know the deal. I ordered a one-meat brisket platter with two sides, Apple Cole Slaw & Beans. It's the most expensive platter and with a 15% tip I paid $20. OMG just wow! Check out that beautiful thick, tender slab of brisket. The bark was perfect, and I moaned with delight! The beans were delicious but be warned they are spicy. The Apple Cole Slaw was NOT mayo-based which I love. It was nice and fresh. The Cornbread was moist and tasty. I would have appreciated a pat of butter but that's just nit-picking! I was pleasantly stuffed! This place has been open about five months and it is rockin! I'm going to break my own rule and award five stars even without my beer. It's that good. This is a place worth driving a bit out of your way to visit!

Best Ribs, amazing sizes and terrific service, Thank You Amie!! Run don't walk to this hidden gem!

Very dark, dank and dingy. Staff in side room not paying attention to anyone. We were the only people there. Tasted microwaved. Ribs were flavorless, tough and dry. Dry even with bbq sauce. Chicken skin was like rubber and meat had no flavor. I explained it was our first time there and asked if the meat had sauce on it and she asked you mean like bbq sauce? I stopped and thought well yeah I am in a bbq place! Asked if beans were spicy and got attitude with a NO they are sweet. It was Mother's Day. I should have known when we walked in to an empty place

Nothing fancy, just seriously good ribs. Like, top 5 in your life guaranteed. Cool selection of old timey bottles of soda too.

    The Patriot

From the moment we walked in the door, we knew we hit the BBQ jackpot! John greeted my husband and I, recommending we try the Patriot, which consisted of FIVE different (DELICIOUS) meats, 3 savory sides, cornbread and Texas Toast. This was beyond a sampler platter, the meats were moist, tasty and smoked to absolute perfection. Their signature BBQ sauces were an added slice of Heaven. It didn't stop there, the Mac n Cheese made my recipe look like chump change. The Brunswick Stew was beyond tasty, to the point that my Husband was actually speechless for a solid 4 minutes (thank you). Still going....While devouring the corn bread, John brought us a side of candy like tasting butter that was out of this world! We washed all this greatness down with the most refreshing fountain soda. Needless to say, the entire experience at Frostproof BBQ company was sheer perfection. My day is made and we're already talking about our next trip (and trying their deserts next time). Definitely recommend, a million outta 10!

Please get in your car, drive to Frostproof BBQ, and order the brisket, ribs, and Mac n cheese. The brisket was to die for. This new joint opened near us and it's delicious. Quick service. Delicious BBQ sauce options. Super cute inside. Would definitely return.

Although…read moretheir address is Frostproof, they are not in the town but actually on the Northbound side of Route 27. Let's get the end result out of the way first. These folks are a work-in-progress with some good points and some bad, but I do think they hold some promise! Atmosphere- Pure Florida kitsch! You've seen it all before. I was there for breakfast and the place was spotless! Customer Service- Five stars! My server and I recognized each other from another local restaurant that I patronize. She was awesome as usual. Efficient and a bright smile and a pleasant demeanor. Breakfast Menu- Standard American fare with the only small surprise is that the sausage had three choices. link, patties and smoked. Food- I went with a classic American breakfast of two scrambled, smoked sausage, hashbrowns and wheat toast. It was out in good time and piping hot. It cost me ten bucks. Now come the issues. As you can see from my pic there was plenty of food! The eggs were spot on and delicious. The toast was thick cut and very high quality. It was supposedly buttered but with very little, so it was dry. My bad for not ordering more butter. The smoked sausage was nice and Smokey which I loved. Problem #1 was it was soooo salty that I couldn't finish it. Problem #2 was one piece crossed the line from grilled to burnt. There was a massive amount of hash browns. There is no other way to say it; they were nicely browned on the outside but a weird mush on the inside and very greasy. I was not a fan. In my very experienced opinion, the cook(s) need to get their act together! When a business is new, I always try to be gentle. Soooo I'm going with a very generous three stars and the caveat that we need to give them some time to smooth out the rough spots. I'll be back to try them again in a few weeks.

We ordered fried squash and fried green tomatoes for appetizer both had a light crispy batter and not greasy. One of our party had the cheeseburger fresh ground beef with lots of flavor. Not a huge menu but good Southern Food we will be back. Bathrooms are located outside in a courtyard but very clean. We'll see if they are up to the challenge! Arriving- They are on Main Street (Scenic Hwy) in teeny tiny Frostproof, and they have no parking lot! Street parking is limited. That's challenge #1. Ambiance- It looks like a converted gas station. Restrooms are outside. There are picnic tables out front. Inside is nice and clean with well-spaced tables. Customer Service- No problems! I didn't ask but I believe I was chatting with the husband-and-wife owners and service was just fine! Adult Libations- They are dry and serve Coke products. When I asked for a Diet Coke, nope! What I really would have liked was a beer! Food- No menus yet, not even on a chalkboard! After two months that's unacceptable! The meats available today were ribs, chicken legs and wings. No pulled pork, sausage, or brisket. Meat variety is challenge #2. I ordered a Rib Platter that came with two sides and a bottle of Coke. The pre-tip tab was just under $20. The three ribs were great with lots of meat and the sauce was spot on. The sides were just there, and I have nothing to say about them which is challenge #3. I was also surprised no bread product was offered. If I'm gonna pay $20 for lunch, I expect a small piece of cornbread or maybe a slice or two of Texas toast but there was nothing. Let's call that #4. I think they have potential, and the ribs were great so I'm going three-stars. Let's see if they can step up their game and I'll return in a couple of months.

Three picnic tables near the front door. Seating inside for maybe 10 and a small patio. There is a counter for ordering and paying. The menu is on the wall, and I have posted a picture including prices. Customer Service- I've never had a problem on many visits. You order. You pay. You get a smile. Five minutes later it comes out, and you get another smile. Simple and painless. Food- For this meal I ordered a Brisket Platter. My doctor said my cholesterol was a little low, so my sides were fries and corn nuggets. The brisket is pictured before I added their homemade mustard sauce. It was a solid no frills lunch. Crispy sides and savory, lean meat. At 11:15 on a Wednesday there were a dozen folks ordering so they must be doing something right. The food here was very reasonably priced and many locals ate lunch there. For breakfast they have the normal eggs, french toast, breakfast meat, etc. For lunch there is a menu that changes everyday (see photo). The first day we got BBQ ribs, Mac and cheese, and a spinach empanada. All of which were great. Next day we got pork chops, tuna salad, and a baked potato.
