If we hadn't been on a food tour earlier in the day we might have had 5 drinks, but alas our stomach space was limited. The servers here were very attentive without hovering, we had no complaints other than we wish we could have had every drink. The first drinks we ordered were the Fluffy, Frothy, Inflatable, Tube man and the He-Man Go! The tubeman was so good my wife who normally doesn't like comparing really enjoyed her cocktail. My He-Man go was unique, light, and refreshing reminding me a little of a tomato-tini I made a few years back and also made me think of a Margherita pizza...very unique. Being full my wife opted against a 2nd drink and I ordered the Bop It! It was so unique...goat cheese in a drink? And it tastes good? You betcha! It was sweet, savory, and funky! I'm sharing a description of the drinks so you can get a better feel of the complexity and thought they put into their offerings. On a side note they serve food as well which looked great!

There is literally fun everywhere you look from the panda stuffed animal riding a tiger on the wall to the hilarious shrek pillow. Coming right when they open I was able to see these things that you would likely not see in the evening. But to be fair I came right when they opened since it is first come first serve. A majority of the drinks were more on the savory side which was very interesting like "may all your bacon burn" with bacon bites at the top of the drink. The drinks my friend had were all stunning with the use of egg yolk to elevate the drink. We ended the evening by walking over to Bow Market and trying Viet Citron which was so DANG GOOD my gosh. The to go orders were insane but looks like they are doing very well despite recently opening in. I got the grilled lemongrass pork ribs bowl and youtiao and the side sauce was so good. The ribs were all very meaty. It looks small but I was surprised how full I was after having it. Nice night of drinks and food. Every dish told a story and I was genuinely surprised at how authentic some of the flavor palettes were. I usually take pictures of my food but we ate everything immediately and I was too distracted by the flavors to snap a pic. We ordered the chicken thighs, the branzino, the plantains, the beef patty, and the hake. I very much recognized the flavors of the suya as someone of west African descent. We left happy and full. I plan to come back again with my husband very soon and maybe next time I'll actually take a picture before stuffing my face.

The focus is drinks with food as an option. I mean the alcohol menu is three times the food... It's a fun space dimly lit with a large bar being the majority of space along with some stool seating along the outer sides. I actually like this because you can people watch to your hearts content. The music was definitely loud but being a bit away from the bar helped a little, though a great playlist. Our waiter was kind and I did appreciate how detailed they were in describing everything when the food and drinks came out. The menu really is all over the place when it comes to the cuisine they have. You go from papaya salad to beef patties to chocolate flan. Normally, these places will have what I call the "white spice".I got the papaya salad and girl that was spicy lol (like thai spicy, as it should be). My tongue was on fire, I couldn't tell if the beef patties I got next were spicy but I felt spice as I was having it. Still the flavor of the papaya salad was delicious and one time I will buy a salad on a menu. My favorite dish was the red snapper which was a meal size and came with a good amount of rice to share. Everything else we ordered was a bite size. The drinks were good but nothing really stood out to me apart from mine having bark on it lol. I went for the classic but I wasn't feeling any of the odd experimental flavors.... Wasabi and strawberry lmfao. From some of the menu descriptions (apart from the very obvious ones), I couldn't get a gist of what it was or how it would come out, especially the drinks. In addition, yelp doesn't have a lot of the menu items on their page. You would think this place is newish but it opened in 2017?? It was still fun to try something a bit different in the area mixed in with all the fancier restaurants in the area. I mean it is right across from The tower which looks like a freaking mini castle. $$$ Food 7 Atmosphere 8 Service 7 What we got Mr. Paradisco Cloister Green mango Beef patty Red snapper

This time around we were disappointed. Drinks were the same. Tasty. The "snacks" they use to give to patrons were no longer available. Changes had been made & our server offered us nuts. We decided to stay for dinner. Steak was cooked perfectly & tasty, however, not was not sliced as we had asked to share. Our broccolini was cold. Our server took it back & returned it lukewarm this time. We did not get bread as the table next to us did. Pretty disappointed this time around. When we return we will give this place another try in hope it will be as spectacular as the first visit. This visit would have made the place a one & done. Ambiance is great. Perfect to have cocktails & chat with friends, colleagues, and family.

So of course we had to see for ourselves! This is an upscale bar and the decor looks like a sitting library. They take reservations but we didn't have any so be prepared to take your chances at the bar - even on a weekday during lunchtime. We ended up standing by the bar and ordered two old fashion's. Oh my goodness they were SO GOOD. Expensive but worth it. Eventually a seat at the bar did open up so one of us sat and the other stood. We only stayed for one drink but the food people were ordering looked good. And the other drinks looked good too. The bartenders were also friendly. I would say the attire is mixed but mostly smart casual for the daytime. There was a couple visiting their daughter in college who were casually dressed so I really don't think it matters. At least not for the daytime. Money is good whether you're wearing yoga pants or a nice dress .

It's so "Boston" with a lot of mood lighting, sooth jazz music, and just overall people enjoying their time there. Fair warning, you cannot get a walk-in table, so if you want to go here (which I'd 100% recommend doing) make sure to book a reservation a day before relatively early on!

My partner had made a last minute reservation, but realized he made it for the wrong day when we arrived and although they were a full house that Saturday night, he made sure to get us in with a short wait. Inside is dark and loud, which is not much of my preferred ambience. Luckily, we sat outside with fresh air and it was a warm Summer evening, so it felt nice. Unfortunately, this is off my list because we were not amazed.
