The guy that runs this is like the fun, nice, cool Uncle I wish I had instead of the old, drunk,…read morepervy one I actually have. He's genuinely Italian (not like those awful fake Italians that seem to be everywhere you look these days) and is chronically happy in the most relaxed and infectious way. And hells, why wouldn't he be when he's blessed with the God-given talent to create the most awe-inspiringly, pants-wettingly delicious pizzas in Sydney? You may guess from that little paean that this is my go-to 'za joint and you'd guess right. None of this pan base crap. No bike wheel-thin, brittle dough with an artisan scraping of tomato sauce and three pieces of gourmet pepperoni. These bad boys are dripping with love and quality toppings, stacked high with colour and juice and topped with tasty cheese and chilli flakes and those ace little Italian anchovies I can't get enough of. My fave is The Special with pretty much everything and the kitchen sink on it. But NO PINEAPPLE. God help you if you order pineapple on a pizza. What are we, Polynesian cavemen? It's cheap, too. 2 families feeds three of us with lunch left over the next day. Boom. All hail Antos, king of pizza parlours!

Thankfully, Benjamin said most of it for me. The only thing I will add is that their Vegetarian options are also unparalleled and they will happily change toppings for you, or you can create your own. P.s. PINEAPPLE ON PIZZA FOR LIFE! *shakes fist at sky*

Our Wednesday lunch was excellent. Parking in Lane Cove is not the best so we parked at St Michaels…read morein the 4hr spot and walked up, which was just as well as we took our time over lunch. The traffic was loud but we were still able to have a conversation. Whilst the restaurant was reasonably busy, we were not hurried by the wait staff. One of our party had the gnocchi and it was good. The three remaining had a share of three round pizzas. There were metre long pizzas at other tables but we decided to do the traditional. The pizzas were not overloaded with filling and the crusts were tough but edible. We joked with the waiter about the Fantasy pizza being made of leftovers. We are still in the dark as to what was the topping, but it was good. The Diavola was nicely hot. The three of us were able to polish off all three pizzas. On another table with eight people, two one metre long pizzas resulted in leftovers. I don't think they were trying hard enough as three of the group were schoolboys. The 50cm pizza can have two toppings and the one metre can have three toppings. An antipasti plate was delivered to another table and it looked pretty good too. They followed that with a metre long pizza. I would certainly be back for lunch but I have been assured there are queues of an evening for this place.

Amazing. Pizza. What more can you ask for? The prices…read morearen't even much more than Domino's but you get so much more enjoyment. The service could use some work, especially if you're getting takeaway, but the atmosphere makes you feel like you're in Italy. Can't recommend it enough.

Be aware that they do not provide the small pizzas on Fridays and Saturdays as we learnt one evening. And they also offer gluten free bases. I like to order half and half pizzas which is standard these days and always mix a gourmet topping with a standard topping. I love the Super house special with roma tomato, pepperoni, cabanossi, ham, mushroom, onion, capsicum, pineapple and olives. And for my traditional topping I always have Napoletana because I'm an anchovy fan. Though their pizzas could be more liberal on anchovies. Inside the little space called Marilyna's it is packed with staff that all looked like they have just arrived from a beach, there is comraderie between them which creates a relaxed atmosphere, though you cannot eat inside, it makes for some entertainment while you wait. An explosion occurs in the fridge as coca cola ice splotches hit the roof and fall, it's quite a random thing to happen but this along with watching these boys respond and somehow come up with a solution was very entertaining as two of them discuss between themselves the OH&S implications of this situation. Anyway if you are looking for quick bite to either pick up or get delivery Marilyna's is the best choice in this neighbourhood.
