Great Italian place hidden in North Ryde, packed into a Kennards Storage of all places !! From the storage box themed garden out the front, to the shelf of awards you know you are in for a special time. Great pizza, great pastas and a complement of desserts makes a full tum at the end of the meal. Does a pretty sharp trade in takeaway, and for large groups you can go for the metre long pizza (with three standard pizza toppings on it). All in all highly recommended

"Australia's best pizza 2017" - 2017 Campionato Mondiale della Pizza - The Lowdown: This place is always busy, and there is a reason for it! First dish to arrive at our plates was the Diavola pizza, "San Marzano Tomato, Fior di Latte, Hot Salami, Basil". Although the ingredients sound simple, the taste was sensational - you can tell the chefs at Verace love their job, because it shows in the food produced; sauce made from scratch, a pizza base packed with flavour though is light and doesn't leave you feeling bloated. Next to arrive was the pappardelle a ragù. The flavours and texture of this dish are excellent! The pappardelle is hand made at Verace, which would be excellent on its own, but they up the anti by adding delicious slow cooked lamb shoulder ragù which dissolves instantly upon being greeted with your tastebuds. I could eat this dish on a regular basis, it is so tasty! Lastly, my fiancé ordered the tiramisu. I know this was amazing even without eating it because there was nothing but silence until the dish was empty! - Pro Tip: If you like a bit of extra heat, ask for their homemade chilli oil. - Weapon of Choice: Hands

We decided Tuesday lunchtime as the best time to get a reservation. You will need a reservation. Go to the website and make one from there. Very easy.....and interestingly enough, it allowed us an hour, so we assumed service would be like greased lightning and there was to be no dilly dallying over eating the meal. The next bit of preparation is parking. It is 12P 7am-7pm Mon-Fri metered parking during the day at $3 per hour. Arriving early was no problem and we certainly didn't get a "hurry on" to eat quickly either. The waiters were attentive and the guys tending the furnace making the pizzas were the entertainment. The pizza oven faces the restaurant so you can see the fire and watch the pizzas cook. These are the pizzas that people like to call "traditional". Although, if you have eaten pizzas around Italy you will find that they are all different so I don't really know what "traditional" means. These pizzas are really good. The online menu gives a good description as well as the price. We had arancini as an entree....very nice. The pizzas we chose were prosciutto and diavola. The diavola salami had a bit of heat. Don't forget to ask for some chilli oil if you like it a little hotter. My dessert eater partner went for the semifreddo and as I was given a spoon by the caring waiter I checked it out as well. Very nice. BUT...no gelato or ice-cream ...so no Affogatto (one of the few desserts that I will indulge) It doesn't lose them a star as my macchiato was good. Plenty of people from the local businesses were having lunch. One lot were there to pick up takeaway...10 pizzas! There were the odd couples who arrived without a reservation and it seemed that there was no problem in accomodating today. They were still busy.

I came with a group of 6 and we naturally had to order the metre long pizza ($62) al metro, meaning it could be split into 3 different types of pizza out of their 15+ choices so there's something for everyone. Before we did that we ordered some starters; the salt + pepper calamari with eggplant (this was awesome,) buffalo mozzarella salad, and sausage on toast (the name escapes me.) The entreés were good, though portions on the small side...but good start. Onto the pizza...I'm not sure what I expected, but I think I ate a bit of the hype machine because the pizza was just OK for me. The crust was crispy, dough was fluffy, but the pizza itself was a little too flimsy...flimsy enough you had to eat with two hands and the toppings fell off quite easily, so I found it more annoying than enjoyable to eat. I need to come here again to solidify my opinion, but for the time being, if you live near the CBD I wouldn't make the trek out here as there are other places to go. Order a small pizza on the side if you have 6 people, as the metre long will be gone in seconds and you may still be hungry.

Extremely disappointing experience at Bondi Pizza Macquarie (Monday, 6th Oct)…read more Went in for a quick dinner before a movie and it was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. We ordered two pumpkin salads, made it very clear (even held up two fingers), plus a glass of wine and a Pepsi. After waiting 40 minutes, only one salad came out -- and it was pathetic for almost $30: a tiny handful of rocket, two small cubes of pumpkin, and three tiny pieces of chicken. When we asked where the second salad was, the waiter said there was only one on the order. We reminded them we were short on time, and a staff member later told us the other salad would be another 5-10 minutes. We declined since we had to leave. Meanwhile, multiple staff kept bringing the wrong meals to our table, clearly lost. The manager's attitude was the worst part. While we were explaining the issue, she barely made eye contact, kept saying "yep, yep, yep" while filing menus, and offered no real apology or ownership. Her excuse? "We're busy." The place was half-empty, and staff behind the bar were chatting and drinking. All she offered was to remove the drinks from the bill -- which doesn't make up for terrible service, missing food, and total indifference. I manage a large clinic myself, and if any of my staff treated clients this way, there'd be immediate retraining. This experience ruined our evening and showed a complete lack of care, communication, and professionalism. Would not recommend Bondi Pizza Macquarie at all. Poor service, poor food, and a manager who couldn't care less.
