This place has one of the best pizzas I have ever had, definitely the best for this style of pizza in Sydney.
This style of pizza is a cross between a traditional Italian pizza and an American style pizza. It is a little closer to the American style as the base is thicker than a traditional Italian pizza, but it is what it is, and as pizzas go, this is a very satisfying pizza.
They use real meat in their ingredients and the quality is always there.
The pizzas can be ordered in plenty of sizes but I always go for the biggest size.
Yes the owners and workers can be a little "old school", as in they are probably immigrants that came to Australia in the 1950'-1960's, but that is half the appeal to the place. It is made and cooked in a way that reminds you of perfect home cooking.
Their menu range is huge and they have incorporated other no so traditional pizza flavours. Eg:Indian, Asian, Mexican flavours into their pizzas. It doesn't really matter what you order though, for years this place has been producing top notch pizzas that you end up wanting to try as many flavours as possible.
I was introduced to Bexley pizza at a friends house when they ordered take away. I had no expectation for takeaway pizza as they always taste a little worse than eating it fresh from the oven, but their takeaway is as good as eating it in the restaurant.
