    Lightly seasoned calamari
    Sharon N.

Service wasn't great (like another fellow reviewer mentioned). Had dinner here as a table of 20. -Asked for water a few times, but no action was taken to quench our thirst. -Waiter just came over the took our leftover pizza and pasta away and packed it into takeaway boxes. I mean, it'd be polite to ask if we were done eating first?? -My friend booked the table for us. When booking, she stated her last name to reserve a table. The waiter on the other side of the call, corrected my friends pronunciation of HER OWN surname! (I dont understand why... ) -Food was unevenly distributed along the 20 seated table. Majority of food was placed at the table closest to the kitchen. -No service during meal. Like, no refilling of water, no asking "how's the food going?" Mezza Via seems like one of those fancy Italian places you would go to as a treat, a date night maybe or just a nice dinner out with friends. However, I don't feel like it's worth the price paid for bad service and hit-and-miss food. The metre long pizza is a stunner at first, it gives that "wow factor". But taste wise? It's not that special. The pastas, quite bland. Not enough flavour. The calamari starter, not enough seasoning. Overall, it's okay. I wouldn't choose to come back here again.

Perfect size, flavour and presentation. Mains were average. Seafood seemed a bit lacking in the Zuppa. Calamari rings were so tiny! The calzone bread was nice and soft but I wasn't a fan of the cheese used. I like particularly strong tasting cheese so this just tasted more towards melted rubber than cheese for me. OVERALL The place ticked the requirement I was looking for. With glass all around the restaurant it enable us to enjoy the sunshine and waterview. Great restaurant for relaxed daytime eating.

Anema E Core is a little restaurant (there is only two tables inside opposite their massive coffee machine and their indoor wood fired pizza oven, the rest of the tables are outside and with the weather being rainy they were not set up yet. We ordered the 4 Formaggi (Gorgonzola, Smoked buffalo Mozzarella, fiordilatte, Shaved Parmesan, basil, olive oil) Crudo E Rucola ( Rocket, prosciutto, shaved Parmesan, basil, olive oil) and for dessert the Nutella pizza all for takeaway. The base is ridiculously soft! I am in heaven. Nom nom nom I love this place! Staff are friendly and the chefs have a think Italian accent which adds to the authenticity of this tiny restaurant. We have booked to go again this Sunday, looking forward to trying their other pizzas and the coffee! Ciao :)

It's a small restaurant with a pizza oven but they mount massive tents outside which is where the customers sit. I was concerned that it would be cold in the tent but they had heaters heating up the massive tents. Although the weather is warm and cold at the moment!! Anema E Core is really busy so I recommend you book beforehand.I have read wonderful things about how great their pizza is so I was eager to check it out. The table next to us orders a metre long pizza which looks spectacular. I order the "081" pizza which has a tomato base with mozzarella, ham, mild salami, ricotta, black pepper with basil and olive oil. The pizza came out so quickly and looked amazing. What an efficient kitchen Anema E Core has.The base is nice and doughy. The toppings are basic but come well together like real authentic pizza. I would strongly endorse their pizzas!! Yummo. I also order some dessert including the Nutella donut ( $7). It's quite a sizeable donut, comparable to a small cake. The donut is cut in half with nutella. It's topped with a bit of cream, strawberries, icing sugar and drizzled with more chocolate. Yummo. I love nutella so this donut went down like a treat. woot woot. $7 is also a nice price tag.

It is your one stop shop for all things Italian and my word it did not disappoint. We were seated here at about 1:15pm on a Saturday and although there were plenty of people seated, there was still plenty of room for us. It is quite a large restaurant with plenty of seating inside & out and is located in the "Waterfront" complex in Wentworth Point. Almost immediately, I was captivated by the European style decor & authentic atmosphere that came with it. The staff seemed to be all Italian and were full of cheer & passion. The restaurant was playing italian music quite softly in the background which again contributed to the cultured atmosphere. We were waited on immediately and had a couple of coffees ordered & served to the table within minutes. These were excellent but the fresh orange juice that followed with the food was a class above the rest. The menu is very comprehensive and almost all Italian with variety in meats, salads, entrees, mains, desserts & the rest. The pricing is a touch on the high side at around $20 an entree and $30+ a main but the dishes epitomise value for money. Although we were disappointed to hear that the 3 stuffed vegetables entree was not available, the bruschetta, grilled octopus with salad & garlic prawns in chilli tomato sauce dissolved that slight disappointment instantaneously. The food was absolutely incredible & full of flavour, and the wood-fried italian bread (Pana di Casa) was pure crispy & crunchy goodness. The presentation was sensational and the portion sizes were impressive, especially being that they were considered entrees. Our food was on our table within 15 minutes of ordering & it was in our stomachs in even less time than that. We stepped up to the counter to pay our share and came across the small display of fresh italian style desserts. Considering the sweet ricotta cannoli was staring right at me, I just couldn't resist and left with a roadie cannoli. Not only that, upon exit I had a stroll through the retail side of the store & was delighted to see a vast variety of biscotti, cured meats & imported Italian wines available for purchase. After adding a beautiful 2007 Tuscan red to my collection, we were on our way - by the way, the cannoli was outstanding! Overall, there's not a bad thing I could say about Cucina Visontini. In fact, if I didn't know where I was, I could have been mistaken into thinking I was overseas. Our experience wasn't just a great meal with excellent service & a bottle of wine to enjoy another time, it was truly cultural appreciation. It has become easy to generalise Italian restaurants but make no mistake, Cucina Viscontini is the real deal. For a taste of Italy, I respectfully demand that you try this place, you will be thankful you did so!

The wife and I love a good piece of wood fire pizza and this place didn't disappoint. As we were the only ones there our meals came out next to no time. Hot and fresh. One The Fireman and one The Forager. The Fireman was as hot as it sounded much to the delight of my wife. The Forager was more subtle with it's flavours but the cream base was a touch underwhelming. Perfect dough with an amazingly chewy crust. This isn't the kind of restaurant one can settle down in for the long haul. More of a place where you order, eat and then say goodbye and continue with the shopping. We would happily return.

I work nearby and walk past the restaurant every morning, on Thursday night the boy and i thought we'd give it a try. We arrived about 7pm the place wasn't packed but it was busy. We were seated at a both just inside the door shown the menu when they came back for the order we hadn't decided on the food yet. Our drinks arrived and we were ready to order, we ordered the selection of house made dips with flat bread, mrs C's crispy chicken bites with chipotle aioli and a c&c special pizza - the director which has pulled pork, radicchio, red onion, bbq sauce. They were all to share and come out at once. The selection of dips and chicken bites arrived about half an hour later. The dips were beetroot, olive and a hot jalapeño style dip and the chicken bites were well, small battered bits of chicken. We started picking while we waited for the pizza, eventually we had finished both dishes and were still waiting for the pizza. Eventually a second drink was ordered and reassurance our pizza was on the way. Almost an hour later it seemed all the wait staff had finished their shifts and were sitting at the bar drinking... but where was our pizza? The manager/owner must have seen me looking around for someone and gave me the thumbs up, i shook my head and tried to ask where our pizza was from across the room. About 5 minutes later he appeared at the table to advise us the pizza had been made and served out and if we had ordered a second one they didn't actually order. After explaining it was the original pizza we ordered and requesting it to still be made takeaway he apologised and let us know the pizza would be comped. Once the pizza was ready we paid and went to make our way out. The owner/manager presented us with a complimentary meal coupon to be used for our return. We may return but if the first experience is anything to go by it won't be for some time!
