Good food. Great service. We were in a large group. The waiters and the head waiter were always there to ensure we got what we needed.

I like Mancini's for 4 reasons. It's local. They deliver, even when it's pouring rain outside ( Hey…read morewhy else would you order home delivery pizza when the Pizza shop is literally 10 mins walk from your house) 3. La Potata 4. La Giardino ( hold the capsicum please ) La Potata is an ultimate indulgence. Dont be on a health kick if you order it ( or be cheating on your diet, or have just run a 5km fun run if you have this one ) it is all of the best things in life. Bacon, Cheese, Potato, Spanish onion and sour cream! Lord Jesus take the wheel!! Talk about deluxe. It is just plain delicious. La Giardino is a Vegetarian option. An Option! If you are or have ever been vego ( as I was for 10 years) having actual options is an absolute treat. Eggplant, tomato ( we ask for fresh tomato to replace the capsicum) cheese and mushroom. They have a lot of options! Hurrah! I admit Ive never actually dined in at Mancini's but it is definitely the Hub of Summer Hill village. Along with Da Vinci's next door, it's a Pizza agglomeration. White linen, outdoor tables line the streets in true European style, and it is always very busy and buzzing. Highly recommend it.

If you choose to dine al fresco, they have plenty of seats with outdoor heating. However, many families dine here so be wary of a little noise if you choose to dine indoors. Their pizzas and salads are absolutely delicious. As the last reviewer before me said, La Potate is divine. The Meatlovers is also absolutely delicious and packed with meat. However, if you're watching your weight, try a Calabrese salad - the combination of gnocchi and tomato is smooth and delectable. If you want some dessert, they have plenty of gelato and cake on offer.

The new menu marked the antecedent of a series of events planned at Andiamo Summer Hill. Each event will be transporting you on a taste journey to specific regions of Italy. 'Tavola di Luca" (Chef's Table) is the new concept headed by Chef. The influences come from Sardinia, where Luca grew up in the South of Italy. It was the perfect debut to long time Summer Hill diners as the 6 course degustation of Sardinian dishes had personal ties with Chef Luca's grandparents and mother. All courses were accompanied with wine from Sardinia, immersing diners completely into this style of cuisine which has deep roots in agropastorality. Thin wafers are a staple in the Sardine antipasti, so the lead-in basket of Carasau Bread with fresh tomato of crisp textures and natural tomato flavors sets the tone together with the cured Pork fillet with Rocket & Apple. This was a beautiful pairingwith the caramelized sweetness in the Antichi Poderi Jerzu - Vermentino di Sardegna wine accompanying this. Perfectly rounded off with sips from the Maccori grapes treated with the strong mistral winds blowing in from the north-west Mediterranean. The primi (appetiser) of hand made pork sausage and fennel seeds requires no sauce. It's natural juices bathe in its spiral construction allowing the meat and herb to intertwine beautifully. This represents the epitome of Sardinian style cooking. No sauce required - keep things real! The island of Sardinian cuisine wouldn't be complete without seafood. Baby clams are served with hand rolled Fregola Risotatta - the perfect example of Mediterranean and Italian fusion in which this island has strong influences. There are many many versions of this dish throughout Sardinia. Native only to Sardinia, it's somewhere in between risotto and pasta taking the form of 2mm beads. Nice earthy brothe paired with the floral fruitiness of the vermin to grape wine. The heart of our meal came with the Secondi (Main) pork roast. A world famous signature of the islands, it is served in the chicory plant, absorbing that subtle woody flavour into its meat, rounded off with sips of the warmth from the Bantu annonau wine. Dessert blends orange zest, ricotta and corbezzolo honey into a centre of crisp pastry and accompanied with In Fudu moscato. This is an excellent finale to a region not focused on as much in the mainstream.

The rocket salad had fresh greens but very little rocket and wasn't peppery, in the middle of a pandemic causing supply chain issues this is fine but I wished I'd ordered the Mediterranean salad instead. Pizza was good, could have been cooked slightly longer and had less cheese. Beautiful pinot grigio by the glass. Only disappointing item was the Mojito cocktail, at $17 you'd expect some kick, not sure if it had any spirits at all. I had to pay cash for my coffee to sit outside in the sun as the outdoor tables have separate service rules, but it was lovely and the woodsmoke made it smell like Europe.

Please sweet baby Cheeses, don't let this be the same. The pizza is outstanding, you can tickle your pizza pickle with traditional red base or if you're into living a little - try the Bianchi base, the prosciutto one is insane. If you're in the area and you're thinking about pizza, which should be a standard thought process - it won't disappoint.

I messaged some Italian relatives-in-laws and it was clear I had to check out Napoli Centro. Located close to Bardwell Park Train Station and short walk just past it you'll find a clean window view into a simple but classic Italian restaurant. Framed pictures on the wall and the smell from the wood fire oven leaves you salivating. We ordered quickly as we were luckily to get a table, surprisingly the place was packed when we got there. Arancini (Rice Balls), Buffalo Mozzarella Salad with a Fettuccine Biascola and Margarita pizza. The Pizza was the star, closely followed by the pasta both light and left you wanting more. Truly classic Napoletana style in delivery and taste. Unfortunately we were in a rush, so no desert but I'll be back because the gelato looked good as well.
