Service wasn't great (like another fellow reviewer mentioned). Had dinner here as a table of 20.
-Asked for water a few times, but no action was taken to quench our thirst.
-Waiter just came over the took our leftover pizza and pasta away and packed it into takeaway boxes. I mean, it'd be polite to ask if we were done eating first??
-My friend booked the table for us. When booking, she stated her last name to reserve a table. The waiter on the other side of the call, corrected my friends pronunciation of HER OWN surname! (I dont understand why... )
-Food was unevenly distributed along the 20 seated table. Majority of food was placed at the table closest to the kitchen.
-No service during meal. Like, no refilling of water, no asking "how's the food going?"
Mezza Via seems like one of those fancy Italian places you would go to as a treat, a date night maybe or just a nice dinner out with friends. However, I don't feel like it's worth the price paid for bad service and hit-and-miss food.
The metre long pizza is a stunner at first, it gives that "wow factor". But taste wise? It's not that special.
The pastas, quite bland. Not enough flavour.
The calamari starter, not enough seasoning.
Overall, it's okay. I wouldn't choose to come back here again. read more
